The years have moved on fast. The trio are twelve now. Jennie is working full time again as the twins are in kindergarten. Enzo and Rose had a little girl born a few days after Logan and Boris, the twins of Angy and Andrei. Her name is Jessica, and it is the closest they could find to Jennifer. Like everyone else, they did not want another Jennifer in the family as it was already confusing having two Jennifers. Luckily, Jen and Jennie do not care about names as long as the children in the family are all healthy.

Jason turns twenty-one in a few days. Jason has his Master’s Degree in Computer Science. From a young age, Jason was a genius, and at the age of sixteen, he finished high school. He then studied at the University of California as he did not want to leave his father alone. Jason feels sorry for his father. With the help of Jennie and her company, Jason’s business is growing fast. However, Jason knows he can not stay with his father forever. He is almost as wealthy as his father, and he longs to have an apartment and live on his own, but he knows his father has been lonely since his mother died in a car accident when he was only three. Since then, it has been only him and his father. He knows why his father never got married again. It was not because he loved his mother so much that he could not imagine another in her place. The day his mother died in the car accident, she was with Jason’s father’s best friend. She had a coat on and underneath only lingerie. There was a hotel room key in her pocket, and Jason’s father checked the hotel’s surveillance cameras. He thought maybe Crystal and Liam were planning a surprise for him, but he was disappointed as the two of them went into the room for hours and came out drinking champagne and kissing before leaving. It broke his father’s trust in women. His father did not even go to the funeral, and Crystal’s family was angry with him, but Ryan Morgan did not care. He did not even take his son to say goodbye to the slut. From that day on, only Jason mattered to Ryan.

Ryan looks up as he feels his son’s eyes on him. Ryan always made sure to be home around dinner to spend time with his son. He knows his son will leave the house as soon as he is twenty-one and does not want to live with his old father in the home anymore. He also wants to have girls over and live a young man’s life. Ryan knows Jason bought an apartment near him, and he is at least thankful for that. He will still be able to see Jason from time to time as the apartment is close by. Jason stares at his dad. His father is in his late forties but does not look like he is even forty. Maybe he can find his father, a woman as old as he is, and a lady, his father, can respect. He will ask the trio if they know of anyone. They are little schemers, and they might be able to help him. They must not lock his father and the lady up in a safe room. Jason smiles as he thinks of what the trio did with their Uncle and Aunt.

“What are you smiling about?” Ryan asks his son.

“I was thinking of my little gaming friends. They are only eleven, and believe me, they are schemers and trouble makers, but not in a bad way,” Jason says and tells his father about the time the trio locked up their uncle and aunt so they could make peace. Ryan laughs as Jason tells him all about the trio and the things they do. Ryan knows he will miss the little talks he and his son have at night. His heart is aching, and the loneliness shows on his face without realising it. After having dinner with his father, Jason goes to his room and locks into the game. The trio is online and fighting with another alliance. Jason puts on his headphones and joins in the fight.

“Hello, boss. We are winning!” Jayden says. He is proud of their alliance, which has changed its name now to the Mob. All the best players in the game have joined them, and they now have the biggest alliance in the game.

“I see you are doing well without me. So I will not be playing as much anymore and will hand the leadership to you, Jayden,” Jason says. Jayda feels her heart sinking into her shoes, but she says nothing.

“Guys, I need your help,” Jason says.

“You know we will help you where we can, boss. What can we help you with?” Jack asks. Jayda is still quiet and does not speak much tonight.

“I am about to move to the apartment I bought. My problem is my father. I am worried about him being alone. You guys don’t know about a lady in her forties or maybe late thirties that will suit him?” Jason asks.

“My mother, but she got hurt badly by my father, and I also think she needs someone that will care about her,” Cathy says. Cathy, an excellent gamer, will love to have Jason as a brother. Jayda feels hope in her little heart again. She and Cathy are good friends, and she may still see Jason if his father and Cathy’s mother get married.

“How old is your mother?” Jason asks.

“She is forty-seven. My father is older than her but left her for a younger woman,” Cathy says. Her mother was thirty-eight when she gave birth to her. Her oldest brother is twenty-five, and her mother was only twenty-two when she had him. She gave up her career to have children, but Eva kept studying from home after having her children and becoming a full-time housewife.

“Perfect. I don’t think my father will like a young woman. My dad is forty-nine, and my mother also hurt him, so he is sceptical towards women, but we can give it a try. Can you send me a photo of your mother?” Jason asks. He has a plan. His birthday party will be soon, and as the trio, Tammy and their families are invited, he can invite Cathy and her mother without his father being suspicious of him trying to set him up with a woman.

