A few weeks after my weekend getaway with Luca, I had to travel to Russia with Jeremiah. We had to attend some kind of fashion competition or show. I never really understood fashion like some people do, but to each their own. Though I was excited to find out that the russian ballet was going to perform in the same town. I was not so sure we would be able to make the viewing since we were there for work and the times were so close together.

“Why don’t you just ask Jeremiah if there will be time? It would be the first time you get to see the ballet live, and they are doing one of your favorite fairy tales.” Star said as she handed me the files I needed for work. “As much as I would love to go see ‘The Nutcracker’ performed live by the famous russian ballet… I can’t. Jeremiah is still a bit behind on work.” I said as I finished packing everything I needed for the trip. Just in time too, Drake had came into our room to grab my bags to take them to the car for me. My mates were all such sweet gentlemen.

“All set, little mate?” Drake asked with a k**s to my temple. “Yes. Thank you, Snuggles.” I said with a smile. Drake pulls me to him with a growl. “Snuggles?” He asks with a smirk. I smiled as I wrapped my arms around him. “Yes, you are my cuddly teddy bear that loves to snuggle close.” I said, kissing the tip of his nose. His grip tightened around my waist as he lowered his head to my ear. “That name better be used only in our new home.” He lightly growled. I shivered and leaned into him. Our new pack house was almost complete. It was set up in the high mountains of North Dakota surrounded by wild green forest and nearby rivers running on both sides of our land. My mates have not let me see the design yet so I can’t wait to see it when it is completely done. “Uh, you two do know I am still here.” Star said teasingly.

I pulled back enough to look at her. “Then go find your own bear to snuggle with.” I said with a raised eyebrow. She laughed and crossed her arms. “Because if I leave now, your snuggly teddy bear will have his way with you and make you miss your flight.” She said, while turning to zip up my last bag. “Besides, I will have the next few weeks off to be with my sexy bear.” She said with a suggestive tone.

I tilted my head in confusion. “Why is that?” I asked. Star stopped what she was doing and turned to look at me. She looked at me as if I had just asked about going swimming in the cold arctic waters. “Um, because of what season is coming up.” She said, looking at me as if I would get the hint to her words or something. “I still don’t get it.” I said. Drake looked between the two of us, clearly just as lost as I was. “MATING SEASON, MEL!! For the next month or two is when most females over the age of 16 go into heat. It starts next week.” Star said.

I snapped my head to her. “Are you serious!? Urgh I hate that season.” I said, hiding my face in Drake’s chest. “Why baby?” Drake asked as he rubbed my back. “Because the pain of being in heat hurts like hell.” I g***n. “For werewolves, when a female is in heat it is the best time for her mate, or mates, to get her pregnant. But for those that don’t have their mates yet, it can be very painful.” Star explained. “How painful?” Drake asked, tightening his arms around my body. “Well our bodies will feel as if we are on fire and some females get bad cramps. I guess it would be what human girls call period cramps, but it is ten times the pain for us. Most likely since the mating season is only once a year instead of once a month like a period.” Star said.

“Why didn’t you remind me sooner?” I asked her. She knows how much I hate this season. Aunt Sabrina had to put me to sleep last year because the pain was so intense. “Because I didn’t think you would actually forget about it. It is the one time of the year you hate with a passion and I thought you had told Jeremiah and Drake about it.” Star countered. I rolled my eyes. “Yeah I guess it is my fault too. I will check the calendar and see about taking some time off myself.” I know I will have my mates this time to get me through it, but I don’t wanna keep them from their work anymore than I have already with everything else that has happened in the last few months.

