‘Do not underestimate the surrounding forest in Sebastian’s mansion.’ Seth recalled the elder’s words before he left to check on the vampire lord’s situation.

As the head of the vampire knights, one of Seth’s responsibilities was to ensure the Lord’s safety. After receiving the news from one of his subordinates, saying that the white alpha was on the move and had entered the empire, he grew wary about Latina and the lord’s safety. The alpha’s goal remained unknown, and that’s what made it more dangerous. Without the vampire lord, the b***d tribe will be in chaos and that was one thing he couldn’t allow. He’d do everything to keep things in order, even sacrificing his mate for the lord’s plans. Seth undoubtedly liked Latina, but he had other priorities than thinking about his offspring. If it were someone else, he’d pave his way to get her back, but it was the vampire lord and a true-b***d.

Seth’s senses became stronger when the alpha howled. He couldn’t let his guard down. His eyes darted on the white thing running ahead. “Found you,” he smirked when he confirmed his target’s location.

“I don’t like that witch’s attitude, but she’s still one of the Lachouves clan,” Seth muttered, referring to Claudia who was taken by the werewolf. “I bet that rascal would regret it once he finds out that Claudia isn’t that pretty as what people say. I wonder why he took her after trying to make a move on Latina.” Seth continued to follow the fleeing beast at a slow pace.

The young boy watched the white wolf turn into its human form. “Never seen an alpha before, but he looks just like the other naked beasts,” Seth commented while watching the werewolf examine Claudia. He did everything he could to suppress his laughter when the Alpha’s face showed disappointment after looking at Claudia’s face. “This old hag will yell like crazy after being insulted like this,” the lad said while biting his l*p to prevent himself from laughing. He may not be visible as he could hide from others when he’d become one with the air, but he couldn’t hide the sounds he made… and his scent.

“Grr!”

Seth was quick to dodge when the alpha roared in his direction. It was no ordinary roar, there were invisible wind blades with it. ‘Not bad,’ he thought. Only a few could tell his exact location when he was hiding. ‘But you won’t catch me,’ he laughed in his mind. He stopped making fun of the enemy when the sky suddenly turned dark, followed by heavy rain. “Uh-oh, I can’t hide if it’s raining this hard,” Seth muttered and looked for a nearby tree branch to land.

The sudden rain also interrupted the alpha who was planning to dispose of Claudia. While the heavy raindrops made Claudia conscious. She opened her eyes and hysterically screamed upon seeing a naked man.

“AH! What are you doing? How dare you?” she cried, pointing her finger at the alpha’s face and tightened her robe’s belt. “I’m the vampire lord’s mate and you dared to abuse me!” Claudia continued, though her actions were exactly different from her words. Her eyes were glued on the alpha’s well-built frame.

It amused both men how she could scream louder than the sound of rain.

‘What an idiot,’ Seth thought. He dived in the air and held Claudia’s hand, pulling her closer to him so they could both hide from the enemy’s sight.

“What the heck are you doing?”

Sighing, Seth covered Claudia’s mouth as they ascended, “He’s the white alpha from the beast tribe,” he informed her. He rolled his eyes when he felt the other shivering.

“Don’t make any sound if you don’t want to die yet,” the young boy warned. They were so close to a giant tree branch when Seth was attacked by a ferocious beast.

“Argh!” Seth g*****d in pain when the werewolf’s fangs grazed his arm. He lost his balance and fell while hugging Claudia. Werewolves were naturally good in close combat and one of their assets in fighting was their poisonous fangs.

“Drink my b***d,” Claudia whispered to the boy. She cast a spell, so they could remain floating in the air and teleport fifty meters away from their previous location.

“What the hell are you saying?” Seth muttered as he endured the pain. He had killed hundreds of beasts and had never been hurt even once. This would be the first time, and he was quite proud that it was from alpha and not a bunch of stupid beasts.

“Just do it, I am immune to any kind of poison and it runs through my b***d. If you want to grow up and take that annoying lady away from the lord, then just drink it. I’m helping you because I know how it feels when someone else sleeps with your mate,” Claudia said. She slit her pulse using her nails and pressed her wound on Seth’s mouth.

The boy was too weak to resist, and he needed b***d, he sucked the b***d off Claudia’s wrist until he felt better. He wiped his mouth and let his head fell on Claudia’s shoulder.

“We should get out of here,” Seth suggested, he closed his eyes when Claudia embraced him. “It’s your turn to protect me now, sister.”

“Silly, who’s your sister?”

Seth closed his eyes, “Although I wished you’re wearing something decent while holding me in your arms,” he commented. “Seriously, stop trying so hard. The lord had made his choice, he was not the type to easily give up on what he wanted. Accept the fact that you ain’t his type, even after taking off your clothes…he wouldn’t look at you the same as when he looked at her.”

“You’re so mean,” Claudia mumbled.

“Hah, I won’t forgive him if he got in your pants on his own accord.” Seth smiled bitterly, “I didn’t intend to let that type of man have my woman. Well, age shouldn’t matter though.” The youthful knight ended his dialogue with a fake laugh.

“Silly brother,” Claudia whispered.
