Hiding With Her Twin Babies -
Chapter 78
It is not only Vladim that is not happy about the wedding. Crystal’s parents also read the news on the internet. In addition, Olivia and Benjamin Hill also read the report. Crystal is furious. She still remembers the scandal around Crystal’s death. Ryan did not show up for the funeral, and the footage of Crystal and Liam having a fun day at the hotel before the accident spread like wildfire all over the internet and tabloids. She remembers how people said they did not blame Ryan for not going to the funeral and not taking his son to Crystal’s funeral. Now he has married again, and Jason is twenty-one. Olivia and Benjamin never visited Ryan or Jason as they were angry with Ryan. Now that Jason is twenty-one and has a business, his grandparents want to go and see him. They know Ryan built the house he and Jason always stayed in when Ryan and Crystal got married. So to them, the house belongs to Crystal as Ryan built it for her. It is not their daughter’s fault Ryan was always working and not giving her enough attention! They will talk with Jason. He is their grandson, and they bet he hates his new stepmother. They will not allow the woman Ryan married to take their daughter’s house! She and her daughter have no right to it! And at least half of the business Ryan owns must go to Crystal’s family as she was his wife!
The Hills did not do anything about this for years as Ryan never married again, and they thought when Jason took over the business, they would go to him to give them and their other children Crystal’s half of the company and the house where Ryan had been staying. What if Ryan gives the company to his new stepdaughter or even half of it? They will have no chance to get their hands on some of Ryan’s money. He did pay for Crystal’s funeral but never showed up. It was a slap in the face of the Hill family.
“I think it is time we visit our grandson! He owns us for not showing up at his mother’s funeral, and it is time to let that new woman and her daughter know they will not touch Crystal’s stuff!” Olivia says to Benjamin, still looking furiously at the happy couple. Benjamin is still angry about the Hill family business Ryan destroyed years ago after he and Olivia went to press to tell their side of the story. Benjamin still remembered how he and Olivia told the tabloids and anyone who wanted to listen that Ryan never loved their daughter, and that is why she had an affair. They said he did not even show up at the funeral because he was with a mistress and did not care about the death of his wife. Ryan never said anything to the press about their allegations and never slandered their daughter as they hoped he would do. Instead, Ryan went after the family business, and within a few months, they were bankrupt. Ryan owns them! He and his sons had to go and work for other companies, which made Benjamin bitter.
“You are right. Ryan owns us! He and that son of his!” Benjamin says. Although Jason was just a young boy, they still blamed him for not showing up at his mother’s funeral.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s go and see Jason. He is still young and an easy target! His daddy is on honeymoon, leaving him without his father’s protection,” Olivia says. So the two get in their old car and drive to Jason’s company. They think Ryan helped Jason start up his company, and they want their fair share.
In his office, Jason looks at Cathy, whom he went to pick up after school. He wants to spend the day with his new sister and tells Jennie that he will get Cathy today after school to bond a little. Jennie was happy that Jason accepted Cathy and that Cathy would feel like she had a brother that cared about her. Cathy is eating a slice of the pizza Jason ordered.
“Pizza is my favourite food,” Cathy says as she swallows the last bite.
“Mine too. Have another slice,” Jason says.
“I am full. I will explode if I eat one more slice,” Cathy says. She is happy that Jason wants to spend time with her. She remembers how her other brothers treated her. They ordered her around all day and called her Catherine the great sarcastically. She got blamed for everything that went wrong in the house. Now she has a great brother! He buys her dolls, pizza and sweets.
“What do you want to do today?” Jason asks.
“I want to see how you guys test your games,” Cathy says excitedly.
“Let’s go to the room where they test it, and I will show you. You can even play a few of the games we are testing now,” Jason says.
“You are the best big brother ever!” Cathy says and hugs Jason. Jason smiles and picks her up. Jason is a tall, handsome young man, and many young women want his attention. Unfortunately, the model he took to his party the other night shows up at his office and pesters him on his phone. Jason blocked her number, so she could not contact him anymore and told his security not to let her into his office. Luckily, she does not know where he is staying. Jason’s phone rings, and he answers it.
“Mr Morgan, here are two people who want to see you. They say they are your grandparents,” The receptionist says.
“My grandparents? I thought they went home after the wedding,” Jason says. His father’s parents have stayed in Hawaii since they retired. So what are they doing here?
“Send them up to my office,” Jason says, still frowning. He hoped nothing happened to his dad and Eva.
“Cat, we will go and play games a little bit later. Grandma and Grandpa are here to see us,” Jason says. He sees Cathy’s face lit up. She and his grandparents loved each other.
“Yeah! But I thought they went back to Hawaii,” Cathy says.
“I thought so, too,” Jason says as he pushes open his office door. He frowns as he sees the two people in his office.
“I think these people played a joke on your receptionist. They are not grandma and grandpa,” Cathy says as she looks at the two older people sitting in front of her and Jason.
“We are not your grandparents, but we are Jason’s grandparents. Jason, long time since we last saw you. If I remember correctly, it was before your mother’s funeral,” Olivia says. She sounds bitter and looks like she is blaming Jason for something.
