Dante thinks about how he handled the situation. It is not in his nature to let someone off the hook so easy for threatening his family. Still, sometimes the Godfather has to make decisions that are best for the Italian Mafia, and he knows Mario and Victor will stand behind him now. Their followers who wanted him out will realise that he is not a bad leader and can show mercy. They will have more respect for him now. He is also not one that likes to leave children orphans and their mother a widower. Mario and Jackie are leaving tonight for Italy. Mario is surprised that he feels free and relieved that he can hand his responsibilities to his son Victor now. He is old and tired and wants to retire with his wife. He loves Jackie, and he almost lost her. It took her almost losing her to realise everything in life is not about having power and money. They can live their last years in peace and still see their grandchildren when they want to.

The weeks go by fast, and Jennie gets nervous as the school holidays are almost upon them and her wedding day is approaching fast. She looks forward to becoming Dante’s wife, but she is anxious to get it over. Jen, Angy and Mabel are driving her crazy. She has to go cake tasting and decide on the cake design for her wedding today. Tomorrow she has to go and try her dress on. The day after tomorrow she has to go and see the venue. Jennie’s days are full, and she still works on the new game she and her new young partner are developing. Jennie is tired as she works long hours to fit everything into her day. Dante can see she is overworked, and he wants to help her, but he does not know how. Maybe he must talk to his mother and sisters to take it slower with Jennie.

Dante is sitting in his office when his mother comes walking in. She has samples of some materials with her, and Dante sighs. So he is going to be pulled into this wedding thing. He also wishes it is over. Poor Jennie. He can only imagine what she must go through every day. Dante looks up as his mother comes and sits next to him on the couch in his office.

“What do you think of these materials for the receptions table cloths? Since your wedding is white and blue, I think we should go with this one,” Jen says and shows Dante the example of a beautiful white cloth with a blue pattern around the edges.

“It is beautiful,” Dante says. He hardly looked at it as he did not care what the venue looked like as long as he could make Jennie his wife. He will fly to Las Vegas tonight and marry her before an Elvis impersonator if he has to as long as Jennie becomes his wife. Dante has planned their honeymoon, and they will be going to Botswana. It is a beautiful country in Southen Africa with beautiful lodges where you can stay. They will tour the country and even go to the Okavango Delta. A place is as beautiful as the Garden of Eden. Wild animals can roam freely, especially in the national parks, and he knows the children will enjoy seeing that part of the world. His mother and father are coming with them so that they can watch the children when Jennie and Dante want some alone time.

“You have not listened to one word I said!” Jen shouts at her oldest son. Then, finally, Dante comes back to reality and looks at his mother.

“Sometimes, I want to take Jennie and elope. So we can get married before an Elvis impersonater in Las Vegas and take the children you and dad and go to Botswana for the honeymoon,” Dante says.

“You will do no such thing! Jennie deserves the best!” Jen says, and Dante laughs at his mother’s face. Enzo comes walking in, saving Dante from his mother. Jen was ready to slap her son until he came to his senses.

“Hi, mom, Dante. What are you to argue about?” Enzo asks.

“He wants to elope with Jennie and marry her in Las Vegas before an Elvis impersonator! Can you believe this brother of yours! Dante is not very romantic! Poor Jennie. I wonder if he ever did something romantic for her,” Jen says as she glares at Dante.

“I am no Romeo, mother. I can only try my best with the children around, and we do not have much private time,” Dante says.

“Bullshit! The children come and visit your father and me a lot. So you better treat Jennie right,” Jen says.

“Ha, you better get your act right, brother. Mom will kick your a*s,” Enzo says and smiles as he looks at Dante, glaring at him.

“Oh, like you are a Romeo! You tricked Rose into marrying you,” Dante says.

“Hey, that is romantic! I wanted her, and I got her, and now we will have a little one soon,” Enzo says.

“If you think that is romantic, I feel sorry for Rose,” Jen says.

“Dad tricked you into becoming engaged to him,” Dante says.

“That was another matter. Your dad is very romantic and will take me out on picnics and buy me flowers and once a month we have a date night. He always surprises me by taking me to new places!” Jen says.

“Hmm, dad is retired now, and I bet he is playing golf with his friends, and that is why you are here pestering me,” Dante says, smiling.

“Being a couple does not mean you have to be with each other twenty-four-seven,” Jen says. Her son is right Logan went to play golf, but she does not care as he will pick her up later for dinner.

“Yeah, I know, but Jennie is working too hard, and this wedding makes her have to work late nights. So I want to take some of the burdens off her shoulders,” Dante says.

“Well, you can come and taste some cake with me, and Jennie can work,” Jen says.

