Chapter 50

Morning came and the Wyslien kingdom remained in terror. After the havoc caused by the vampire knight, the red alpha decided to gather all the remaining fighters to start a war against the b***d tribe. The werelions were encouraged to prepare for battle while the werewolves chose to wait for the king’s order.

“Sire, nobody from the pack who pursued the young ladies made it. The tunnel where they used to escape also disappeared like it didn’t exist at all.”

Mathew glared at the servant who gave him a report. He was sleepless and the commotion caused by the werelions outside the palace, demanding permission to attack the Vacil empire caused him more headaches. Restless, the werewolf alpha sat on his throne while contemplating whether to go with the other alpha’s plan or continue to pursue Latina and his sister.

“What do you mean disappeared?” he asked the servant who abruptly bowed his head before replying.

“Sire, the secret passage behind the wall of the room is gone. The walls went back to be intact, with no trace of any opening. We tried to crush the wall but it only led us to the opposite room,” his servant explained.

“Disappeared…that would be too hard to believe unless the witches were involved,” he murmured. ‘Damn! Where are you, Latina? Did you take Azrene with you as collateral for your safety?’ the werewolf alpha clenched his fist in anger. ‘It must be the Vampire lord. He took them while the vampire kid was messing around outside last night.’

“Inform the werelions; I have something to discuss with their alpha,” he ordered. The servant wasted no time and rushed outside to rely on the king’s order.

The grand chamber where the alphas usually discuss their plans was quiet. Sitting around the oval table was the red alpha of werelions on the right, the blue alpha of weretigers on the left who just came back from his expedition to the north, and the white alpha of the werewolves on his extravagant seat on the top corner of the table. The three of them watched the maid-servant silently serving the tea and the best snack that the palace had.

The scent of tea leaves was strong yet with a sweet fragrance. It helped with lighting up the atmosphere inside the room. After serving everything she had on the food-stroller, the maid-servant carefully left, making sure she wouldn’t cause any unnecessary sound. The creaking of the closing door signaled the start of their important conversation.

“Was it the Vampire lord himself?” the weretiger Alpha asked. He heard about the news only a few minutes ago and as much as possible, he wanted to know all the details.

“If it was the vampire lord, what do you think would happen to him? He’s going to be killed, Tyler!” Leo, the werelion alpha exclaimed. The weretiger on the other side of the table reminded him of the vampire knight. Their physics weren’t that far from each other. Besides, Tyler was the youngest among the beast alphas but how his mind works cannot be defined by his young age. “But it was a kid! Those damn bloodsuckers sent a kid!”

“Yet he managed to kill many of your men and smoothly escaped. Was he just a kid?” The weretiger tilted his head to the side while looking at the aggravated werelion. “So, what about your ‘bride’?” He turned his gaze to the werewolf who was in a daze. Tyler observed Mathew. Unusually pale skin and dark circles around his eyes, one look, and he could tell that the man was f****d up. The devastation was written all over his face. “I heard that even Azrene was gone,” the weretiger continued when Mathew didn’t respond. “I assumed that we’re going to discuss the next procedure to follow now that things have turned out to be like this.”

“Right. I’ve already prepared my men to stand by,” Leo replied. “We’ll set out once the decision has been made. Just thinking about those nasty vampires touching Azrene boils my b***d,” he added, crushing the teacup he was holding.

“You’re so stupid as always, Leo.” Tyler rolled his eyes after listening to what the other had said. “You’re planning to jump on the fire without bringing any water to kill it. In the end, you’ll either get burnt scars and survive or die without a corpse left,” he muttered, making the redhead stand from his seat.

“And who do you think you are? You did nothing but keep on monitoring the northern lands where no one even lives there. I always want to tell you this but now’s the right time, so I’ll speak,” Leo blurted out. “I don’t like you Tyler and that fact won’t change. Your sharp tongue that you twist every time you want to say something like you know a lot is truly annoying!”

“Oh?” Tyler remained sitting comfortably in his seat. He even took his time sipping on his tea. “Is that all you want to say?”

“Bastard!” Leo pulled the younger one on his collar and was about to land a blow on his face when a white wolf appeared. Its green eyes were glaring at them.

“How dare you start a ruckus in here?” Mathew roared in his wolf form. Leo let Tyler go and sat back on his chair.

On the other hand, Tyler ignored the point of why Mathew shifted. “Whoa! Your white fur is always fascinating!” he screamed, hugging the huge wolf.

“Stupid, get a hold of yourself!” Leo scolded but Tyler just made a face at him.

“That’s enough,” Mathew sighed and shifted back to his human form, bare-naked. “Tyler, what is the probability of winning against the b***d tribe?” he asked.

Tyler, who leaped a few meters away from him after he turned back and revealed his nakedness, coughed a couple of times before giving him an answer. “If we eat the dish before getting served, we can finish the whole course meal in no time.”

“Meaning?” Leo asked, confused. He knew that Tyler was born a genius, but he always refused to acknowledge him or maybe, it’s hard for him to understand his ideas at all.

The weretiger smiled, “Surprise attack my friend. It’s the best way to wipe them out now before their true king arrives.”
