Hiding With Her Twin Babies -
Chapter 72
A few weeks later, Andrei calls the family and informs them calmy that Angy went into labour and is at the hospital. It was early in the morning on a Saturday, and the trio was starting to get ready to play their games. Jennie knocks on Jayden’s room, and he looks up as his mother walks in. He is fully dressed. The trio has already had breakfast and is ready for a day of gaming.
“Hi, mom, what’s up?” Jayden asks.
“We have to go to the hospital. Your Aunt Angy is having her babies,” Jennie says.
“Serious, she could not wait until Monday? At least we could have missed school,” Jayden says. He sighs and logs out of his computer. He loves his family, but sometimes they can spoil his fun. He picks up his tablet and will play the game at the hospital on his table until the babies are born. Jennie calls Jayda and Jack while she gets the babies ready to leave for the hospital. The trio has their tablets with them as they do not want to be bored while waiting for the babies to arrive. They know how long it can take. After Aunt Rose has her baby, they hope it will be the last of all the children in this family. They are tired of going to the hospital, and the people at the hospital must think their family are like rabbits. They only make children all the time.
As they reach the hospital, they go to the waiting room, and the nurse on duty look at them with a smile. The nurses and doctor loves the trios, and the nurse brings the trio and the other children some chocolate cookies and milk. Bernardo and Mabel show up last. They look tired. Jennie smiles as she knows that feeling. It is hard to have your first children, and they are twins.
“Hi, how are you two coping?” Jennie asks.
“We are doing good, except for little sleep, dirty nappies and feeding every few hours,” Mabel says.
“You will get used to it,” Jennie says. Dante looks at Jennie and frowns. The little twins are running around already, and they are still a handful. However, Dante loves his family, and he seems proud as little Dante runs over to his grandparents. He k****s his grandparents and jumps on his grandma’s lap.
“K**s,” Little Dante says and k****s his grandmother. They are talking a bit now, and they seem not to forget words, so everyone is afraid of saying the wrong words around them. Delaney runs to her grandfather and gets on his lap.
“Old Daddy,” She says, and Logan laughs. She can not say grandfather or granddad yet, so she calls Logan “Old Daddy” he hugs her and k****s her. The trio is playing on their tablets and are so busy they hardly notice anyone around them. They are used to not being the centre of everyone’s world anymore, and they feel relieved. They know their family and grandparents still love them, but at least there are now other children that can share in all the love and affection. They have more breathing space now to do what they want while the adults have to look after babies.
Andrei is so proud of Angy in the delivery room as she is a strong woman. Unlike her sister, Angy is no drama queen, and she hardly shows her pain, but Andrei knows his wife, and he can see she is in pain. So he rubs her hair and k****s her forehead. She smiles up at him. He knows she is putting on her strong face, and he admires it from her. Angy is the quiet strong type of woman Andrei admires. The doctor is the same doctor that delivered Mabel’s babies, and he was expecting to have another drama queen on his hands, but to his surprise, Angy is quiet and only m***s when the pain hits her.
“I love you, honey,” Andrei whispers as he sees his wife struggling with the birth. He can see she is getting tired, but she keeps powering throw the pains, and she pushes every time the doctor tells her to. The nurses admire this strong woman as many women shout and scream as they give birth. They still remember how her sister was cursing her poor husband, but Angy presses Andrei’s hand, and he helps her up when she has to push.
“I love you, babe. Thank you for helping me,” Angy says, and she sounds so different from her sister. Angy is used to being a strong woman and will never show any weakness. For years she loved Andrei, and now he is here next to her holding her hand and helping her give birth to their babies.
“We are almost there,” The doctor says. It is a protracted birth, and he can understand that Angy is getting tired and in much pain as the babies are being difficult and not in a rush to enter this world. It has been hours, and it is almost dark outside when, at last, the doctor sees the head of the first baby.
“Okay, now push hard,” The doctor says, and Angy sits a bit upright and pushes as hard as possible. Andrei holds her as she pushes, and they hear the screams of the first baby. The other baby is born a few minutes later, and the doctor looks and Angy and Andrei.
“This little guy was born first, and this little guy second,” The nurse says.
“We have two boys?” Andrei asks.
“Yes, sir, two healthy big boys,” The nurse says.
“You were one of my best patients ever. I bet you will be an excellent mother,” The doctor says as he hands the babies to Angy. Angy is tired but smiles as she looks at the little faces of her two sons. Andrei bends over and k****s his wife and his two sons.
“Logan and Boris,” Angy says with a tired voice.
“Yes, we can name them after their grandfathers,” Andrei agrees. He is so glad Angy suggested it, as he wanted to name one of his sons after Logan and the other after his father, Boris. They are two strong men that Andrei admires a lot. The nurses come into the delivery room to clean Angy and the babies and take them to their room. Andrei picks up his sons and holds them for a while before handing them to the nurses. Then, he walks out of the delivery room, and his men know what to do. They know to protect their future leaders and the boss’s wife. Andrei walks to the waiting room, where everyone sits quietly and waits. The babies are all napping. Andrei considers that and says quietly that he and Angy have two boys.
