Hiding With Her Twin Babies
Chapter 35

Enzo and Rose can not wait to tell the rest of the family about their little one on the way, but they first want to make sure and go to their doctor. So they decide the one that they will tell first is Tammy. So they visit their doctor, and after doing a scan, he notifies them they are indeed pregnant. Rose is a bit worried about how Tammy will take the news. She is afraid Tammy will feel left out and think the baby will take her family. So that night, Enzo and Rose sit down with Tammy.

“Tammy, we have very important news to tell you, but before we do, you must always remember you are and will always be a part of our family,” Enzo says.

“You are having a baby?” Tammy asks. She is clever, and she realised that Enzo and Rose have been hiding it from her, but she is not worried as she knows they love her. They have proved their love to her by giving her the best birthday party there is.

“Yes, how did you guess?” Rose asks.

“Well, it was easy. I know you, both, and I know you will only tell me good news. I will be an aunt, and I will be the best aunt in the world. I hope it is a little girl, though,” Tammy says.

“Why a little girl?” Enzo asks.

“Because them when I grow older, she can have my room, and I can give her all my dolls and princess dresses,” Tammy says.

“Well, we will have to tell grandma and grandpa and the rest of the family now,” Rose says, smiling. She is glad Tammy took it so well, and she also hopes to have a little girl. On the other hand, Enzo hopes it is a boy, but he says nothing as Rose and Tammy talk. Finally, they call all the family and arrange for a family dinner. Jennie and Dante are the only two that know about Rose being pregnant, and they have not said a word to the rest of the family as they did not want to spoil Enzo and Rose’s surprise.

The whole family is gathered at Enzo and Rose’s house for dinner the following night. No one knows why Enzo and Rose want to talk to them so soon after Tammy’s party, but they love to gather around good food and family. Andrei and Angelica are there first, and they look delighted. They are so in love, and Rose smiles as she sees the young love blossoming between the two of them. Next, Mabel shows up with Tristan, but deep in her heart, she knows that Tristan is not the one for her, and she can feel he feels the same. The two of them are more friends than they will ever be lovers. Finally, Jen and Logan show up with Dante, Jennie and the trio. Jennie and Dante know what it is all about, but they are not planning on telling anyone before Enzo and Rose say anything. Jennie and Dante look like a couple made in heaven. Dante is very protective over her and his children, and if anyone touches her, he will kill them. He loves her so much, and he is still getting used to having her by his side. Eight years waiting for the woman he loves makes him appreciate her and his children and little Jack so much more.

Rose has served only the best Italian dishes as she knows how the Casellas loves their Italian food. She is nervous. She does not know how everyone will take the news as it is so soon after they married, but she knows they all love Enzo and should be happy for him. As everyone is sitting around the table, Rose can not help to feel emotional. She wished her parents were there to celebrate this beautiful day with her and her in-laws. She wished Hanna was a better sister and could be happy for her. The only family member she has with her is little Tammy, and she is thankful to at least have her there.

“So, I guess you want to share something with us?” Jen asks.

“Yes, we have. Enzo and Rose are going to have a baby, and I am going to be an aunt,” Tammy comes out with everything before Enzo and Rose can say anything.

“Well, that is good news. I am so happy for the two of you,” Mabel says. However, she feels a bit sad as everyone has met the people they want to spend the rest of their lives with, and she still feels alone. Nevertheless, she knows that sooner or later, she and Tristan will have to talk, and they will have to be honest with each other. They can not force love where there is no love. She plans to tell Tristan on their next date and starts looking for someone who can steal her heart. She can tell Tristan is not into her as well, and he keeps a secret from her in his heart.

Jen and Logan are over the moon as they can not have enough grandchildren to spoil. Everyone congratulates the couple before the dessert. They all stay a bit longer, and Jen hopes it is a little girl as she only has Tammy and Jayda she can spoil with cute dresses and dolls. Logan hopes it is a boy. As everyone goes home, Rose is relieved that they took the news of their pregnancy so well. The dinner was a success, and everyone enjoyed themselves. As Dante, Jennie, and the children drives home. The trio is quiet. They are staring at their parents and does not look too happy.

“What is wrong with you three?” Jennie asks.

“When are you getting married and giving us a little brother or sister? Mom and dad, you are not getting any younger, you know?” Jayda asks.

“Are you saying we are old?” Dante teases Jayda.

“No, but you better hurry up and get married and give us a brother or sister like Tammy,” Jayda says.

