Legend Of The Moon Princess -
Episode 112
Estarossa’s POV
I was sitting in my bed alone. Melody wanted to take a short walk and her mates and the twins refused to leave her side for the time being. I was shocked at how it seemed so easy for Melody, Jasmine, Kai, and Riley to forgive me. I feel so bad for what I have done, and I know there will be people that will constantly remind me of my past evil deeds. I couldn’t forget them myself. I laid back and closed my eyes, thinking to myself how I can be a better person for not only myself but the family I almost lost completely. Sleep soon took over.
“Estarossa.” A soft and calming voice called out. I snapped my eyes open, but I was met with darkness instead of the clinic ceiling. I shot up and looked all around me. I then saw someone I thought I would never meet, even in my dreams. “Mother Selene?” I asked in a confused voice. She smiled and nodded. I bowed my head low. “I am so so sorry for what I have done. I-i-i-…” I started to stutter and trip over my own words until a calm and loving touch of someone running their hand through my hair stopped me from speaking any further.
“Shhh. Calm yourself. It is I who should be apologizing.” She said, sounding as if she was about to cry. I slowly looked up and saw tears in her eyes. “What?” I asked in a small voice. “I judged you before giving you a chance to prove me wrong. I didn’t pay any attention to one of my children and that allowed demons to influence him.” She said, kneeling down and cupping both my cheeks in her hands. “I blamed you for killing one of your sisters before you were even born and saw the dark arua in your soul. I thought it was your own evil intentions, but it was just Helios and mine foolish bickering with one another that led you to be tainted with hatred.” She said, tears falling down her pale face and turning into star dust as they hit the ground.
‘Killing one of my sisters? Does she mean…’ I started to think. “Mother and father told us that our little sister died because her body was not strong enough. Father also believed it was because of the family bloodline.” I said out loud, not really to anyone. “What do you mean because of your bloodline?” Mother Selene asked curiously. “It is that every girl in our family always gives birth to twins in their first pregnancy, one boy and one girl. Just like our ancestor Rhitta. After that they can have any kind of children they want… singles, triplets, or even more twins. But the first children are always twins. The eldest always being a boy and the second one always being a girl.” I explained. She seemed even more heartbroken. “Now I understand.” She said as she pulled me to her and hugged me tightly. “I am once again so sorry for the pain that you have had to live through.” She said as she kissed my head.
I was dumbfounded once again and could not find the right words to speak. I mean what do you say to the mother of all supernatural creatures and beast humans? She pulled back and placed her forehead on mine. “I can not change the past and take the pain away, but I can give you something to help you through.” She said, smiling down at me. “Huh?” I said before I was tackled from the side and away from the goddess. I g*****d but then immediately felt something wet all over my face. A whole lot of something wet. I cleaned the wet stuff off my eyes to see a silver wolf, similar to the one I had first turned into when I first took Melody’s eye. It’s right eye matching the mixed eye I had.
“HI!” He happily barked as he then went to lick me some more, wagging his tail so fast that it looked like it could fly off at any moment. I laugh and gently push his big gross tongue away from my face. “H-h-hi. Who are you?” I asked. He acted like a big overgrown puppy and laid down with his head in my lap. “My name is Salomon. I’m your wolf.” He said. He looked so happy and excited to be with me. My eyes went wide and I turned to Mother Selene. “M-m-my wolf?” I asked her. She smiled and nodded. “You awoke the beast genes inside your DNA when you performed that ritual. I just made a soul to go with your new wolf form. Salomon will help guide you through life just like any creature does for their human side.” She explained.
She knelt down and ran her fingers through Salomon’s silver fur. “At least you will have some company and never be alone ever again.” I felt the tears running down my cheeks as I wrapped my arms around Salomon’s neck and clung to him. ‘I’m not alone anymore.’ I thought in my head. ‘No you are not and you never will be again.’ Salomon replied in my head. I clung tighter to him as soft sobs left my lips. I looked up to Mother Selene and smiled, with tears still running down my face. “Thank you. Thank you so much.” I whispered. She smiled and waved her hand. I felt sleep take over once again.
Opening my eyes, that still had some tears in them, I saw the ceiling of the clinic. ‘Was that just a good dream?’ I thought to myself. ‘Nope.’ I heard a familiar voice say in my head. ‘I am truly here, and you’re stuck with me for life dude.’ Salomon jokes. I smiled as a few tears fell. Melody and the others are just now walking back into the room. Melody’s eyes locked with mine. “Estarossa, what is wrong? What happened?” She asked. I gave a small laugh and looked at her. “I got something I never thought I would ever get.” I said. They all looked at me confused. “I got my own wolf from Mother Selene.” I said. Melody’s eyes opened wide for a second and then she squealed and ran over to me. He wrapped me in a tight hug. “That is wonderful. Oh, what is his name?” She asked excitedly. “His name is Salomon.” I said, feeling him stir in my head.
Selene’s POV
After sending Estarossa and Salomon back to the mortal world, I cried some more as I wrapped my arms around myself. For years I have always made the inner soul for all of my children, yet this showed how little I actually paid attention to some. I had never noticed the pattern of all the daughters in my brother’s mortal bloodline always having twins first. Jasmine and Estarossa’s parents often prayed to me for hope that all their children would survive and I thought nothing of it. Most parents prayed for that, but theirs was because they were about to have triplets for their first set of children and that had never happened before.
I turned around to see the fates standing behind me. To mortals they were just seen as three old blind women, but they had a single eyeball that they each shared. Gross as it sounds it was something no one really thought about. The eyeball was known in the goddess realm as the ‘Fates Eye.’ In the hands of the fates it could reveal the past, present, and future… but the fates only spoke in riddles. Never revealing the whole truth. “The truth has finally come into light.” one had said. I nodded. “When I came to you all those years ago, you were never talking about Helios were you?” I asked them.
“Half yes, half no.” The second fate said. “We see everything, but most never like what we say.” The third fate said. “Even for us, who can see all the possible futures for a mortal’s life within seconds, we have to let the mortals’ choices forge their path.” The first fate said. “Our main job is cutting the threads of mortals when it is their time. How their end is met no one has control over.” The second fate said.
“I will admit I was foolish. I thought I was protecting my children from a threat, but it only pushed him onto that path.” I said to them. “Even us immortals can make mistakes, my dear.” The second fate said. “You only thought the dark aura meant he would become the same as what William had become, but William only turned because of dark magic.” The third fate said. I nodded. “Next time, I will not jump to the worst possible conclusion. I will give my children an equal chance to choose their paths.” I said. “Just remember, my dear. There is no light without shadows and there is no shadows without the light. There is good and evil in everything and everyone.” The fates said, before the three of them disappeared. ‘I wonder what is next in my little moon princess’ future.’ I thought to myself as I walked away to go spend time with my own siblings.
