I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 85

Madox had told him he would take her to some special places, but Julian had no idea where it would be. He wouldn’t give details although he had a huge smile on his face. He had to admit he liked the alpha paying attention to him. But not like before.

Madox was always attentive to his partners, no matter if it was a one night stand or some date that lasted a week. He seduced as much with his actions as with his words. He was efficient at that. That was why Julian had never demanded more of her attention. He feared that if he did the alpha would cast him aside, as he had done with some who had dared to ask for more than he gave them and it hadn’t ended well.

He was an unpredictable alpha. You never knew how he was going to act and that was what scared him. Plus, he was impossible to read. Yes, she used to treat him well…but like everyone else, no more, no less, only with the difference that he didn’t usually ask for things and he gave them to her anyway.

But now…it felt different. It wasn’t the kind of attention it used to be, it was much more…how to say…affectionate. A kind of attention that really made him feel loved. That was the reason he gave her a chance to see if they would work as a serious relationship, not just a few months’ courtship.

Because a relationship wasn’t one-sided love. And even though he could tell Madox was showing feelings for him, he knew enough about her person to hesitate. One year. That year would be final. At least he was glad his cubs would have a father who would care for them. He hoped he wasn’t wrong.

-What’s the matter little bird,” Madox reached out and gave him a gentle caress on his thigh, “You’re very serious,” he said.

-I’m just wondering where you’re taking me.

Madox smiled wider and his chest puffed out proudly.

-To fulfill your dreams puppy, to fulfill your dreams.

Julian looked at him blinking quizzically. That’s what he meant by being unpredictable. But he understood it all when he stood in front of a beautiful garden full of flowers surrounding a two-story eclectic style house. It had modern parts, but at the same time tall struts and columns. Huge wooden French windows and stained glass on most of the walls. Painted white and red, it was a beautiful house.

-You like it, don’t you?

He turned to him with wide eyes.

-Madox, this house is…..

-Yes love, it’s the one you saw that time in the magazine and you loved it. I still remember you telling me that someday you’d raise enough for your puppies to live there,” the fangs showed through the alpha’s proud smile.

-He couldn’t believe it.

-I’m stupid about some things, but I have a very good memory.

He was still stunned and looked from the alpha to the house.

-Yes, birdie, it’s yours. Although the papers haven’t been completely closed in case you didn’t want this one and liked another one. I spent all day yesterday looking for a house for you and my girls, and it came to me. It really fell out of the sky.

Julian blinked only for two tears to fall from his eyes and then he began to sob. Madox was alarmed and didn’t know what to do. Julian was not one to cry so easily unless he was disturbed.

Julian couldn’t help but laugh at her comment. And he let himself get swept up in it.

-The house still doesn’t have much furniture for you to choose the decorations you want. You put it on me. I’m not very good at decorating either and I don’t want my daughters to live in the basic colors that surround me, life should be more lively in a good way- the alpha chattered while they saw each of the spaces in the house until they ended up in the backyard where there was a swimming pool, next to a jacuzzi, a bar for guests and even a small park that was part of the immense land.

-It’s nicer than it looked in the pictures,” Julian smiled.

-We can have a dog and even two. I like them but I never have time to take care of them, so now that I plan to take my work less rigorously than before to have time for my family. Speicer and Spanky can be part of this place.

Speicer and Spanky? Julian couldn’t help but snort.

-At least let me name the dogs.

Julian bowed his head, feeling happier than ever, especially since he had said family. Living with his family, dogs included. And looking at him a little more, the image of Madox seemed more and more appropriate for someone who had a family.

-Madox,” she called to him and when he turned to look at her he stood on tiptoe and placed a brief k**s on her lips, “Thank you.

It was a sincere thank you and the alpha circled her waist and assaulted her lips since he had made the first move. He kissed her lips almost desperately. He put his hand to his face and sighed. For a moment the image flashed through his head and he panicked and then he remembered he was a doctor and how things worked.

-You sound like a father fanatical about his daughters’ health,” Julian couldn’t help but mock him.

Madox looked more vulnerable and open than ever.

-Don’t laugh Julian, this is all new to me,” he pouted strangely.

-Don’t let others of your kind hear you or you might have their alpha pride hurt.

-If he is hurt by you I think I can get over it,” Madox said sincerely.

A blush crossed Julian’s face and he lowered his head. This time he was the one who was surprised. If he kept this up he would really give birth to his puppies because it was too many sensations together.

And then they entered the beauty salon that Madox had prepared for him in one of the best areas of the city, only a few minutes away from the house.

-I can’t believe you’ve solved all this in just a few hours,” he took a sip of the drink the alpha would have bought him, “You even contrasted people for the new beauty salon,” he said.

-You didn’t like the surprise,” the alpha’s tone came out less pretentious than usual.

-I loved it, I’m just still processing it,” he stroked her arm so he wouldn’t feel bad.

-I’ve known you wanted your own salon for a long time, I just looked for one that was simple and accommodating to you. I know you like to have your own money so I thought having your own business would suit you,” he scratched his cheek nervously.

And Julian could only laugh. This alpha was definitely not the same one he had left months ago. He was like someone new but with that wild edge he liked.

They stopped after another hour of driving at the top of a mountain where the road had a small break and Madox turned the car off.

He nodded and got out of the vehicle to approach the metal fence and look at the beautiful view from there. The wind ruffled his curly hair and he closed his eyes. He felt Madox’s arms wrap around his stomach and his hands caressed his still small belly. He let himself fall against the comforting warmth behind him.

-This was the first place I brought you on our first date,” he whispered in her ear, “I want this to be our beginning. Where we leave our lives and our worries behind and start from scratch,” her voice was low.

Julian turned his face to meet Madox’s and allowed her to k**s him. Soft, delicate, as if it was their first k**s. Because he knew that from that moment on things between them were definitely going to change.
