Chapter 636: If You Have Good Luck, You'll Live; If Not, You'll Wait for Death

"Just came in," Albi responded.

Zane put his phone aside and looked at Albi, asking, "So, any news?"

Albi handed over the information he had obtained through Black Market channels. "This is what I found out. Mr. Hughes isn't doing too well; he's currently in Manches City No. 3 Hospital." Zane took the documents from Albi and quickly scanned them.

He hadn't expected Myles to have such a hand in this.

Despite searching for days, Haider's people couldn't find anything about Mr. Hughes being in Manches City.

It seemed that the most dangerous place was also the safest place - this method was indeed practical.

"Anything else on today's agenda?" Zane asked softly after reading through everything.

Albi shook his head. "You don't have anything planned for now, but you'll be meeting with the Ellis family later this afternoon." "Has the land price been set for West City?"

"Yes," Albi replied. "But it seems like the Ellis family might not be able to afford it and may want to partner up with us instead."

"We'll discuss it when we meet them later," Zane said as he stood up and headed towards the door before remembering something else. "Send some more things over to Mrs. Lawrence's place this afternoon - as much as possible."

Albi glanced at Zane before asking him whether they should send bags or clothes over there?

Zane thought for a few seconds before replying: "Send everything we can."

"Okay," said Alibi nodding her head confidently. "What about flowers? Should I order some?"

"Yes," replied Zane firmly without hesitation.

"Alright then," said Alibi smilingly, "I'll take care of that."

As Zane walked out of his office building, he remembered Yanis mentioning something about finding Myles last night but not saying anything further about it since she knew how much Bonnie meant to him. Now that they had found Myles though, Zan didn't plan on telling Yanis just yet because he knew how much Myles cared for Bonnie and wouldn't want her upset by any means.

Therefore, Zan decided that visiting Myles first would be best so that once all facts were known then they could decide what actions needed taking next.

No 3 Hospital was located on outskirts of Manches city but its medical facilities were no less than those offered by No 1 Hospital due to both hospitals having same owner behind scenes. Therefore, the medical equipment and everything else were consistent. It took about forty minutes by car from the Lawrence Group to No. 3 Hospital. When Zane arrived at No. 3 Hospital, it was close to noon. "Find a place to grab something to eat and I'll call you when I'm done," Zane whispered to Albi as soon as they parked at the hospital.

Albi nodded, "Okay, I'll be around here."

Zane grunted and turned directly into the hospital building.

Myles' ward was on the eighth floor.

When Zane found Myles' ward and walked in, Myles was eating his meal while grumbling. Although there was a table full of food in front of him, they were all bland dishes with small portions.

As Myles ate and complained under his breath, he heard some noise outside his door. He looked up towards the entrance and saw that it was Zane who had come in; he accidentally dropped a piece of vegetable back onto his plate.

"What's so miserable?" Zane didn't think much of it as he walked straight in after taking off his shoes outside.

As soon as Zane sat down on the chair next to Myles' bed, Myles seemed like he just snapped out of it; frowning at him while asking: "What are you doing here?"

Zane gave him a glance before replying: "What are YOU doing here?"

Myles asked again: "... wait... did you come alone?"

Zane looked over at the table in front of him before saying indifferently: "You can only eat this? What's wrong with them?"

Myles held back an urge to curse before asking again: "I'm asking if you came alone or not!"

Zane replied nonchalantly with an 'uh-huh': "Just came from Bonnie's place."

Myles stared silently at him for a moment before speaking up again: "... and did Yanis come with you too last night?"

Upon hearing those words from Myle's mouth made even his brow furrow slightly but still kept quiet about it for now.

Without any urgency or haste whatsoever, Zan continued talking casually:"Yanis bought me these clothes yesterday evening after we slept together."

Unable to hold himself back anymore, Myle finally spoke up:"So your purpose for coming here is just flaunting your relationship being good-as-new with Yanis, right?" Ignoring what Myle said, Zan continued speaking instead:"Bonnie drank quite heavily last night."

Although bland-tasting food wasn't exactly appetizing, it still beat having conversations with someone like Zan. Myle picked up chopsticks once more, and started eating quietly without another word spoken between them afterwards."I didn't expect you to do something like this. Since you've made the decision, why hide here? You should know Bonnie's personality. As long as you break up with her face-to-face, she will definitely keep her distance from you and won't bother you anymore. She might not even ask for a reason."

Myles stopped chewing his food when he heard Zane speak again. "But why did you use such a childish way? It shows that deep down, you're also afraid that Bonnie will turn around and leave without looking back, right?"

Zane's words left Myles speechless and even ruined his appetite.

He put down his chopsticks and tidied up the food casually. "I didn't realize how annoying you are."

Zane glanced at him indifferently. "Is that it then?"

Myles frowned slightly. "Do you have cigarettes?"

"Can we smoke in the hospital room?" Zane asked.

Myles got out of bed after putting on some clothes first. "Let's go outside."

Zane followed Myles downstairs and wandered around the hospital before finally sitting in a small pavilion behind it.

"Where are the cigarettes?" Myles asked.

"I don't have any on me, but they're in my car," Zane replied with a shrug.

After hearing this, Myles glared at him before saying: "You go get them."

"Do you really want to smoke that badly?"

"If I have to wait for too long here then yes," said Myles as he stood up to leave.

Zane stopped him by grabbing his arm: "I'll have Albi bring them over instead."

Upon hearing this suggestion from Zane, Myles turned towards him: "Didn't come alone?"

"I came with Albi; I had other things to do later today so I thought I'd stop by and see how things were going with your health," said Zane while texting Albi about bringing over some cigarettes for them both.

After sending off the message request for cigarettes delivery from Albi, Zaneturned back towards Mylse asking: "Is your condition serious?"

"It's kind of serious; if my luck holds out then I'll live but otherwise... well let's just say medication is going to be part of my life forever now," replied Mylse solemnly.

Zanefrowned slightly upon hearing this news from Mylse :"Even your brother doesn't know about it?"

"When it happened, I was so scared of dying that my mind went blank, and since then, I haven't told anyone else either." explained Mylse leaning against one of pillars nearby.

At this point, Mylse looked at Zanewith curiosity:"By the way, Zanecouldyou tell me how didyou find out wherel was staying ?"
