I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 31

Dominic was glad Julian wasn’t marked by his friend. He had known him for so long and yet there were times like this that he couldn’t read him. Madox was the pinnacle of all alpha, powerful, overbearing and cruel when he put his mind to it. Luckily he had worked on those aspects so as not to scare everyone around him, but he would never know his true personality.

His phone rang until it was picked up on the other end and a deep voice could be heard on the other end of the call.

-Hello Nicholas I need a favor,” Madox spoke in perfect English.

Dominic waited for him to finish the conversation, which didn’t go on for many sentences, but he translated that this Fernando owed him a lot and that he needed his help. The rest he sent him in a message.

-That’s it,” said Madox once he had finished, “now on to the police station.

-I don’t want to bring the police into this,” growled Dominic.

-Don’t worry, it’s just a precautionary measure,” he turned the key and started the car on its way to a building five blocks away. Dominic didn’t understand everything Madox was doing, but he trusted him.

They both got out and walked over to a table where a petite woman sat with a protective necklace around her neck. She was an omega and her head was lowered in recent paperwork.

-Madox leaned back against the table with a sensual voice, letting his pheromones surround her.

-Madox,” he lifted his head with a silly, flirtatious grin, “What’s this handsome stud doing here,” he looked at Dominic, “And in good company.

-He clicked his tongue in disappointment. “I need a really big favour, do you think you can do it?

-The details, what would they be?

Madox leaned into his ear, not caring that there were more people inside the place.

-I’ll tell you in the back, as always,” he broke off with a smile and a twinkle in his eye.

The omega stood up and took him by the hand.

-Wait for me in the car, I won’t be long,” Madox said before disappearing with the omega.

Dominic was really pissed this time but he took a deep breath and went back. He plopped down in the expensive seat and closed the windows and turned on the air conditioning until the windows fogged up and still he couldn’t extinguish the flame of rage that was beating inside him.

He wanted to grab someone by the throat, punch him, and if his friend continued to dilate, he would be the one under his fist. Fifteen minutes later he saw the alpha coming out of the police station talking on his mobile phone again, trying to fix the tangle of his slightly damp and messy hair. Indignation crossed Dominic’s face.

-I can’t believe you jumped the omega surrounded by cops.

-Correction, it was in the bathroom, not surrounded by cops, I’ll remind you that the most I’ve ever done in the bulge is threesomes and you’ve been a part of them. Orgies aren’t my thing, two is fine, three is rich, four… heads chopped off.

The junior alpha clenched his fists.

-I’m not in the mood for jokes.

-Hey relax, first we have another stop before we go to a certain place, I need to get one last call in and you have as much energy as possible, so let’s get something to eat, I’m hungry,” he started the car.

-Do you think I’m hungry,” she said.

-Oh yes honey, you are, you haven’t eaten hardly anything since Aidan entered the hospital and I want to have you with all your energy for when the show starts,” joked the driver.

-Next time you call me sweetheart I’ll put a bullet in your a*s,” Dominic had reached boiling point but didn’t reply any further.

Madox parked again at one of the fancy restaurants he used to visit and after winking at the woman who greeted them, he went to a table.

-I remember why I don’t like hanging out with you,” Dominic snorted.

-Hey, I know you’re stressed and all, but don’t make me the topic of conversation,” Madox took a glass of white wine that had just been poured for him, “I’ve always been flirtatious with women and omega men I like, and they’re great bonds to solve all my problems. I can even rob a bank and get away unscathed.

-I don’t think Julian would like to hear that coming from your lips,” Dominic copied him savouring the liquid that stung his throat, “He looks delicate enough to put up with you, I wonder what you’re taking advantage of him?

-I told you to leave Julian out of this, I don’t take advantage of him, he’s the only one I don’t,” the alpha’s tone changed for a second.

-Then you’d better let him go before you hurt him, I saw in the hospital that he’s very attached to you. If he keeps holding on, YOU not promising him stability will only destroy his life, he’s young but he won’t be young forever-” Madox unconsciously bit down on the alpha.

Madox unconsciously bit the rim of his glass with a frown.