“At last, it took them long enough,” Jayden whispers, but everyone hears him, and Andrei laughs softly.
“What are you going to call them?” Jayda asks. She does not want to wake up the babies as their crying and moaning have already given her a headache.
“Logan and Boris,” Andrei says proudly. Logan and Boris look at each other and smile. The two will become legends like themselves. Logan and Boris do not have to be modest as they are well-known legends in the underworld. No one will dare to take them on, and their sons are already as famous as they are. After everyone went to look at Angy and the babies, the family left.
“I will buy everyone dinner,” Logan says.
“I will pay for half of it since our grandsons are named after both of us, and it is my first grandchildren,” Boris says. He does not think of Jennie and her feeling after he says that. Instead, he sees the sad look in Jennie’s eyes. She is only his adopted daughter, so her children are not his grandchildren, and Jennie should know that he did not mean bad by saying it. Dante can see the hurt on his wife’s face, and he holds her in his arms while he k****s her on the forehead.
“Luckily, we did not waste your name on one of our children then,” Dante says as he looks Boris in the eyes. Jennifer was also about to say something, but Dante spoke before she could.
“Let’s go and eat,” Logan says as he looks at Boris with a frown. Sometimes Boris can speak without thinking and hurting other people’s feelings.
“I did not mean it that way, Jennie. I am sorry. I love the trio and the twins as my grandchildren,” Boris apologises to Jennie.
“It is okay,” Jennie says as she takes one of the sleeping babies from Dante. Dante does not look happy, though, and he feels like killing Boris on the spot. His eyes are telling Boris he is on thin ice. It was a rude thing to say in front of your adopted daughter. Boris looks at Loraine for help, but even Loriane does not look happy with him. He and his big mouth! He did not think clear at the moment.
As they get in the car to drive to the restaurant, Loraine looks at Boris. He can feel her anger toward him, and he knows he deserves every bit of it. Loraine takes out a package. They brought it with them from Russia. It is an heirloom of the Petrov family, a precious antique bracelet made of pure gold, and it has several emeralds in it. He was planning to give it to Jennie tonight as she is the oldest of the Petrov family daughters now, and even if she is not his daughter, his mother left it to his sister, Olga, but Boris never handed it over to her as he knew she would sell it. Now that Olga and her daughter are dead, it must go to Jennie. Olga does not have any other daughters, only sons, and they will gamble it away and never hand it down to their daughter.
“You know what to do,” Loraine says. She knows her son and Angy will not have any more children as they told them that they only want the twin as two children are enough for them to raise. Boris nods and takes the bracelet and puts it in his pocket. He will make up for his mistake today. He knows the bracelet must go to Jennie, and tonight he will hand it over to her. That night, Boris gets up at dinner, and he walks to Jennie. He looks at her with a smile and k****s her on the forehead.
“I am sorry about what I said, but this is yours as the older daughter in the Petrov family,” Boris says, and he takes the bracelet out of its box and puts it on Jennie’s arm. It was not always in the Petrov family as the women who got it changed surnames when they got married, but it is antique, and many collectors are seeking the bracelet of Catherine the Great. Catherine II, called Catherine, the Great, reigned over Russia for 34 years—longer than any other female in Russian history. As empress, Catherine westernised Russia. She led her country into full participation in the political and cultural life of Europe. She ruled over Russia in the seventeen hundreds. Jennie knows the history of this bracelet, and she looks surprised at Boris. Boris smiles at her, and she hugs him. He is trusting her with this precious gift. She will tell Dante all about it later. It will one day go to Jayda. The tension around the table is broken, and everyone can enjoy their meal in peace now as Jennie and Boris make peace.
Andrei is sitting and staring at his two precious sons at the hospital. He is waiting for Angy to wake up. Angy looks confused when she wakes up and is not sure where she is. She looks around her, and Andrei gets up as he knows she is looking for him.
“I am here, honey,” Andrei says. Angy smiles as she sees the man she loves so much.
“You stayed here the whole time? Did you eat?” Angy asks.
“Yes, so stop worrying about me. Are you feeling okay, baby?” Andrei asks. Angy and Andrei understand each other, and their love is like a quiet river flowing throw their veins. They are peaceful and relaxed when they are near each other. Andrei gets in the bed with Angy and holds her in his arms. No words are needed between them as they hold each other.
“I love you so much,” Andrei whispers in Angy’s ear.
“I love even more,” Angy says, smiling.
“Impossible,” Andrei says.
“Nothing in this world is impossible,” Angy says. Andrei k****s her as he does not know to answer that. Angy smiles against his lips. He always k****s her when he does not know what to say anymore. She knows him so well by now.
