Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 1148
She couldn't be kicked out of the medical institute!
"Miss Luna, I know there was a misunderstanding with Flora, but surely you can't just boot me out because of it?" Kylie pleaded, her voice tight with desperation. "The Falcone family is the top dog on Lone Island, known for their sense of justice. I haven't done anything wrong, so you can't just throw me out!"
Ethan chuckled, "Do you really think I'm here to debate with you? I'm just letting you know, and honestly, this is the best way forward. Flora's birthday is around the corner, and I don't want anything messing up her day."
Did she really think getting kicked out of the medical institute was the worst that could happen?
But for Kylie, her medical career was effectively over. With both the Falcone and Reyes families against her, she could kiss her future in medicine goodbye. After pouring most of her life into studying, to end up not even being wanted by a decent hospital-that was a punishment that cut deep.
"Mike" Kylie turned to Mike, hoping he might speak up for her.
Mike glanced at Karter and Amanda, who remained stone-faced, and Connor, who hadn't uttered a word. He felt utterly helpless; what good would it do to look at him? He had warned her not to cross Flora.
When the White family was in charge, they ran the medical institute. But since their downfall, the Luna, Mu, and Jiang families held sway, with Elio, who doted on his daughter above all else, turning a blind eye to everything else. So now, it was up to the Luna and Jiang families.
And Flora was their darling.
"Take her away," Mike gestured, and two people moved to drag Kylie away.
"I won't leave!"
Now fear gripped Kylie; being expelled would ruin everything! Pride forgotten, she begged Flora, "I was wrong, Flora, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have bad-mouthed you. Please, don't kick me out!"
"You're a med student too! You know if I'm expelled, I'll never be able to work in medicine again! Please, show some mercy!"
Flora looked at her, her expression
as cold as ice, not a hint of sympathy in her eyes. Compassion was never her strong suit, and whether Kylie sank or swam was none of her concern.
Before making mistakes, Kylie should've thought of the consequences.
"Take her away."
Amanda's voice was unwavering, not wanting someone like Kylie to sully her daughter Flora's presence.
In the end, despite all her pleading, Kylie was dragged off.
Everyone else was on edge,
especially those from the medical
Oration, worried that Flora
might utter a single word that would lead to their own downfall.
"Flora, has anyone else been giving you trouble?" Ethan's gaze swept over the uneasy crowd, his eyes narrowing. "Just say the word, and we'll deal with it."
With that, everyone shook with fear.
Flora didn't hesitate, casually pointing at two people. "Them."
These two were Kylie's cronies, who had previously insulted Selene and repeatedly mocked the Austenbergs, calling them inept.
The two she pointed at buckled, collapsing to their knees, their faces drained of color.
It was over.
Completely over.