-I know what you mean my friend, but…” he let out a sigh, “the idea has crossed my mind so many times that my head hurts already, but just thinking that I’ll be able to touch him now makes me…” he sighed.

-It drives you crazy, you want to run and devour him, k**s him, tell him everything you feel, make love to him until he can’t scream anymore, mark him all over his body until his skin is almost unrecognizable,” Dominic concluded, receiving a raised eyebrow from the other alpha.

-I didn’t think I’d hit you that hard with Aidan,” his friend nodded, “But you’re right, it’s something like that.

-Dude, you’re in love with him.

Madox stood still for a second and then let out a loud laugh that alarmed the woman serving his food.

-You’re crazy Dominic, me in love? Not in my worst dreams.

-Why not, you’re an adult, he’s a beautiful omega and you’re an alpha, what’s stopping you?

-Madox stirred the food with his fork but he didn’t eat it, his appetite had been sent flying, I’m not the alpha that establishes a relationship.

-You’re impossible, really. Don’t you plan to have puppies in the future?

That question made the other alpha’s temple throb. That was something he normally avoided, that specific topic, it wasn’t that he didn’t want puppies, he just hadn’t sat down to analyse it in depth. He had a good heritage and he had to leave it to someone in the future and having precisely someone to be by his side in his future didn’t leave a bad taste in his mouth but he wasn’t worried.

-The food is getting cold.

Dominic gave up and let his shoulders drop.

-Seriously. I think you spent the money on this food because neither of us intend to touch it much.

At that the mobile phone rang and Madox pulled it out smiling at the contents of the message.

-Wow, they move fast. You who didn’t want to eat were listened to, we’re leaving,” and he left everything as it was, the bill paid and they both left.

Half an hour earlier

Hans was sitting on one of the seats in the deserted park with a blank stare until he clicked his tongue. All his plans had gone to shit because of his irresponsible fiancé. He could still feel his hands itching from the last contact with him and a wild feeling had come over him. Simply delicious.

He ran his hand over his forehead feeling the mobile phone vibrate without answering it. After three minutes he picked it up without looking at the screen.

-What the f**k do you want?

-A*****e, don’t talk to me like that,” on the other end of the line came his father’s voice, “Get off your a*s and come to the house, we’re in trouble.

-What happened? He stood up alarmed.

-My company, all my clients, my bank accounts, everything, everything is gone,” he growled.

-But how is that possible, what did you do wrong?

-You don’t care, come here right now!

Hans hung up and kicked the nearest stone, too bad it was buried in the ground and only damaged his expensive shoe.

-I knew I should have taken it from you long ago,” the beta fixed his shirt and turned around as four tall, burly, black-clad men surrounded him.

One of them put the barrel of a gun to his back and whispered.

-Beta, you’re coming with us!

Natacha hung up the phone after hearing her neighbour’s speech about the disaster of his company and the bankruptcy that awaited him. He had had the audacity to ask her for the money he had paid for Aidan when he was little but where would she get it from. He’d spent it long ago, so she’d ignored most of the conversation. Now she was so upset that she grabbed the búcaro and threw it against the mirror. The sound of shattering glass invaded the room followed by a shout.

-You ungrateful bitch, I kept you all these years and this is how you repay me. Why are you doing this to me Aidan,” she put her hands to her head and burst into tears. Why, first your damned alpha father who left me for that omega,” the memories came back one after the other.

That alpha had stolen her heart after meeting him through a friend. She had gone to great lengths to be close to him. She was young and deluded and had not missed the opportunity, that night when he was totally drunk. She had opened her legs to him without hindering him, thinking that she already had him in her clutches. She would hold him responsible for what he had supposedly done to her. It had always been her dream to have a beautiful, powerful man like him by her side. He had left the next morning before she woke up without leaving her a note. And that same day he had travelled out of the country without knowing he would leave a son behind.

-If I find you again Aidan, you and your father, I will make you pay for all the pain you have put me through,” she said through gritted teeth, wiping away the tears that had been replaced by tears of grief.

Her mobile rang and she looked at the message that had arrived with sender Hans.