“Okay, check your inbox. I sent the photo. It is only a few days old. My mom’s name is Eva, and she works at Aunt Jennie’s office,” Cathy says. She is hoping that her mom can find real love and happiness.

“Eva Morozov is her full name,” Jayden says. Jason looks at the stunning lady in the photo with her daughter, smiling. She looks like a real lady, and one can see the loneliness in her eyes. It reminds Jason of the loneliness in his father’s eyes earlier. He wonders if his father will be interested, as he never showed any interest in women after his mother died, but maybe his father will fall for her. Besides, his father will love to have a child he can pamper in the house again.

“So in a few days, it is my birthday. I will send you and your mother an invite to the party. Then you guys will have to help me get the two alone and talk. You will be there, and we will have to work together,” Jason says.

“Yes, boss, but we can not lock anyone in a room again. Our parents will kill us,” Jayden says, still remembering the last time they did that. Jason laughs.

“No, we will have to get them to sit next to each other at the table,” Jayda speaks for the first time.

“Jayda, you are a genius!” Jason says, and Jayda blushes when she hears the compliment from her crush. Jason knows the little girl has a crush on him, and he does not want to encourage it as he is way too old for her, and she is still just a child. He knows he will have to be cruel to save her from a childhood crush, so he invites a young model to join him at his birthday party.

It is the night of Jason’s party, and he can not wait to see how his father and Eva will react to one another. Eva is indeed a beautiful woman, and Jason keeps his eyes on her and little Cathy as they walk into the ballroom at Charlie’s Place his father has rented. His father is talking to some of his friends. He has not seen Eva yet, but many of his friend’s heads turn to the door as Eva and Cathy walk in with the Hudson family. Jennie looks stunning as always, and Dante holds her close to him. Jason smiles as he remembers the crush he had on Jennie. Luckily, he had outgrown it. Jason is a handsome young man, and the model clings to him as if she is afraid he will forget about her. It irritates Jason, but he has to endure it for Jayda’s sake. He looks at Jayda as she walks in, but her little face shows no emotion as she sees him with the model, and she even waves to him. Jason is stunned. Maybe the little girl does not have a crush on him as he thought.

Jayda had learned from her mother not to show her heartbreak in front of other people, or they will think of her as weak. She may only be twelve, but she can hide her emotions. Jayda’s little heart breaks as she sees the well-known model hanging on Jason’s arm. She looks at herself and realises she is only a little girl in Jason’s eyes, and she will have to accept it. Jason will always see her as a little girl, even when she grows up.

“Oh well, I will stay single for the rest of my life like Jayden. I will never feel like this again,” Jayda promises herself. No one will step on her heart again. Jayda is a bit dramatic as she is still a young girl and does not really know anything about love. It is only a crush, and she will grow out of it eventually. She grabs Cathy and Tammy, and the three of them go to play with the other children. She had already forgotten about her “heartbreak” in about ten minutes as she was having fun with the other girls at the party.

Jason’s eyes are still on his father and Eva as Eva walks into the room and takes a glass of champagne in her hand. She looks like a lady of a wealthy family, but even though she is in her forties, she looks younger, and many men stare at her openly. Everyone starts taking their places at the tables, and for the first time, Ryan looks up as a beautiful woman takes her place at the table next to him. He looks at the name placed on the plate and reads Eva Morozov. Ryan can not take his eyes off the elegant beauty, and for the first time in a long time, his heart beats faster when he looks at a woman. Finally, he gets up and pulls her chair out for her. Eva smiles at Ryan.

“Thank you,” Eva says, as no man has ever pulled a chair out for her. Vladim never treated Eva as a lady, and she knows he only married her for her family’s money.

“My pleasure, Mrs Morozov. Where is your husband?” Ryan can not help asking.

“I am divorced. Please call me Eva,” Eva says, and she does not understand why she will tell a stranger that.

“I am a widower. My name is Ryan,” Ryan says. They start talking and laughing, and soon, the other guests at the table can see that the two have clicked. Jason smiles at the trio and shows them a thumbs up. Their mission looks to be successful. When the dinner is over, the music starts playing, and the couples start dancing. Ryan asks Eva to dance, and when Jennie and Dante go home, Ryan says he will give Eva and Cathy a ride home as he does not want to let her go so fast. When Ryan drops Eva and Cathy at home, Cathy jumps out of the car and runs inside. She wants to leave the couple alone to get to know each other better, but Eva gets out and thanks Ryan for the ride home. Ryan is happy he could drop them off, so he knows where they live, and he got her phone number. Ryan feels like a teenager when he gets home, and Jason looks at him amused as his father runs up the stairs to his room. His father looks like he got a second chance in life.
