I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 9

The members of the design department looked at each other and swallowed loudly. They couldn’t make up their minds who would give the papers to their boss. The reason. Simple. Aidan was frowning painfully and his countenance warned that he didn’t want anyone around.

-You take him,” one of the girls patted the back of one of the younger ones and the boy only opened his eyes with trembling lips. He cautiously approached his superior.

-Director- his voice came out unsteady- Here’s the latest analysis-.

Aidan did not look at him. He reached out his hand, taking the document in the air to open it and begin to review it.

-Thank you,” he replied coldly and the boy walked away as quickly as possible to his seat, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

No one had seen Aidan upset, but it was known that every time he had a discussion or a topic where his opinion was present, he came out victorious, adding the aura he had around him, some did not dare to go beyond the limit.

For his part the beta was farther away than they thought. His head was throbbing non-stop and the frown was because he couldn’t focus his monitor properly. His stomach was again threatening to give back all of his lunch and the image of this morning wouldn’t leave his mind. He took his fingers and squeezed the septum of his nose stopping himself from all work. He waited a few seconds hoping for improvement but everything was worse. The nausea increased even more and he became dizzy. Had the medicine made him sick? That had not happened before.

He got up with a thud from his chair and ran quickly to the bathroom, leaving everyone bewildered. He only had time to lean over a toilet and release all the contents of his stomach. After several arches he remained weak kneeling on the floor trying to catch his breath. He felt his body bathed in sweat and the same heat as last time building up in his lower belly.

-What the hell is happening now,” he gasped uncomfortably.

He pushed his hair away from his face and shakily got up to the sink where he rinsed the sour taste from his mouth and then his face.

He gasped. No. He g*****d and covered his lips with his hand. He looked around and to his luck the bathroom was empty. She splashed water on her face again and when she looked in the mirror, there, on her cheeks, was a distinct blush.

-It can’t be what I’m thinking,” he felt his body temperature rising and it was causing him discomfort. He was not used to his body reacting like this and his pain senses were beginning to flare up.

He squeezed the edge of the sink with a grimace avoiding a scream. He almost bit his tongue in the process. Her legs began to wobble and she lost her balance before she could react.

In the air her body almost vanished in the wave of new sensations. Arms wrapped around his torso and barely straightened him. A velvety voice caressed his ear.

-It’s not a good time and place for you to be like this,” Dominic tried to contain his tone of concern.

There was something wrong with this young man. Some might say he was going into heat, but that supposed heat didn’t smell like heat. His scent was different and the pain that seemed to be running through him was not of pleasure as it normally would be.

-Let me go,” he managed to articulate with a gasp and made a futile attempt to pull away.

-Not now, love, we must take you to a better place and take care of you, then you can fight me all you want,” the alpha took off his black couture jacket and slipped it over his head. He carried him in his arms and left the bathroom where Leo waited patiently at the door.

-Leave everything to me,” the beta replied looking away as his boss walked out.

Dominic knew he could trust him, he wasn’t his right hand man for the sake of it, not to mention his left as well. More than one person stared at him, he just ignored it. Aidan had gone very still in his arms, that indicated he had lost consciousness, that was not good.

He put her in the car and sat down beside her, laying her head carefully on his shoulder.

-To the apartment,” her driver just nodded.

He picked up his cell phone and dialed several numbers, among them his personal doctor and family friend and finally Dulse’s.

-I’ll be home in ten minutes, I don’t want to see you there,” and he hung up, he had used his Voice, he had better hope she disappeared from his apartment when he arrived. He was more focused on the health of his destined mate than putting up with tantrums from his fiancée.

Aidan shifted weakly against her body. He draped his arms over her shoulders and that seemed to calm him as her gasps minimized and her scent did as well. She kissed his temple gently and found the sweet taste of him. She licked the area with the tip of her tongue and only stopped when she felt his b***d increase in pressure. She had to keep control.

As soon as she got to her apartment she left him on the bed in the guest room, having him in her bedroom was too much of a temptation. Dulse was out and apparently quite upset as there was more than one broken glass on the floor.

Minutes later the doorbell rang and she let in Madox, a tall, well-dressed alpha who had lost none of his glamour over the years.

-Dominic led him to the boy and the doctor could only wrinkle his nose.

-You know how dangerous it is to bring in an alpha when an omega is close to having his jealousy,” he said.

Dominic raised an eyebrow

-Here we have a problem, I trust your verdicts, I get his scent too, but he says she’s a beta- -Beta my a*s- -So mesmerizing.

-Beta my a*s,” as measured and polite as ever, “My sense of smell is unbeatable, that’s a 100% omega, with too much chemical in her b***d, that’s for sure.

Madox was known in the world of science for being as sharp on his tongue as he was on his nose. And there wasn’t a single time he had ever been wrong, if he said someone was something, that was it and there was no retort. Dominic had met him through happenstance and they ended up having a kind of rare friendship.

-Anyway let me check him out, I don’t like the color of his face and he doesn’t seem to be feeling well. These omegas nowadays take so many drugs in their bodies that they don’t know how to take care of themselves afterwards- he shook his head as if it was for fun- Well? your interest in him is because he is your destined partner- so intuitive- This will bring you problems in the future, so prepare artillery, first for your family and second so you don’t rape him in the process.

-That will be a difficult thing, my heat is coming soon- Dominic could only reply.
