I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 42

Aidan opened the fridge and found he didn’t know how many things inside. It had been a week since he’d been home from the hospital and his alpha insisted on filling it up with both healthy things and knick-knacks, claiming he needed to make up for the pounds he’d lost in the hospital, and maybe a little more. At this point he couldn’t deny that it felt good to have someone to spoil him as much as he did, as well as being attentive to everything. What he was worried about was pushing out a little belly in his flat belly that he had maintained for so long.

They still didn’t sleep in the same room as they had decided to take it slow, plus Dominic had been the first to object because he was afraid to put his hands on him while he was still in recovery. Well, that part was fine, but Aidan wished there was a little more progress between them. The omega part of him was at its best after some of his b***d was cleansed from the transfusions, so he was very sensitive. And if he added that the whole house smelled of alpha, with all his pheromones drifting everywhere, it wasn’t like he could stay very calm.

Even the events of that night he no longer saw them in the same way. Before the operation he was, perhaps, not afraid of him, it was a strange thing, but he didn’t want me to touch him. Maybe it was because it had been too raw an experience for him. But once he had opened his eyes it was as if everything was in a different perspective. The fear was completely gone and now he was the one who wanted to get underneath him and ride his h**s.

But the fucker was doing absolutely nothing. He snorted finishing grabbing a juice box with the six donut box he planned to eat the whole thing. His appetite had really been whetted by the hormone stabilizing drugs.

-What’s on your mind,” Dominic’s voice filled the room as he came out of the room straightening his suit and putting his car keys in his pocket.

She looked radiant, with a dazzling smile and with her blonde hair combed to one side, she was a dazzling sight. It was because her forecasts had not even come close to matching what had actually happened. The product launched by his company had been such a success that the demand was so high that the stock in the stores had been sold out in less than 10 hours and everything had to be left in pre-sales. The profits had been such that Dominic was already looking for a new building to move all the staff and finance his own industry for the products to come. An investment he knew he wouldn’t regret, and with all that, he had money left over to spend.

Even Aidan had been given his recognition even though he had not been able to attend the ceremony due to his break. At the moment he had his mobile phone switched off as the notifications of projects for him to work on collaborations were too many. He had decided to choose those that did not have a fixed-term contract with any company. He was comfortable in his job, and the rest would be for a background just in case.

-You’re going to the press conference,” the omega deflected the subject, leaning his h*p to the plateau as he munched on one of the donuts.

-It seems to me that you’ll have to find a second right hand. When you come back I want to show you something I’ve been working on, it’s a concept for the next product. It’s specifically focused on alphas and omegas, but I think betas will be interested in it.

-I’ll be back as soon as possible, I’m interested in what you have in your hand,” Dominic grabbed the remaining half of the doughnut in his hand and gave him a k**s on the cheek.

-Hey, that’s mine,” Aidan protested but eventually took another after seeing him smile, “I’ll go to the salon later and get my hair done,” he touched his hair ends, “Julian will be there and then we’ll go out and talk a bit, you know, about omega stuff,” he lifted his shoulders, taking his interest away from him.

Dominic knew he was working on learning about his new life and luckily there was Julian, that guy who hung around with Madox, so any gossip would stay in the circle.

-Do you need me to call a car to move you?

-No, don’t worry, I want to walk a bit, I’ll do it gently,” she added quickly when she saw his frown, “The doctor said I can’t do excessive exercise, say running, training, too much shaking or s*x, but I need to go for a walk or I’ll lose my shape.

Dominic kissed his forehead to wipe it clean after noticing that he had left two grains of sugar on it.

-OK, I get it,” he was being overprotective but having him in a hospital bed had been too much for him, “You know where the money is, if you want you can go shopping, I’m planning a little holiday to Hawaii and it would be nice if you could buy some summer clothes, it’s warm there,” he suggested.

-Hawaii? Really,” he got excited, “Why didn’t you tell me that before? Of course I’m going shopping.

-I was seeing what the reservations and everything would be like, but the place I wanted to take you to was full, so Madox had to pull some strings.

-Oh, Madox,” he folded his arms across his chest, “Is he going?

-Well, yes, they’d let him have two suites if he made the reservation himself.

-And who’s he going with? Or is he going alone?

Dominic took a sip of his juice. He found it charming to share, or rather, to steal breakfast from his omega.

-I don’t know, he’s not very explicit when he feels like it,” he closed the juice box and turned around, “See you then love, I’ll run or else Leo will kill me,” Aidan watched him walk out the door.

Aidan watched him walk out the door and noticed that his alpha, besides having taken some of his juice, had taken another donut, the one with his favourite icing on it. He pulled out his phone, turned it on muting the crazy notifications and typed in that he should bring him a new box. He grabbed what was left of his breakfast and sat down in front of the new TV to watch another of the movies he’d bought her. Yes, he liked to be pampered, at least until he started work where being idle would certainly not be part of his routine.

The omega looked at himself in the mirror and smiled slightly at the result. He liked that his hair was short even if it left a visible mark on his neck. Julian had told him that with this many alphas wouldn’t mess with him and would leave him alone. Since he had only recently been him naturally he still had to control his pheromones a bit so he might attract one or two.

-You like it,” Julian set the utensils down on the table picking up the ones that were out of place.

-I love it, I think I know where to turn whenever I’m in trouble,” Julian smiled.

Julian smiled.

-Whenever you want, your presence is pleasant,” he smiled kindly.

-You’re quite formal for such a young man,” Aidan stood up and rearranged his clothes, “You make me feel like an old man,” Julian smiled again.

The omega smiled again.

-I’m sorry, it’s a habit.

-Whatever you say,” Aidan paid at the cashier’s desk the cost of the services, receiving a discount for being an acquaintance of one of the employees, “Julian, I’ll wait for you outside,” he said and went out to the street.

There were a lot of people that afternoon. It would be hard to find a quiet place to talk. He felt Julian come out with his backpack and they both started their walk.

-Julian, has Madox said anything to you about any plans he has in mind these days,” he asked as tactfully as possible. Dominic had explained their complicated relationship and she didn’t want him to feel bad.

-Yeah, he called me last night and told me he’d made reservations for me to go with him.

Wow, at least a breakthrough with the stubborn alpha. I really never knew what was going through his brain cells. He’d flirt with anyone, including him, but when it came to the serious stuff he’d always go for Julian. It was to kick his a*s. Aidan took him by the hand.

-Hey, have you got your swimming costume and clothes for the trip yet,” he saw him deny, “Well let’s go shopping then, I’ve never done it with anyone but it sounds like fun, what do you think?

-As long as the swimming costume isn’t too revealing it’s all right, Madox can be very jealous,” he replied coyly.

-To hell with that alpha and his jealousy. You and I are going to look like kings, let’s see the look on their faces.

-Aidan, what you just said has nothing to do with your character,” Julian scratched his temple.

-That’s what happens when I spend too much time in the house with an alpha who won’t lay a finger on me. The omega in me is about to collapse. So Hawaii equals eat it,” declared the omega with his hormones speaking for him.

Julian joined in his enthusiasm even though, although he loved Madox he couldn’t feel the same way because they didn’t have a bond. But at least he was content with the attention she gave him. He wasn’t selfish enough to tell a high alpha to be with an omega like him. And so the two headed to the mall with a plan in mind without realising they were being watched.
