Immortal Desire -
Chapter 46
After a month of staying in Sebastian’s mansion, Latina felt more protected. Her wandering thoughts were easily settled by the man’s kind words, giving her no chance to worry about little things every single day thus she could sleep with ease at night, peacefully, as she knew she could trust him. She learned to do household chores and tasted a lot of nice foods and drinks. Sebastian would always give her what she needed under one condition; she had to stay inside and never go outside unless he said so. Latina submissively obliged. She doesn’t have anywhere else to go anyway.
The relationship between the two grew stronger, deeper, and more passionate. As a lady, Latina would be lying if she thought Sebastian was not a good catch. The man almost had everything. His well-defined facial features and toned body can make the ladies swoon over him. Well, if he doesn’t scowl right on their faces, it would be better. Having an enormous place for himself was extravagant, that was what Latina thought when she confirmed that Sebastian was living alone. Even those who were working for him weren’t allowed to stay. She assumed that she was special for having the opportunity to talk to him without the need of bowing her head and staying with him was one thing she loved the most.
“You’re so beautiful,” Sebastian said while they were both sitting on the soft cushion in the living room, watching the fire burning the logs she stacked earlier in the fireplace. Latina smiled, appreciating the compliment. She snuggled closer to him which made the man smile. He wrapped his arm around her waist as she laid her head on his chest to sleep. How ironic it was when two cold-blooded demons rubbed their skins against each other to produce warmth and protect themselves from the extremely low temperature seeping through their bodies. Sebastian shook his head when he realized what he did to her. He was the one who altered her memories. The idea wouldn’t be ironic for the lady who thought of herself as some ordinary mortal.
The night was young and cold. It was not long after the sun had set when the chilly breeze had rampaged outside. The sweet fragrance coming from the garden scattered in the wind. Wild animals inhabiting the western woods were busy running for their safety. Heavy rain was expected that very night yet, Sebastian seemed not to mind it at all. After all, he had his plan ready.
Latina gradually opened her eyes when she felt the warm touches on her skin. Her pale face turned red when she realized what it was. She found Sebastian’s wet lips smacking her cheeks down to her neck. “Mm…” she m****d when she felt his breath fanning her. She hissed in disappointment when the tickling sensation was gone, earning a chuckle from him.
“Dissatisfied?” Sebastian asked her when he pulled away from his face. She puffed her cheeks with her brows furrowed. He was like that every time. Doing things that blow her mind, sweeping the black ink covering her world, and painting it with bright colors. Latina’s young heart was easily captivated.
“Mn,” she nodded her head while biting her l*p. It wasn’t the first time Sebastian cuddled her. He occasionally held her hand, brushed her hair with his fingers, caressed her face, kissed her forehead, and most of the time hugged her from the back. Even so, Sebastian hadn’t kissed her on the lips which she wished for since she thought it was more intimate. He could tempt her by simply chewing on his food whenever they’re having a meal together. And she had to try harder not to get swayed by his tactics.
A quick view of the ceiling flashed before Latina’s eyes when she was swiftly pressed down on the sofa. She didn’t have time to ask anything about what was going on. Instead, she started to palpitate when Sebastian enclosed her between his arms. Their gazes met, a pair of blinding silver-gray eyes dominating a couple of glowing light brown orbs underneath.
“Will you stop me?” Sebastian’s voice was rough and dry, almost inaudible, but he whispered those words in her ears. There was no way for her to ignore the question with that extensively domineering and seductive tone. He rubbed the tip of their noses, waiting for her response as he observed her reactions. Latina closed her eyes and pulled a smile.
“Will you allow me to stop you?” she asked and slowly, she opened her eyes filled with burning thirst and cravings. Something she tried to hide ever since it started to build up inside her. She was cautious not to spill the beans, oppressing the want she had for him even if it meant that she had to play tough. But everything crumbled with just one simple question from him. Sebastian’s words were packed with bombs, giving her hints that he’d soon explode, and he wanted to do it with her, inside her to be specific.
She may be pure and was innocent until she laid her eyes on him for the first time she thought she had. The dull innocence of her world was coated with endless colors he spilled, and she was hoping he’d pour them sooner rather than sprinkling some.
The man smirked at her reply. He moved closer without looking away. His gaze was enough to arouse her. Slowly, he leaned down while holding his breath until their lips met. Latina unconsciously parted her lips when Sebastian kissed him gently, brushing their wet rims against each other softly, moving in a delicate synchronization, like a smooth feather caressing her lips. No clashing of teeth nor battling of tongues. Just sweet honey smooches for their very first k**s. Latina’s body trembled as the sharp bolt of electricity entered her body, invading her veins, sending a shock to every part of her entirety. Sebastian was alarmed. He could feel it, she wanted more than just the k**s. Latina’s earnest response fueled the fire he started.
Unconsciously, they both strip each other. As their bodies ruled over by the kindling temperature couldn’t take the heat. Latina was prepared to offer everything she had; her heart, soul, and body, for she was willing to surrender her all for him. The man who gave her warmth, painted her world with colors to brush away her despair, and the first person who offered his hand to her. His words were always sweet and caring. There was no way she would doubt him anymore. However, she missed something important. She fell in love at the right time but may not be in the right person.
