His destined mate -
Chapter 72
Bianca's POV
A blinding flash of light enveloped us and I froze, a glowing bomb that looked like the very essence of magic. Time seemed to dilate, and for a moment, I felt my weight as if the universe had stopped for a moment. The darkness shakes us, the shadows receding as the light creeps ahead. "Ethan!" I cried, and I tried to see how bright it was. I could feel his presence, hearts pounding in the wide space, but the distance between us seemed inaccessible. As the light began to fade, I saw Derek, his face twisted in anger and disbelief. "Do you think this will save your life?" he screamed, a venomous voice. "You're nothing but a shadow!" But I refused to be afraid.
"Ethan and I are strong together!" I screamed back, summoning every ounce of magic in me. The connection we shared beat like a heartbeat, fueling my determination. The light around me intensified, bathing the void with warmth. I could feel it explode around me, forming a barrier to the approaching darkness.
"I won't let you win!" I declared that I am a loud and strong voice. With great patience, I directed the light towards the shadows, releasing a wave of energy that rolled through the darkness. Derek was hit, and he was forced to turn back in shock. The shadows twisted, but my magic continued unabated.
Ethan's POV.
The world around me was a cacophony of light and darkness, the wind howling. I was pulled in several directions, but in the midst of the chaos, I focused on Bianca's voice, as it reverberated in my soul "Bianca!" I'm trying to push through the weight of the shadows pressing against me.
I saw his silhouette illuminated by the bright light on his face. He was fighting everyone, and I couldn't pick him out.
"together!" I roared, pouring my magic into the light, and felt my call answer. The ground hardened beneath me, and I pushed forward, enveloped in darkness. But as soon as I reached him, the shadow closed even tighter, forming a barrier between us.
"No!" I cried, anger and frustration building up my magic. Summoning all the strength I had left, I pushed against the wall of darkness that threatened to separate us.
"Ethan!" Bianca's voice was full of urgency, but the shadows seemed to vibrate maliciously, spurred on by Derek's laughter rumbling in the open "You're late!" He scoffed, the darkness thickening as he approached. "No you can't escape your fate!"
By Bianca's POV
I could feel Derek's dark energy pushing us towards the light, an evil force trying to stop us from touching each other. "Ethan, we need to get our magic together!" I screamed as frustration hit my throat. "I'm right here!"
He replied, determination shining in his eyes. The distance looked like a dead end, but our connection was still alive, flickering like a spark against the impending darkness.
"together!" I searched, putting all my strength into a beam of light that was blasting towards him. I watched in amazement as magic mingled, weaving the brilliant curtain of light between us.
But the shadow countered with a fierce attack, and Derek's voice hissed angrily. "You can't beat me! I'll eat anything and wear what you like!"
As the shadows wrapped around us, I pushed forward, our magic clashing with Derek's dark energy. The shock sent shock waves through the void, and I felt the ground
Ethan's POV
The energy between us felt like electricity, a lifeline in the overwhelming darkness. "I won't let him take you!" I screamed as I felt the shadow push against us, threatening to tear our lines. Bianca's magic clung to me and formed a protective barrier pushing me into the darkness. "We're so strong together!" He hissed with a growl, his voice crackling with confidence.
But Derek wasn't done. He raised his hand, summoning a stream of shadows that flowed towards us like rolling waves. "You're too weak! You certainly can't fight!"
"No!" I roared, channeling all my magic into the barrier. The shadows crashed beside us, a pulse of light and darkness. I could feel the energy wavering, but I refused to give in. Amidst the chaos, I saw the determination reflected in Bianca's eyes, a beacon of hope
Bianca's POV
The darkness pressed around us, but I felt our bond was strong, fueled by our unwavering determination. "Ethan, we can't let him tear us apart!" I screamed, focusing all my energy on our relationship.
I felt the warmth of his magic meld with mine, a powerful force pushing back against the shadows. "We're a team!" he said.
I announced it, pouring my heart into the light. It flowed forward, illuminating the void and sweeping away the darkness. But just when we thought we had the upper hand, Derek broke through our barrier and unleashed a wave of dark energy, sending us scattered.
I felt the flames of magic, the connection between us melting like a dying star. "Bianca!" Ethan's voice shouted, full of panic and urgency.
He found himself chasing his shadow, his magic weakening as the darkness threatened to drag him down. "No!" I screamed, my heart pounding as I fought the approaching shadows. I summoned every ounce of energy, focusing on the bond we shared. "I won't let you go!"
Ethan's POV
The shadows closed and their whispers grew louder and more demanding. "Without him, you're nothing," they mock. But inside I felt Bianca's presence, a light that refused to fade. "Bianca!"
I shouted, focusing on him again. The darkness flowed, enveloping me like a terrible blanket, but I pushed on and channeled my magic towards the bright light beyond. I could feel his strength and determination in me.
"together!" I roared, forcing my way through the shadows. I felt a surge of magic, a surge of energy that propelled me forward. As soon as I reached him, a searing pain shot through my side. Startled, I looked down to see a black blister ripping through my flesh.
"No!" I gasped, and the shadow pulled me back, trying to cut off our connection. "Ethan!"
Bianca screamed, her eyes widening in terror. As we struggled with dark energy, the last vestiges of our magic evaporated, and I felt the bond between us weaken. The shadows wrapped around me, pulling me deeper into the abyss. "I won't let you go!" He screamed, but darkness poured in again, drowning out his cries as I disappeared into nothingness.
