Jasmine’s POV

I walked up to their bodies. It didn’t look like anything had changed. I knelt down and placed my hand on Estarossa’s neck. His skin was warmer and his pulse was stronger than it had been the last few days. It made me hopeful. I placed my hand on his cheek as I looked down into his face. As if he was responding to my touch, Estarossa’s eyes started to open. He blinked a few times because of the bright sunlight, his right eye was blue with a tint of red and purple mixed into it. They may be different physically, but his old sparkle was back.

He seemed surprised once his eyes locked with mine. “Jasmine?” he croaked out. I couldn’t help it and I jumped into my brother’s arms giving him a big hug. “You scare me like that again and I will kill you, you big dumb a*s.” I said, tears falling freely from my eyes. I was not a big strong alpha right now. I was just a sister that missed her brother. I felt Estarossa’s arms move as he returned the embrace with a small laugh. “I’ll remember that before I do something stupid again. I missed you, little sis.” He whispered in my ear as he squeezed me a little bit tighter to his body.

Melody’s POV

I woke up and saw a bright light. I quickly shut my eyes again. Then I saw the light get dimmer on my eyelids. I squinted and opened them again. Drake was standing over me, blocking out the bright light, while Luca and Jeremiah were on either side of me. “You had us so worried little mate.” Drake growled. “And you are in big trouble.” Luca added as he helped me sit up. Jeremiah just stared at me. “What is wrong, Jeremiah?” I asked. He shook his head. “Your eye has turned purple.” he said, as he gently caressed the right side of my face.

Then I remembered that Artemis’ eye was purple as well. I looked at Estarossa. His eye was a mixture of blue, red, and a bit of purple. “Estarossa, is this a side effect of the spell you did?” I asked him. He turned to me. “I think so. The ritual forever mixed our DNA. You now have beast human b***d in you while I have werewolf b***d in me.” He explained. “Will having beast human b***d change anything for me?” I asked. He shrugged. “I’m not sure. Only time will tell. I mean the most I can think of is maybe your children may shift earlier than 18, or they may have some beast human traits.” He said while rubbing the back of his neck.

‘Well I won’t mind that and I think we look sexy with the purple eye.’ Artemis spoke up. I giggled and rolled my eyes at her. I didn’t really care one way or the other. As long as I could use my eyes to see not only my sexy mates, but to also see my future children grow up. I am also glad that I won’t have to go through that pain again. I rather get pumped full of wolfsbane than endure that pain again.

I then noticed two larger shadows hovering over all of us. I turned to see a blue greenish colored wolf and a golden dragon. I was dumb founded. They were beautiful and very majestic looking. “Oh that is Kai and Riley.” Jeremiah said. “Wait… WHAT!” I shouted. My mates and everyone started laughing at me. “Ok, I need answers. What did I miss after the fight?” I asked.

Back in the clinic…

After they got us back to the clinic and in bed. Jasmine explained everything to both me and Estarossa. Then I explained all that went on in the sword. To say we all had missed a lot was an understatement. “Wait, so you guys are not only the descendants of the sun, Helios, but he was the one that helped force the twins to shift into their beast forms this early and bring us out of the sword?” I asked to clarify. Even though I figured out about the descendants part during the fight, I never thought they could actually summon him. “Yup, but we still can’t find our mates until we turn 18.” Kai said. He seemed more relaxed now that he can shift. His features changed a bit as well. His red hair had a golden tint that could be seen in the sunlight. His once red eyes were now a deep gold color. “But Ember and Titan can help us control our graces much more than before.” Riley said. Her pink hair with light blue and green streaks going through it. Her eyes were very beautiful. It looked like they were split in half, with the top color blue and the bottom color green. Though it bended nicely in the middle where the colors met.

“I didn’t think you could summon a god.” I muttered. “It takes a lot of magic. I guess that’s why the gods can’t interact physically in your world like they could here. The magic in Edolas is more prominent and within everything from the soil to the creatures that walk on it.” Jasmine said. I shrugged and laid back in my bed. “Well I am glad to be out of that sword, Estarossa and Jasmine have started to make up, but honestly I am ready to go home.” I said with a tired smile. Jasmine laughed and nodded. “After you rest for a few days, we can head back to your world, but what do you want done with Fraudrin?” She asked. I had to think for a hot second before I remembered him. ‘Oh, that’s right. Jasmine said that I decided his punishment.’ I thought. “For now just lock him up. When I am ready, then I will see if he will change. If not then he is dead.” I answered her. She smiles and nods before walking out of the room.

Estarossa was still looking down. “Melody, I am sorry for the pain I caused you.” He said. This is like his tenth time apologizing. My mates glared and growled at him. I growled at them. “Knock it off you dorks. I told you already that he was being played.” I said, then I turned to Estarossa. “And you, how many times do I have to tell you that ‘I FORGIVE YOU!’ before you get that through your thick head?” I asked, starting to get a little pissed off that he is always apologizing. “She is right, uncle. We all understand that you are sorry, but you honestly can’t blame yourself forever. You always blaming yourself will just lead to you being stuck in the past. We forgive and forget, but others might take longer.” Kai said, looking over at Estarossa. Estarossa got a little teary eyed when Kai called him ‘uncle’. “Besides we all know that the physical wounds would heal quicker. It is the emotional ones that will take time. Just give yourself time to heal and become a better person.” Riley said, walking over to Estarossa’s side and giving him a small hug.

Estarossa seemed like he couldn’t hold it in anymore and clung to Riley as he softly cried. ‘Such wise words coming from young kids.’ Artemis said. ‘Indeed. I wonder what the future holds for all of us now that the storm has passed.’ I replied. ‘I don’t know, but enjoy the peace while it lasts. Just because we survived one, doesn’t mean that the next one will be easy.’ Artemis said. I was sure whatever came our way we could overcome it together.
