Chapter 69: The abyss

Ethan's POV

I woke up in silence. The darkness of inhalation and exhalation is devoid of all receptive elements. Panic washed over me as I struggled to understand what had happened. "Bianca?" I screamed, a voice above an almost whisper, swallowed up by the shadow. nothing.

Only my own soft voice jumped back. I tried to keep my heart going, but it felt as heavy as the darkness pressing against me. I remembered the last moment-the shadow fell to the ground, the flash of light reached out and touched it. Had I lost him?

"Bianca! I screamed again, frustration choking in my throat. I was forced to focus on it, taking on the rest of our relationship. "I won't give up!" I took a deep breath and summoned my magic, leaving a pulse inside me like a heartbeat. Suddenly, a soft light flashed in the distance.

I stumbled upon it, my heart pounding in anticipation. "Bianca!" he said. he said, smirking. I called, my voice louder now. "Mereba!" he said, smirking. As I got closer, the light expanded, illuminating the darkness around me. The shadows retreated, and I could feel their whispers fading. Derek's voice was darkly lustful, filled with malice.

"You're nothing without a shadow!" I gritted my teeth, forcing myself into the approaching darkness. "I won't let you win!" I screamed as I felt a light go on inside me.

"Bianca needs me, and I need her!" Suddenly the ground shook violently, and I felt the darkness wrap around my mind, trying to discourage me. Memories of our struggle flooded my mind every time we fought side by side, every laugh we shared under the stars.

That memory set me on fire. With a loud cry, I threw my hand forward, releasing a wave of light that cut through the shadows like an arrow.

The darkness receded and the weight on my chest lightened. "together!" I screamed, hoping that somehow Bianca could hear me. Bianca's POV

I was trapped in a swirling storm of shadows, my magic flickering like a candle in the wind. The darkness pressed against me, and whispering lies fed my fear. "You will never escape,"

a voice buzzing in my mind taunted. But inside, there was still a glimmer of hope. "Ethan!" he said. he said, smirking. I shouted, summoning the last remnants of my army.

"I won't give up!" I can feel the heat of our relationship pulsing somewhere far away, a beacon guiding me through the chaos. "Bianca!" he said. he said, smirking. I heard her call, her voice ringing like a lifeline.

Hope burned inside me, setting my chest on fire. "Ethan!" he said. he said, smirking. I cried again, focusing all my energy on that connection. As the light came on, I could feel the shadows creeping into my mind and wrapping themselves tightly around each other.

"You're slow!" he said. he said, smirking. I was wrapped like a sore blanket and relaxed. "You can't escape!" "No!" I screamed, defiance flooding through my veins. "It's not just me!" he said. As I drew the bright light within me, I pushed the darkness and forced it back.

"We're so strong together!" The shadows stopped, and I was momentarily shocked at my defiance. I could feel the magic bubbling inside me, shining brighter with each heartbeat.

"Ethan!" he said. he said, smirking. I called back, pouring everything I had into that intimate relationship. Suddenly I felt a pull-a warm wave that felt so familiar. "I can feel you!". I gasped, pushing back against the shadow with all my might. The darkness trembled, and the whispers disappeared as my light intensified.

But then, Derek's laughter pierced the air, dark and mischievous. "Do you think you can beat me?" He laughed.

"You're inciting your own destruction!" The shadows floated forward, and I crept back. "No!"

I focused on the light and cried, trying to push back against the darkness that threatened to engulf me. "Ethan, please! We can't let him win!" Ethan's POV

I felt Bianca's presence intense, the light around me vibrating her heartbeat. "I'm here!" I screamed, forcing my way through the darkness.

But as soon as I reached the edge of the light, the land beneath me changed dramatically. "Bianca!".

I screamed, fear pulling at my chest and the shadow jumped again. I could feel the warmth of his magic fading and the relationship faltering.

I had to go to him! I threw myself towards the light with the last of my strength, pouring every ounce of my magic into the bright light that parted the shadows and shouted "Come!" I roared as the light burst.

The darkness trembled, its grip loosened as the light washed over me. "No!" Derek's voice was hoarse, full of anger. "You won't take what I have!" At that moment, the shadow closed again, blocking the light and creating a barrier. "We're not yours!" he said.

I screamed down the block, directing my anger toward the barrier. "We're each other!" But as I felt the barrier begin to crack, the ground cracked open beneath me, and a deep chasm opened wide.

"Ethan!" I heard Bianca scream, fear filling her voice. I could see him struggling against the shadows, his light shining.

Bianca!" I cried as I reached for everything in my hands. I could feel the bubbling abyss beneath me, threatening to tear us apart.

"I won't let you go!" As he battled the pull of darkness, he saw a flash of light in the distance. "wait!" I screamed, wanting my magic to catch up.

"We can do this! Just believe it!" But as soon as our fingers brushed it back, dark energy erupted from the sword, sending ripples of shock through the room. "You think you can ignore me?" Derek roared, anger filling his voice. "I'm done with you two!"

The darkness continued pouring in front of us, enveloping us like a villain. The light flickered as the shadow closed in, the connection cut off I felt "NO!". shout. I screamed, but it was too late.

The abyss swallowed us all, and the last vestiges of our relationship faded into darkness. As everything went dark, a feeling of hopelessness washed over me.
