Immortal Desire -
Chapter 9
“Pft!” Latina covered her mouth when she heard what the boy asked. She was sure that Sebastian wouldn’t be happy once he learned about it.
“Does Sebastian look funny? You’re trying not to laugh when I mentioned his name,” the lad said, painting his face with curiosity.
“Wahahahaha!” Latina burst into laughter. “H-he’s not, it’s just… hahaha, he’s not my father.”
The young fellow nodded his head. “He’s your lover then?” he asked, looking up to meet Latina’s brown eyes.
Latina, fascinated at the young boy’s eye glow, wasn’t able to utter a word for a sec as a response. “I could see the clear sky in your peeper,” she whispered.
“It’s deep-ocean blue,” the young boy corrected, flaunting his beautiful aqua eyes. “It’s rare for our kind to have this eye-color, don’t you think they’re lovely?”
“They’re wonderful,” Latina complimented, referring to the boy’s eye-color, not his exact eyes.
“Coming from you who have a pair of brown eyes, I don’t feel honored. But you have a unique pretty face and fascinating fragrance. Perhaps,” the boy paused and gestured Latina to bend down, which she did, “Are you a vampire?”
“Watch your words!” Sebastian’s voice roared from behind. As fast as the wind, he held the boy’s neck, strangling him.
“So… it’s Sebastian the thief,” the young boy said leisurely, not minding being choked. He tilted his head and stared at Latina who wasn’t moving an inch. The same goes for the rest of the people inside the store.
“She’s that one from the sacred cave, right? If I’m not mistaken, she should be MY mate,” the young fellow added, emphasizing the word ‘MY’.
Sebastian gritted his teeth. The rumors going around about ‘stealing’ Latina away from her ‘real mate’ had been the hot topic among the vampires in the empire. After meeting Latina’s supposed to be ‘mate’, he could only wish to kill him for their good.
“Oh, the great Seth Lachouves of the vampire knights is only a little guy who’s half shorter than whom he called his mate?” Sebastian mocked the younger, “How can you even satisfy her desire if you’re short and ‘young’?”
“Pft!” Letine covered her mouth when she heerd whet the boy esked. She wes sure thet Sebestien wouldn’t be heppy once he leerned ebout it.
“Does Sebestien look funny? You’re trying not to leugh when I mentioned his neme,” the led seid, peinting his fece with curiosity.

“Funny,” Seth smirked and escaped Sebastian’s grasp in a second. “You can have her as much as you want, but she won’t be able to bear your child. You’re not her mate, after all, so what if you’re both a true-b***d and I’m just a pure-b***d? You can lock her until you tire of waiting for an heir and when that time comes, I’ll be good enough to take her away from you.”
Sebastian’s silver-gray eyes changed to red, ready to cannibalize the haughty boy in front of him.
“What a letdown, you were born with silver eyes, yet they turned crimson when you’re pissed. You’re no different from the vampire slaves. Are you even a real true-b***d?” It was Seth’s turn to taunt the man. “Don’t worry about the beast tribe, I’m working on it. Take care of my mate though, I’m lending her to you for the meantime,” the boy added before vanishing.
“Don’t let the elders know about our encounter. If the old Lachouves finds out, no one could secure the borders,” Seth continued, hiding his presence in the air.
“Brat, wait until you come back. Latina will have my child then.” Sebastian heaved a sigh of relief when the boy’s presence disappeared. ‘Prince of air huh,’ he thought before dispelling the spell he cast earlier.
“Huh? Sebastian?” Latina asked, confused when the effects of the spell faded. “Where’s the boy?” she added.
Sebastian frowned, “Why are you asking for someone else when I’m here?” he walked towards the store owner. “I’ll buy all the dresses and shoes in her size,” Sebastian said while pointing at Latina.
“Send them to Dr. Millavo’s clinic. He’ll give you the payment once the goods arrive,” he instructed. The proprietor nodded his head, his eyes filled with silver and gold coins.
“You’re buying everything?” Latina asked using her soft voice. “I don’t need this much.”
“No, it’s better to have a lot, so we don’t have to go back here just to buy your clothes. Besides, I don’t wish others to get you what you want, just don’t worry about this small matter,” Sebastian said. “Pick one and change, we’ll have lunch when you’re done.” He turned his back and walked outside the store to wait for Latina.
“Sebastian,” Latina called a few minutes later. Wearing a dark blue dress, she walked towards Sebastian. She tied her long black hair in a bun, a few strands falling on the side of her face. Thanks to the store owner’s wife who fixed Latina’s hair. She looked not only like a noble lady but more like a princess.
“You’re gorgeous,” Sebastian complimented. His eyes were set on the lady who smiled at him.
“Thank you,” with a flushed face, Latina responded. Sebastian would always look at her with adoration, but he seldom commended her with words
.
“I know a place where we could eat great cuisines,” Sebastian linked Latina’s arm on his, “Stick with me.”
Latina giggled. Sebastian had never been too clingy before, but he just linked their arms now. “We need to pick up the lad from the clinic. He must be starving,” she said, referring to the fellow they met at the shop earlier.
“Can’t we have our time together?” Sebastian asked, sulking. After meeting Seth, he realized that he’s not the only one who’s eyeing the lady. “Let’s eat together first, don’t worry about the boy. Rupert will feed him,” Sebastian added.
‘If not, he’ll feed on him,’ Sebastian thought. He linked his fingers with hers and headed to one of his favorite restaurants in the capital.
“I could smell the food from that place!” Latina exclaimed, pointing at the building a few meters ahead.
“Do you like the smell? Their dishes are superb. Come, let’s fill your empty oven,” Sebastian said, smiling. “After all, I helped you digest your breakfast earlier and your stomach needs to be filled once again.”