“Thank goodness this woman is not my grandma. She looks like the old witch in my storybook, poor you, Jason,” Cathy says.
“Who are you to talk to me like that! You little brat! You should teach your new sister some manners, Jason Morgan!” Olivia shouts.
“First of all, I do not know you, and you have no right to shout at my sister. Secondly, if you are Crystal’s mother and father, I will have to ask you to leave my office,” Jason says. He looks like Ryan and Benjamin, and Olivia thought he would be a pushover.
“So you call her Crystal and not mother? She was your mother, Jason. She loved you!” Benjamin says.
“Bullshit! She never loved me! She was never at home, and the nanny was more of a mother to me than Crystal ever was,” Jason says. He does not know what these two people want from him, but he bets it is money.
“Well, you and your father owe us! If your father looked better after your mother, she would not be dead today! It is his fault she was with Liam in the car accident,” Olivia says.
“Really? She and Liam were drunk, which is why they had the accident. My father worked hard to give Crytal the life she wanted. She was the one who cheated, and then the two of you tried to blame it all on my father! Get out of my office before I call my security to remove you,” Jason says.
“Oh, so you think you can get rid of us like that? Would you rather hang out with this little bastard than with us? She is not your real sister, but you chose her before your real family,” Olivia says. Jason is now angry as he looks at Cathy’s pale little face. He knows her father and brothers used to call her a bastard and all kinds of names. It makes Jason angry. Jason presses the red button on his phone. His security walks in after five seconds.
“You called us, sir?” The big man asks.
“Yes, make these people kneel and make them apologise to my little sister for calling her a bastard,” Jason says.
“What do you want to do today?” Jason asks.
“I want to see how you guys test your games,” Cathy says excitedly.
“What, I will not kneel in front of a little brat! She does not know her place. Besides, we are your grandparents,” Olivia says.
“No, you are not! You are nothing to me, and you will never contact my family after I am done with you,” Jason says. The security guards are big, and they lift Olivia and Benjamin out of the chairs they were sitting in. The next moment, Olivia is on their knees as the bodyguards press them down by their shoulders to make them kneel.
“Beg my sister to forgive you for your harsh words,” Jason says. Olivia and Benjamin stay quiet and look with hate in their ice at Jason and Cathy. Cathy likes the whole scene. It is like something out of a movie. Jason nods his head, and his security chief walks forward and slaps Benjamin and Olivia. He gives them an extra hard slap as they love little Cathy. Olivia feels dizzy after the slap, and Benjamin starts apologising. Olivia follows his example.
“Throw them in the streets and make sure they never bother my family again,” Jason says. As they walk out, Jason knows he will never have peace. Instead, they will find ways to give his family hell. He picks up the phone. Jason has known Dante’s secret for a long time.
“Dante, it is Jason,” Jason says as soon as Dante answers.
“Hi Jason, is Cathy okay?” Dante asks he knows Cathy is with Jason today.
“Yes, she is fine. I need a favour from you, though. I will pay you,” Jason says.
“No need. Let’s talk in my office in half an hour,” Dante says. He knows everything about Jason and even the fact that Jason knows his secret. Dante hangs up as they can not talk that kind of business on the phone. Jason smiles at Cathy and picks her up. He takes her with him to meet Dante. An hour later, he and Cathy return to the office and go to play games.
Olivia and Benjamin, with their useless sons, are sitting around the table that night talking about Jason and how he humiliated them.
“Don’t worry, mom, dad, we will take care of him! We will break every bone in his body and make his little sister watch,” Dan, the oldest, says. As they are still sitting in their dining room talking. A big mam, followed by many men dressed in black, walks into their home.
“Who are you? What are you doing in our house?” Benjamin asks.
“You can call me Don Casella,” Dante says.
“Don Casella! The Godfather!” Dan shouts out and gets on his knees.
“You upset a friend of mine and a little girl we all care about,” Dante says.
“You are talking about Jason and his little stepsister?” Olivia asks.
“We are sorry, Don. We will leave them alone in the future,” Dan says.
“Can we hire you to take out Ryan and Jason for us?” Benjamin thinks of a plan. Dante kicks him in the mouth, where he is also kneeling with his sons in front of the Godfather.
“You think I am a hitman for hire? How f*****g stupid are you? I don’t kill for money! I kill to avenge,” Dante says. He nods at his men, and his men inject the family with a lethal dosage of h****n. Everyone knows that drugs are a problem in this part of town. They also plan some more drugs all over the house.
“Spare us, please,” Olivia begs, but the drugs take over, and she falls to the ground.
“I was going to spare them, but they insulted me and tried to take out Ryan and Jason. They would never have stopped and may even have rented an assassin. I could not take that chance,” Dante thinks to himself as he and his men walk to where their cars were. No one even saw them coming or going. And as they had gloves on, they left no evidence. However, the following day, a neighbour discovers them when she wants to go and borrow some sugar. The neighbours knew that times were hard and that drugs were expensive. They all think the family owed some drug lord money and decided to take their own lives. It is better than landing in the hands of drug lords. It looks like the drug lord they pissed off has already visited them as the mother and father had some ugly bruises on their faces.
