Hiding With Her Twin Babies -
Chapter 79
Jen and Logan decide to have a gathering with all their family and friends. It is their wedding anniversary. So they want all their friends and family to be there. They plan the party for the upcoming Saturday so all their grandchildren and friends that live overseas can attend. They have sent out all the invitations via e-mail. Logan looks at Jen, busy decorating the living room with vases full of flowers. She is still the love of his life. Logan looks at his little fighter with his heart in his eyes. He remembers how cold, scared and insecure she was when they first met. She did not trust people at all. He is glad he tricked her into becoming his fiance. Logan smiles as he thinks back to those years.
“I love you, angel,” Logan says suddenly behind Jen. Jen spins around and glares at him.
“You can be glad I love you so much, or I might have punched your nose for scaring me, Logan Casella!” Jen says, but she throws he arms around his neck and k****s him. Logan k****s his wife with a lot of passion.
“Old people should not make out in the middle of the day,” Jayda says as she walks in on her grandparents. She is sixteen and becoming more beautiful by the day.
“Who are your “old people”? We are still young at heart,” Jen says with a smile. She loves her grandchildren.
“I am teasing, grandma. You and granddad have the most beautiful love, just like mom and dad. I want that kind of love one day,” Jayda says as she grabs an apple and eats it. She got her car licence a week ago with Jayden and Jack, and she wanted to come and see her grandparents. She knows she is not allowed to drive without a bodyguard, but Jayda does not care. She needed to get away from home, and she had nowhere else to go. On the internet news today, she saw that Jason is getting married soon to the actress Victoria Ward. Jayda knows how beautiful and popular Victoria is, and she knows even if she were older, Jason would still see her as a little girl. Her heart is broken, and although she will never admit it, she still has a crush on Jason. Cathy wanted her to come over, and she usually would love to visit Cathy, but today she made an excuse why she could not visit Cathy and drove to her grandparents’ house.
“Well, what brings you here? Where is your bodyguard?” Logan asks as he looks around and sees no guard.
“I missed the two of you, and I came to see if I can help grandma with something. But unfortunately, I forgot to bring my bodyguard,” Jayda says. She smiles, and Logan sighs. Jayda is too much like her grandmother.
“I got everything under control, princess,” Jen says. She can see her granddaughter hiding the sadness in her eyes. Jen knows why she saw the story about Jason Morgan and Victoria Ward on the internet.
“Well, then I will help you with the flowers, Grandma,” Jayda says as she is not in the mood to go home. Everyone knows how she feels about Jason. Jason is still playing their online game with them sometimes, but he is so busy that he often does not get time to do it. She misses Jason. Jayda will never admit that she still has feelings for Jason. She knows her mother and father are always worried about her not being herself. Jason still sees her as a little girl, and he always treats her like a little sister. Jayda, Jayden and Jack are clever children, and like Jason, they skipped a few classes. They will graduate at the end of the year, and Jayda plans to become a doctor like her grandmother. Jen is very proud of her. She helps her grandmother decorate the rest of the living room. She and her grandparents talk while she and Jen are busy.
“So you are going to study to become a doctor?” Logan asks.
“Yes, grandpa, but I am thinking of going to England and then Germany to study,” Jayda says.
“Does your parents know about your plans?” Jen asks. She knows Dante will not let his princess go overseas to study as he will not be able to keep an eye on her.
“Not yet that is why I am here. I want you two to talk to my parents. I know you can convince them to let me go,” Jayda says.
“Jayda, why do you want to go aboard to study. We have some of the best universities here in the states,” Logan asks.
“Logan, I think Jayda wants to go out in the world and explore it a little. I think it is a great idea,” Jen says. She knows Jayda wants to get as far away from the reason for her heartache as possible. She knows Jayda is fleeing her love for Jason. He is engaged, and she wants to get away and forget about her hopeless love for Jason Morgan.
“Great idea! Who will look after her? She can not go out into the big world by herself. She is only sixteen,” Logan says, sounding upset.
“When I was sixteen. I was on my own, looking after myself and a rock star. I had no one telling me what to do and to look after me. Jayda is a responsible young woman and can take care of herself. Besides, she can protect herself and has trained with Dante and you. She knows to handle a gun and do martial arts. Why are you so worried about her?” Jen asks.
“Well, she is our little princess, and it will break my heart if she goes away so far,” Logan says.
“Granddad, I love you as much as you love me, but this is something I want to do,” Jayda says. She wants to study and become a doctor. She wants to be independent and work until she can forget about the heartache of being in love with someone that sees her as a small child.
