Chapter 50

Bethany

Last night was incredible, the party was so much fun and exactly what we needed! It turned into a late party and the last of us didn’t make it to bed until gone 2 this morning but I don’t care if I’m tired today, it was exactly what I needed and seeing Jack ask Ashley to marry him really was one of the best moments I’ve had since arriving here!

“Good morning petal!” I cooe out to Bella as I step in the kitchen, she’s sitting on Calvin’s h*p babbling away and the poor guy looks f****d.

“You ok Cal?” He gives me a tired smile that tells me he could sleep for a month.

“Yeah, I’m ok sweetheart just tired, Brooke was up with sickness in the night and then this one decided that wake-up time was at 5.30 this morning so pretty tired!”

“Ok well, how about I take little miss petal down to breakfast with me and you head back to bed for a while and don’t try to argue with me either, Liam and Jack can cover you for a few hours, the break will do you good!”

“I can’t sweetheart I have so mu-“

“Don’t argue with me, it’s done!” He gives me a gentle smile before placing a k**s on mine and Bella’s foreheads and heading back to his bedroom. I make quick work of getting her ready and we head for the kitchen to fill out bellies.

The kitchen is full when we get there as all the visitors have joined us as well. Ashley and Jack are beaming and I notice a few of the visitors are looking the same, I wonder if anyone found their mates last night, I know our warrior Ryder did but that’s all.

“Good morning sweetheart!” I look up to see Liam smiling my way, it’s unfair how hot he looks after barely any sleep.

“Good morning fluffy bum!” I make my way over to the table and thank goddess they kept a chair for me. There’s no room for Bella’s highchair today so I take a seat and place her on my lap.

“I will still dunk you in that lake little wolf!” He tries to look serious but has a smirk on his face in seconds.

Ashley asks where Cal and Brooke are so I quickly fill them in before standing to get mine and Bella’s breakfast but Liam stops me and goes to get it for us, breakfast was personally delivered to me by Liam, nice! Once he returns Ashley scoops Bella out of my lap and Jack helps her with her food while Liam pouts because he wanted to feed her, the amount of love everyone here has for Bella never fails to amaze me, she is one lucky girl and she deserves it!

As I’m finishing up my breakfast Calvin and Brooke walk into the kitchen, can’t that guy ever take a break? I give him a stern look and he lets out a chuckle. “I know I know sweetheart! I did try to get back to sleep but I couldn’t and then Brooke was up feeling Ill so we decided to get up!”

“Fine! But Bella can sleep in with me tonight so you guys can rest, ok?” They both nod with no arguments at all and that tells me they need it!

“Why were you up with Bella?” Liam sounds concerned and it makes me swoon inside stupid teenage hormones.

“Nothing’s wrong, she’s just not sleeping very well at the moment, she would much rather play!” Brooke answers in her tired tone but you can see the love in her eyes for Bella and I know she wouldn’t change a thing.

“Kids!” Cal and Liam’s parents all say at the same time and we all burst out laughing.

“Well in that case we all need to pull up our pants and share the load, she can sleep with us anytime, we’re more than happy to have her!” Ashley shouts out with Jack quickly agreeing.

“Yes, me too Peppa pig and chocolate buttons, we’ll have a ball!” Liam laughs out, even both parents offer their help, bless them.

“So were any mates found last night?” Mary asks, finally someone asked, I’ve been dying to know.

“Yes, 4 of our warriors and 2 of our she-wolves!” Cal answers smiling.

“2 of my warriors, 3 of my she-wolves also!” Alpha Romero answers.

“2 of my warriors and 3 of my she-wolves!” Alpha Tito answers looking sad for a moment before he quickly masks it, looks like he didn’t meet his mate, poor guy!

“We can meet in my office after breakfast to discuss the arrangements?” Cal asks both Alpha’s, they both happily agree before starting up a conversation about some Alpha business before we all finish up and start leaving the kitchen.

As we are getting to the kitchen door a loud growl sounds out making everyone’s heads turn including mine, I can see Alpha Tito standing still his breathing harsh but he has the look of love in his eyes, I look around but I can’t see what’s wrong…

Before I have time to look around again, he takes quick steps towards us and stops in front of one of the Omega’s Olivia who is cleaning one of the tables, she’s staring at him but soon starts lightly shaking. He stands in front of her but she has her head down looking at the floor, he hocks his finger under her chin and lifts it up until she has no choice but to look in his eyes.

“MATE, MINE!” They both speak at the same time but Olivia soon looks sad and a single tear runs down her cheek. Alpha Tito wipes it away with his finger, looking at her with confusion that I know we are all feeling.

“Why are you crying, kitten?” His voice is so soft and gentle that he sounds like a kitten himself, she shakes her head softly but doesn’t speak but he waits patiently until finally, she speaks up.