She read it without much enthusiasm. He didn’t want to know much about that family right now.

“Come and see me, I’m in the street behind your house. I have information you can use concerning your son.”

Natacha’s eyes lit up and without putting the mobile phone away she walked out of the house to where he was telling her only to find the street deserted. Their area was quite quiet, so the neighbours didn’t even look out of the windows. He kicked the ground looking this way and that. No one until she felt a presence behind her.

-Hans, where am I supposed to be…” she turned around to find an extremely large man dressed in black.

-You’re Natacha,” he said in a flirtatious voice that would melt anyone’s legs.

-The same, how can I help you?

-The man held up a spray can and sprayed it in front of the beta’s face. The beta quickly fell into his arms unconscious. The man raised a hand and touched the microphone to her ear -Target 2 captured-.

Dominic and Madox headed for a remote area of the city made up mainly of abandoned factories and junkyards. The sun was almost setting so the yellowish rays danced across Dominic’s tousled hair. He was chewing between his teeth on a strong mint candy his friend had given him on the grounds that it would help him contain his anxiety, but it was doing little work. It had been part of the day and at this point he had no idea what the other alpha had in mind.

-We’re here,” he announced with a strange smile on his lips.

They had parked in front of a warehouse in the deepest parts. It was large and surrounded by several people guarding it. The two got out and the men paid attention to them but calmed down when they detected the presence of Madox who let out his pheromones indicating his place.

-Are they the ones? – Dominic asked intrigued. They were all tall, stocky men, attractive if you took off their dark glasses even though there was almost no natural light and everything fell into gloom and there was an undeniable smell of alpha wafting from each of them.

-The only people you don’t want to cross paths with in your f*****g life,” Madox replied with a smile and turned to a man approaching them, “it’s good to see you,” he said.

The one called Nicolas was no more and no less than an alpha with a broad, muscular build and a scar that ran across his face above his eye. His short black hair was neatly combed back. All normal until one noticed the type of clothing that did not go unnoticed.

What’s this jerk doing hanging out with the mafia? It was the most rational thought that crossed Dominic’s mind.

-You calling me to do whatever you want can’t become a habit, Madox,” she scolded him, but still bumped fists with him.

Dominic was silent as the two of them spoke. Another reason to say he didn’t know his friend. He even had dangerous friendships.

-Come, I have a nice surprise for you, I didn’t touch you like you asked me to so you can taste the virgin flesh and then we can do it ourselves. Since you’ve already paved the way, we’ll have as much fun as we can,” Sander indicated and walked ahead of them into the warehouse.

It was dimly lit and dusty, ruining the expensive shoes of the three alphas. A light in the middle of the place showed five of the same guards outside surrounding two people sitting in chairs. They were tied with their hands behind them and their ankles against the wood. Their heads covered by cloth bags did not reveal their identities but one thing was true. They were shivering so badly that one of them had urinated, from the clothing he knew it was a man.

Dominic sniffed and grunted internally. The faint odours of these two he had smelled before. They were both betas, they didn’t emit pheromones but there was no mistaking them. Those scents, both of them had once been on Aidan’s body. He walked past Nicolas and uncovered the head of one of them to find Hans’ face in a gag and his eyes blindfolded with a piece of cloth that was soaked in tears. The alpha’s growl this time was so loud that even Madox scratched his head.

-He’s really pissed off,” he muttered.

Dominic then turned to the silently weeping woman and removed the bag to find Natacha. Her fangs grew inside her mouth wanting to tear at the skin of either of them and her eyes turned a deep green. The warehouse filled with thick alpha pheromone. Madox smiled at the sight of his friend out of place. It was good for him to lose control once in a while so he could relax better afterwards.

-So Dominic,” he called, “Did you like my surprise,” the alpha looked over his shoulder. So that’s what all the mystery was about – I took care of everything – Nicolas took care of downgrading the stock where that a*****e’s father worked and his company will close down as well as taking care of reporting him for manufacturing and testing drugs without a medical license, he’ll rot in jail – He guffawed – So you can do with them what you want – What you want?
