Hiding With Her Twin Babies -
Chapter 26
Jennie and Dante have been busy the last couple of weeks. The school holidays have begun, and they are busy packing. The twins and Jack are not very happy leaving the school they just got used to, but they like adventure and are looking forward to going to their new school. Unfortunately, Jennie has no clue that Dante is planning a surprise holiday for them. He wants to take the family to the Maldives and propose to Jennie. Dante wants to make it romantic but also involves the children. He wants the three children always to feel part of him and Jennie. He wants to include them, and he will ask them for ideas so they feel they are all part of his plans.
The last day in Houston has arrived, and they will fly in Dante’s private jet to LA in the afternoon. Jennie’s office has officially opened for business in LA. They have shipped all their things to LA, and they only have their clothes with them. Jennie keeps in contact with her team in LA every day. That includes Rosemary. They all go and eat at Charlie’s Place and see Enzo sitting there looking like the dogs stole his food.
“Hi Bro, what are you doing here?” Dante asks. He thought Enzo was in LA.
“I just came from LA. I came here to find my Rose, but the waiters tell me she is gone. She quit, and they had no clue where she went or where I could find her,” Enzo says.
“You mean the waitress that worked here? The one that you liked so much?” Dante asks.
“Yes, her name is Rose. I even went where she stayed, and her sister told me she packed and left. But, she did not tell Hanna, her sister, where she went,” Enzo says.
“I know how that feels,” Dante says, and looks at Jennie, who looks at him with innocent eyes.
“Did you tell her how you felt about her?” Jennie asks.
“No, I did not have the chance. I was still busy making her use to me. I did not want to scare her away,” Enzo says.
“That is a shame. Well, we can help you look for your Rose,” Jennie says.
“I don’t know her real name as her sister Hanna did not want to talk about her. It was like Hanna was trying to befriend me and tell me I was out of Rose league. She refused to give me any more information about Rose. If only I knew where she studied or what she studied,” Enzo says. He looks like he wants to cry. Jennie frowns. She does not like seeing Enzo so sad. Maybe she can introduce him to someone else, but she knows no one will be good enough for Enzo but his Rose.
“Where are you going to start to search? She could have gone anywhere in the states, and you only know she is known as Rose,” Dante says.
“Yeah, I know,” Enzo says. But unfortunately, Jennie does not realise that Rosemary is Enzo’s love, and she does not say anything about Rosemary working for her.
“Well, I looked for the woman I love for eight years. You will find her, I am sure,” Dante says. He takes Jennie’s hand and k****s it.
“Yeah, but you knew her full name and everything,” Enzo says. He is disheartened. Jennie thinks of a plan as they sit there. She will go and see this Hanna woman and make her talk. She has a feeling this sister of Enzo’s Rose is an evil woman and needs to be taught a life lesson. Enzo was too soft with her. Jennie excuses herself to go to the bathroom. She needs a talk with the personal manager. Jennie sneaks into the personnel manager’s office.
“Hi, sir, I am so sorry to disturb you, but I am about to employ a girl that used to work here, and I need a recommendation letter from you if you can help me,” Jennie asks the manager.
“Sure, what is her name?” The helpful manager asks.
“Rose,” Jennie answers.
“Oh, she is a great and dedicated worker. I will write a letter for you right now. You want her full name on it, right?” He asks.
“Yes, please, and can you give me her address as I want to visit her,” Jennie says.
“Sure, no problem,” The manager says. Usually, he would not give out information like that, but this is Jennie Petrov, the woman who stole Dante Hudson’s heart. He knows he can trust her with the data. So he hands her the letter, and Jennie puts it in her bag without looking at it.
“Thank you so much,” Jennie says.
“Tell, Rose. We wish her all the luck in the world in her new job. We miss her and her shiny personality,” The manager says, and Jennie walks out and goes back to the table. Jennie looks at the distraught Enzo and smiles. He did not think clearly in his grief about losing Rose. Jennie takes the letter out of her bag and looks at it. She sees the full names on the letter and smiles. Enzo’s Rose is Rosemary, who is working for her now! She will tell Enzo later to let him suffer a bit longer for his sins. Besides, Jennie first wants to see this Hanna. After eating, the children are still ordering ice cream, so Jennie sees her gap.
“Will you guys excuse me for a while? I just remembered I forgot to buy something I need for our trip to LA. It will not be long,” Jennie says.
“Take your time, love, we will wait, or you hear,” Dante says, and Jennie k****s Dante on the cheek before rushing to the address the manager gave her.
She knocks on the door, and Hanna opens it. She recognises Jennie Petrov immediately and makes sure the neighbours see her visitor.
“Oh, Miss Petrov, what an honour,” Hanna says. She knows Jennie Petrov is her husband’s biggest partner around here. Since Jennie Petrov came to town, they have had many dealings with her. So much so that they are much wealthier now and not on the verge of bankruptcy like they were before Jennie helped them out. Jennie recognises Hanna as the wife of one of her partners. She did business here, in Houston, with Larson and his company. She will not need them anymore, anyway.