“I can do that if it means she gets a few extra hours to work today, so she does not have to work tonight,” Dante says.

Jennie is so busy with work that she looks up at the young Jason Morgan when Jen calls. He is sitting in front of her, and the two of them were so busy working Jennie forgot about the time.

“Damn, I forgot about the cake tasting today,” Jennie says and sighs.

“You are working really hard, Jennie. Why don’t you take some time off to plan your wedding,” Jason says. He admires this woman as she is one of the best he has ever worked with, and their game will be a big hit.

“No, I am already taking off for my honeymoon, and I want this project done so we can get out the demos,” Jennie says. She answers her phone before it can stop ringing.

“Hi, Aunt Jen, I forgot about the cake testing today. I will hurry over right now,” Jennie says.

“Hi Jennie, there is no need. Dante is going with us, and you can finish your work for today,” Jen says. Jennie starts laughing as she is relieved and surprised.

“How did you get Dante to go with you?” Jennie asks, still laughing.

“Well, he offered, and he said he did not want you to work so late today as the children, and he misses you when you are not home,” Jen says. Jennie feels guilty as she knows she did not spend much time with the children lately, and she always used to put them first, but she was sure they were happy staying with Dante while she worked. So she decides since she does not have to go to the cake tasting, she can go home earlier and cook for them.

“Tell Dante I will be home earlier today, and he does not have to worry about food. Also, can you convince him to go to the dress fitting?” Jennie laughs.

“Well, I can try, but I think he will have a hard time with that one,” Jen laughs with Jennie. Loraine has arrived yesterday and will join them tomorrow for the dress fitting. She came from Russia to be with Jennie and help with the wedding planning. Jennie is happy that she came and wants to be part of her wedding planning.

“Well, Dante can help with the venue then,” Jennie teases as she knows she is pushing her luck now. Dante is not one for all these fancy things, and she knows if it were not for his family, he would have married her long ago in a chapel with only her and the children present, or even worst, he would make her elope with him to Las Vegas and married her there. Jennie smiles. Dante may not be the most romantic guy she knows, but he loves her and the children so much, and he is not ashamed to show it in public and the privacy of their home. She talks to Jen for a few more minutes, then looks at Jason.

“Well, we can work as I don’t have to go cake testing anymore. Dante is standing in for me. So tonight we do not have to work so late. I am sure you will love a night out with your friends and girlfriend,” Jennie says with a smile.

“I do not have many friends, and I do not have time for girlfriends. So I play online games when I am home, and it helps me relax,” Jason says. Jason is only sixteen, and he hopes to find a girl one day that shares his passion for online games. There are many gamer chicks online, but they are playing to pick up boys. Well, most of them are not even good at playing. He likes playing with a bunch of smaller kids called the trio, but another little girl joined them, and he helps them as they are all very clever with gaming. They are known as the big five on their game, as no one can beat them. He enjoys teaching them new tricks and how to level up. They all look up at him as he is their leader.

Jennie and Jason call it a day at five, and they rush home. Jason meets up with his teammates on the game and Jennie to cook for her family. As she gets home, the children are in their rooms, and she decides to surprise them by starting their favourite dinner. She will make spaghetti bolognese, and tonight they will eat as a family around the table. Dante walks into the house and smells the food. He is full of all the cake, but it was so sweet he wants some real food, and whatever is cooking smells delicious. He walks to the kitchen and sees Jennie cookie. He looks at her with a smile. Dante walks over to her and hugs her from behind. Then he hands her a single blue rose. It will be part of the wedding bouquets. Jennie turns k****s Dante, as this is so romantic.

“So, what cake did you pick?” Jennie asks.

“Some cream cake as I could not taste the difference anymore. I never want to eat cake in my life again,” Dante says and k****s Jennie.

“Ewww, you two always k****s,” Jayden says.

“It is romantic, and one day you will k**s girls also,” Jayda says. Jack smiles as he knows the twins by now. They always have to disagree.

“I will not k**s girls. I am not going to get married ever. I will stay on my own and play games all day when I am not working,” Jayden says.

“Yeah, we will talk again when you are old enough to want to k**s girls,” Jayda says.

“I want to be like our leader on the game and play games for a living,” Jayden says.

“We will see,” Is all that Jayda says. They have smelled the food and are hungry. They love their mother’s spaghetti bolognese. So Jennie dish up, and the family sits around the table and eat together.

The following few days, Jennie was busy fitting her dress and working again. Dante helps out with the wedding things when he can, and the days go by fast. Before Jennie realises it, it is the day of her wedding. She gets out of bed, and Dante is not there as his father takes him to their house as they believe the groom can not see the bride before she walks into the chapel.