Meanwhile, in Jason’s office, Jason stares at the internet article. He knows he and Victoria Ward has been dating, but he never asked her to marry him. Unfortunately, she is not his type, and she has become a nuisance to him. She bought a ring that looks like an engagement ring and is wearing it everywhere. He knows Victoria is trying to push him into a corner and make him ask her to marry him. Unfortunately, Jason is not in love with Victoria. Yes, she was beautiful with her perfect face and body, but he did not touch her, and although she tried to get into his bed a few times now, Jason was not interested. Jason knows Victoria went to the bridal shop today, and she must have tipped off the paparazzi to follow her there so she could start rumours of an upcoming wedding. Jason is angry. He does not want to marry her, and he thinks it is time to break things off with Victoria. He knows it will not be easy as she is one of the models they use in their new game. He also does not want to feel like he is using her and wants to let her know that she has a snowball’s chance in hell to be with him or become his wife. Jason tried to call Victoria, but Victoria switched off her phone. He remembers her mentioning going on a film shoot in Africa for the next six months and that she would only be back when the shoot was over. Jason is a gentleman like his father and does not want to break off his relationship with Victoria over the phone. Jason sighs. He will have to wait until she is back. Cathy walks into his office, and he smiles as he sees his sister.
“What is this about you getting married to Victoria Ward? I don’t like her, and I know you are not in love with her,” Cathy says as soon as she walks in.
“I had nothing to do with it, little sister, and you know it. Victoria did it on purpose before flying to Africa for a film shoot. I think she is trying to keep other women away from me,” Jason answers.
“So you are going to study to become a doctor?” Logan asks.
“She is sly, and she knows you will not break up with her on the phone,” Cathy says. Cathy is younger than the trio, but she is not stupid.
“I know, but I will have to wait until she comes back to tell her I will not marry her and break up with her,” Jason says.
“She is indeed a sly fox. Poor Jayda,” Cathy says without thinking. Jason frowns.
“Why poor Jayda? What happened to Jayda?” Jason asks, and he feels his heart skipping a beat. He always saw Jayda as a little girl and loved her like a sister.
“Nothing. Jayda is going overseas to study. She has decided to go to England and then Germany if her parents allow her to go,” Cathy says. She looks at her brother’s face to see if he shows any emotions.
“She wants to go aboard to study? On her own? Isn’t it a bit dangerous for a girl to go aboard alone?” Jason asks. Jason does not like the idea of Jayda being alone aboard. He does not know why but he hates the idea.
“Yeah, well. I don’t know, maybe Jayda’s parents will allow it if one of her brothers goes with her,” Cathy says.
“Jayden does not want to go as he already got a place at Stanford University, he wants Jayda to go with him to Stanford, but she has set her mind on going to England. Maybe Jack will join her. Who knows?” Cathy says, and she smiles as she can see her brother does not look happy.
“Well, Standford is the best. She should go there with Jayden,” Jason says. He looks down at his computer. Why is he so upset about Jayda going to Engeland? She is just a little girl. He should not be so upset about all of this. He smiles at Cathy.
“Want to play my new game?” He asks. He needs to get his mind off everything happening in his life and concentrate on his job, where Jayda studies has nothing to do with him.
Jennie and Dante look at Jayda when she tells them she wants to go and study in England for a few years. She promises to call every day, and she has already applied to the University of Oxford. Logan and Jen sit next to Jayda as she explains everything to her parents. She wants to explore the world and see and do new things.
“No, I can not let you go alone, Jayda,” Dante says. He will be worried sick about her.
“I stayed, worked and studied in England. So why can’t Jayda?” Jennie asks.
“Because I say so,” Dante says. Jennie looks at him angrily.
“I also think it is a great idea,” Jen supports Jayda and Jennie. Dante looks at his little princess. He will miss her so much.
“Okay, but you call us every day, you come home over the holidays, and once you are done studying, you return to the states. Also, I will buy you an apartment in a safe complex, and you do not go out at night,” Dante says as he knows he will lose the fight against Jen, Jennie and Jayda.
“Thank you, mom and dad!” Jayda jumps up and hugs her dad and mom. Jayda knows she needs to get over Jason and the only way to do that is not to see him.
“Remember to come to our anniversary party tomorrow,” Jen says before she and Logan leaves. Jen knows she will miss her granddaughter, but it is good for the young girl’s heart to meet new people and maybe forget about Jason and fall in love with someone else. By the looks of it, Jason is getting married soon, and she wants to spare her granddaughter the pain of seeing that.