“Yeah, I am here on business. I need to see your sister, Rose,” Jennie says.
“Well, that ungrateful thing left, and she left me without any help. She and that child she is dragging with her everywhere disappeared and left me without a housekeeper,” Hanna says.
“First of all, you do not call your sister a thing, and the child she is dragging with her is your other sister. What kind of woman are you? Second, I will tell your husband I am cutting all ties with his company. I will also make sure that no other tech company works with him ever again. Besides, people like you need to come down to earth. I do not like the way you treated Rosemary and your little sister,” Jennie says as she walks away.
“Miss Petrov, please wait,” Hanna begs Jennie, but Jennie ignores her, and she walks to the waiting SUV. Hanna storms after her and wants to grab the door of the SUV, but Jennie slaps it close, and Hanna’s hand is in the way. Hanna shouts out in pain. She cries as Larson comes home, and she tells him everything.
“You stupid b***h! We are done! Bankrupt, and it is all your fault and that sisters of yours! We should not have taken them in!” Larson shouts at Hanna. They sit and think about what to do until late, but they have debt and have no other plan to save themselves.
Jennie, Dante, the children and Enzo are on a private jet flying to LA. Enzo is searching the internet and all the social media platforms for all the girls called Rose. So far, he has no luck, and he slams his laptop close.
“I will never find her!” Enzo says. He is looking frustrated and sad. Jennie wonders if she should put him out of his misery. He put her in a lousy position with Dante, but she thinks he has enough punishment.
“What if I tell you I know where your Rose is and what her full name is,” Jennie asks Enzo.
“Don’t joke with me, Jennie,” Enzo says.
“Her name is Rosemary Taylor, and she is working for me,” Jennie says.
“What? Why didn’t you say anything? How do you know it is her?” Enzo asks.
“Well, I did not know at first until I went to the personal manager of Charlie’s place today to ask for a recommendation letter for Rose, hoping to get her full name. That is when I realised she was the girl I had hired to work for me in LA,” Jennie says, and she tells them all about how she met Rose and how her professor highly recommended her.
“That is not possible. What are the chances of you meeting the girl I love in a big city like Houston?” Enzo asks. He is sceptical that Rosemary Taylor is the same girl he is after and hoping to make his wife one day.
“I am telling you it is her. I went to where she was staying, and Hanna, her sister, opened the door. Hanna’s husband, Larson, was doing business with me, but I stopped them, and I will make sure no one does business with them again. They treated Rose like s**t, and I will not allow it. Besides, Rose has a little sister, and you need to know she comes with a package as she will never let her little sister down,” Jennie says. She tells them all Rose has told her, and Enzo listens carefully. He does not care to take both of them under his wing. He loves children, and children love him. Well, except for his nephew, who is stating him down and wanted to break his fingers a few weeks ago on the yacht.
“I am glad you are not in love with my mom. She belongs to my dad and us,” Jayden says.
“Yeah, we only have one daddy,” Jayda supports her brother.
“We will not allow you near our mom in the future,” Jack says. He just wants to say something, so he also feels like he is part of the pack against uncle Enzo.
“Wow, okay, guys. No need to hate me. I learned my lesson and will never come near your mom again. Besides, I am afraid of your father. He might kill me,” Enzo says, laughing.
“Well, then we will call you uncle from now on, and you may buy us some toys,” Jayda says as she walks over to Enzo and climbs on his lap. Enzo smiles and shakes his head. She is a little trickster, but she is so cute, and Enzo can not help but hug Jayda.
“You can not order someone to buy you anything, young lady,” Jennie says, as she is not happy that her daughter is such a brat.
“Mom, uncle Enzo has not seen us for seven years, so he may spoil us a little. I love barbies and games,” Jayda says to Enzo, as she knows she already has him under her spell. Jennie looks at Dante, but he can never say no to his princess, and he smiles.
“You better teach her to behave, or we are going to have problems with her later on in life,” Jennie says to Dante, who knows he is in trouble now and has better do as Jennie asks, or he might be sleeping in a spare room tonight in LA.
“Mom is right, princess. You can not ask someone to buy you things. It would be best if you worked for what you want in life,” Dante says. Jayda knows her father is trying to get in her mom’s good books and looks at him with a smile.
“But uncle Enzo is my uncle. He is not someone,” Jayda counters her father.
“I will buy you and your brothers lots of toys when your mom is not looking,” Enzo promises Jayda and looks guilty at Jennie.
Jayda smiles happily, and Jennie glares at Enzo. The Casella’s are spoiling the children, and they need to stop somewhere. She will have to talk with all of them. Jennie teaches her children to do chores if they want something and use their own money to buy what they want. Things have gotten out of hand now. Enzo is still not sure that Rosemary is his Rose, but he has hope in his heart, making him happy, so he just laughs at Jennie, who is glaring at him.