“It’s…just..well all I’ve ever wanted is to find my mate, but I understand why you have to reject me, I’m just an Omega and in no way a Luna!” Her voice is soft and unsure and it tugs at my heart.

“I don’t care what you are kitten, you are my mate, I have waited a very long time for you and I’m not letting you go ever ok?”

They’re both beaming by the time he finishes and so is everyone else in the room, he takes her hand and it’s clear to see they belong together.

“Alpha’s let’s push the meeting back by 30 minutes, allow Alpha Tito and Oliva to have some time to talk!” Cal sounds out and after agreeing nods all around Alpha Tito and Oliva leave the kitchen hand in hand beaming.

Beta Liam

After working out plans for all the new members we have 4 new she-wolves joining our pack and 3 she-wolves leaving including the future Luna Olivia, she is a lovely girl and I’m incredibly happy for her and Alpha Tito.

It’s 1 pm and the whole pack is out on the training grounds including both Alpha Tito and Alpha Romero and their pack members, it’s time to settle some old wounds, namely Marcus and Sarah.

Both Marcus and Sarah have been brought to the grounds and are cuffed with sliver to both their hands and feet with 4 warriors guarding them. Calvin steps forwards hushing down the crowd in his Alpha tone, moving to stand close to Sarah and Marcus.

“Good afternoon, everyone, thank you for joining me!” Everyone bows their head in respect as they should.

“I know by now most of you are aware of the situation concerning Alpha Marcus and Sarah, I’ve heard the rumours, and this morning me and Beta Liam informed both Alpha Romero and Alpha Tito of the situation and they have agreed to bear witness to actions that will be taken today!”

He then goes on to explain a shortened version of everything that has happened including the situation with Jacoby and Beta John causing an explosion of growls and snarls to leave pack members mouths.

“First of all, I would like to deal with Beta John and Jacoby, can both of you please step forward?” They both appear from the crowd looking nervous, Marcus snarls at them both earning himself a punch in the ribs from one of the warriors holding him.

“Alpha Marcus, from this moment forward you are stripped of your Alpha title, you no longer rule over the moonshine pack!” Marcus starts snarling and cursing out before receiving a harder punch leaving him winded.

“Beta John, I have looked into you since you have been here and I have also spoken to members of the moonshine pack in secret and I believe you are a good man and the right man to run the moonshine pack!” Beta John looks ready to faint and I have to bite back a laugh.

“Beta John, I would like to formally offer you the position of Alpha to the moonshine pack, I understand if you find it scary but I will help you to learn and we could possibly agree on an alliance also!”

“I would be honoured to be the Alpha to the moonshine pack, thankyou Alpha Calvin, thank you for your faith in me!” He just about manages to get his words out and you can clearly see this means the world to him, 10 minutes ago he was facing the possibility of being a Rogue again and now he’s an Alpha.

“You deserve this Alpha John, now before we move on to Jacoby I have to ask if anyone here would like to fight our new Alpha, John, for his title?” The place turns to silence.

“I do Alpha Calvin; I want to challenge him for the Alpha title.” Holy f**k! Ryder steps out from the crowd and starts walking towards John and everyone looks as shocked as me including Calvin,

“Are you sure Ryder, an Alpha challenge is to the death and you’ve just found your mate!”

“I know but I want that Alpha title, I want more from life!” His mate Ariel runs to him begging him to reconsider but he doesn’t seem to hear her, barely looking at her. f**k I’ve always liked Ryder but right now I’m seeing a whole new different side to him and I don’t like it!

“I accept the challenge and I hope that for your sake Ryder you win because otherwise, you will destroy your mate!” Ryder shrugs and moves until he’s stood in front of John with Calvin soon joining them.

“Ok, Alpha John you have been challenged for the title of Alpha to the moonshine pack, this is a fight to the death, human form only if one of you shifts the fight will be stopped that person will be killed for breaking the rules and the other will take the title, do you both understand?” They both nod and get into a fighting stance as Calvin backs away to watch.

Ryder doesn’t hang around, he dives straight for John aiming for his throat, John must have known he would do it as he shifts his body to the side causing Ryder to swipe his shoulder and almost fall over, Ryder straightens back out and lunges at John again throwing a punch at his ribs then face, John doesn’t even flinch, he throws a punch back at Ryder causing a crunching noise to echo across the grounds followed by a kick to the ribs.

Ryder lands on the floor hard swiping out his foot sending Join flying to the ground. John is quick to recover and delivers another hard blow to Ryder’s face, within seconds they have formed into a ball, punches and kicks sound out along with snarls and growls, then I hear it and so does everyone else, the unmissable sound of a neck-breaking.

It’s an unmistakable sound and it’s clear to everyone that one of them has just died, there’s silence for a few minutes before the winner slowly drags himself to his feet, his back facing me, he’s panting and struggling to catch his breath and then he turns around and I see the winner, the new Alpha of the moonshine pack and I’m shocked and I realise I wasn’t expecting him to win…