“Yeah, it is about time for you two to get hooked,” Jayden says.

“Well, we were waiting for the school holidays so you can go with us on our honeymoon, but we can get married tomorrow and leave you with your grandparents when we go on a nice holiday,” Jennie teases.

“No, next school holidays sounds nice,” Jayden says, and the other two agree.

“Yeah, we are in no hurry,” Jack says, and Dante and Jennie smile at each other. They know the children, and they know they love being near their parents. The trio is now happy, and although the school holiday is still a long time away, they can wait a couple of months if that means they can be with their parents on holiday. Dante looks worried as they reach their home, but he does not want to upset Jennie and the children. Lately, there have been new developments in the Italian Mafia. Only Dante and his father know about it, and they are trying to keep it a secret from the rest of the family. Logan and Dante have doubled the security around the children, and no one can get close to them. They want to put up more protection around the women in their family. They do not know what will happen in the next few months as Logan is about to hand his ring over, and the vote is in the hands of the other Dons. Logan kept his ring for a reason. So no one will have the guts to interfere with the family of the Godfather. They are planning on having all security in place by next week. They do not want to take chances with the ones they love.

Logan and Jen are over the moon about the news, and as they drive home, they can not help to talk about their children and the new baby that is on the way. But, both of them ignore the elephant in the room. They do not want to talk about Mabel as both could see she is longing for love like her brothers and sisters have. They know Tristan is not the right man for their daughter as she needs a much stronger man than Tristan to control her wild side.

Mabel drives to her apartment. She had stayed there alone in LA since her parents moved to Houston. However, since Angelica and Andrei are a couple, she has no one to hang out with anymore, and she feels like she will never meet the right man for her. As a result, she feels lonely and depressed. None of the superstars she dated or even Tristan that she thought was the man for her can give her that feeling of love she craved so much.

Andrei and Angy are in a world of their own. They just realised how much they loved each other a few days ago and are happy in love. However, Angy is also worried about Mabel. She feels sorry for her sister, and she hopes her sister will find the love of her life soon. She does not want to see Mabel unhappy, and it is evident to her and her whole family that Mabel is not meant to be with Tristan. They all hoped it would work out, but Tristan is a soft man with a soft heart, and he will not handle Mabel.

A few nights later. Tristan is staring at Mabel, who is chatting all the time. They are on a date, and although Tristan likes Mabel as a friend, he does not love her. He knows he will have to tell her that he sees her as a sister and not a girlfriend. Tristan lost his heart years ago on someone else. She works for him and only sees him as her boss. Claire travels with him everywhere he goes. He always takes her with him as he can not stand being away from her. Claire is French like he is, and she understands him more than any other woman understands Tristan. So tonight, he took Mabel out to tell her. He does not want to break anyone’s heart, but sometimes things are not meant to be.

“Listen, Mabel, I like you as a friend and see you as a younger sister,” Tristan starts.

“I know there are no fireworks between us. I feel the same. We are better off as friends,” Mabel says. Mabel has realised that she also sees Tristan as a friend than a lover. Being with him alone tonight has just confirmed her feelings. She wants what her sister and brothers have. She wants love and butterflies in her stomach, and no one has been able to give her that. Not Andrei or Tristan.

“Well, that is a relief,” Tristan says.

“I know! I did not want to break anyone’s heart,” Mabel says, and the two of them laugh. They are relieved. Tristan tells Mabel about his love for Claire, and Mabel understands now why she had that feeling that Tristan’s heart is not in with her. After dinner, they go home. However, Tristan does not drive home. Instead, he drives to the apartment he rented for Claire. It is time he stops being a coward and tells Claire how he feels. He stops at her apartment building and goes straight to her apartment door. Claire opens the door and sees her boss Tristan standing in front of her. Her heart felt heavy as she was looking for a night off, but sometimes Tristan will work through the night, and he will come and fetch her to help him.

“I will get dressed, boss and be right with you,” Claire says, but Tristan walks into the apartment and pulls Claire into his arms. He starts kissing her, and Claire is taken aback at first. She loved Tristan for a long time. But, she thought she did not stand a chance as he was dating people like Mabel Hudson. Now he is kissing her. At last, he let go of her.

“I love you, Claire. I can not stand being around you with my heart full of love and not being able to touch you,” Tristan says.

“I love you, Tristan,” Claire says, a little shy. Tristan does not go home that night. Mabel never got home that night, but not because she went to a lover.