“What is the best way to help her through her heat?” Drake asks. Star smirked at me and then looked back at Drake. “f**k her brians out.” She said with a straight face. “STAR!” I yelled, feeling my cheeks heat up. “What, it is the truth. Having lots and lots of s*x is the best way to help with a female’s heat. It is usually best when done with your mates, because unmated wolves can go a tad insane when they smell a female in heat.” She said, not caring that she is embarrassing me in front of one out of my three mates. Drake put his fingers under my chin and made me look up at him. “You will let us know when your heat hits you, right baby?” He asked, but going off his eyes I can tell it was more of a demand than a request. “Yes, I will.” I mumbled. Drake kissed my head and took my bags to the car while I glared at Star.

After a few hours Jeremiah and I were on the plane heading for Russia. He used the plane ride to ask me all about my heat cycle and how he, Luca, and Drake could help. I saw his eyes flash a bright red when I told him that a female’s heat was the perfect way to get pregnant from their mate/mates. “You know, love, you becoming round with our children is something we all want. Isn’t that something you would like too?” He asked. A sneaky smirk of his sexy lips and an eyebrow arched.

I felt my cheeks heat up. “Of course I want kids, I just don’t like the pain the heat cycle brings.” I said. Honestly it is the only thing I hate about being female. Jeremiah pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around me. “Well if what Star told Drake is true, then we can kill two birds with one stone. You won’t be in pain and we get a better chance of getting some children.” He said as he nuzzled into my neck. Artemis purred loudly. ‘What is with the purring, girl?’ I asked her. ‘Oh come on. What wolf doesn’t want pups from their mate?’ She answered. ‘Okay, point taken.’ I said. Maybe this mating season won’t be like it was in the past.

Once we landed and Jeremiah checked us into our suite, then we went to the fashion house where the competition was being held. He mostly needed to make sure all the designers competing were following all the rules and the judges were unbiased of what they were gonna be seeing during the show. I even met one of Jeremiah’s old friends, Justin Blanc. He was a very passionate person about his image in the fashion world. Jeremiah helped him get into this business years ago. Justin started taking my measurements as soon as we met, and when he found out that I was with Jeremiah he wanted to design my wedding dress.

Though Justin looked like he was about to burst a b***d vessel when we told him that we weren’t engaged. He started giving Jeremiah a lecture about how he should put a ring on my finger and do it soon. I had to giggle when Jeremiah’s face started to turn red. We stayed for the show, but it was not something I really understood. There were a few designs I liked, but most of them were too girly for me.

After the show was completed, Jeremiah announced the winners and handed out their prizes. I was happy to see that Justin won first place. Once we finished all the formalities and got back into the car, Jeremiah put a blind fold over my eyes. “What the-” I said. “No peeking, moye serdtse” (my heart) he said. I lightly growled and I felt him k**s my neck. “You didn’t think that I wouldn’t take this chance to have you all to myself while we were away.” He asked. “No but I wasn’t expecting it was all.” I said. “You should learn to expect the unexpected, especially after the last few months we have had.” He said, lifting my hand and kissing my palm and wrist.

After a while, the car came to a stop. Jeremiah helped me out of the car. “When can I take this blindfold off?” I asked. I hated not being able to see anything, even though I loved surprises. “Almost, just wait a little more baby.” He said sweetly. He led me for about ten minutes and then I was seated in a soft chair. Jeremiah took off my blindfold and it was still dark, then gentle music started as a spotlight came on. I gasped as I saw the opening of ‘The Nutcracker’ being performed by the Russian ballet. I turned to see Jeremiah sitting next to me with a smile on his face.

“How?” I asked. Jeremiah’s smile grew. “I overheard Star talking about it with Jessie when she was doing the calendar for this event. So I called ahead to ask the director to do a private performance for us to enjoy while we had dinner together.” He said, lifting the silver serving dome on the other side of him. There were cubes of different cheeses with a variety of meats and fruits. “You are so sweet. I don’t know how in the whole wide world I got blessed with you and the others.” I said, kissing his cheek. “Trust me baby… Drake, Luca, and I are the real lucky ones to have such a strong and caring mate that not only brings us together, but our kingdoms. Maybe our children or grandchildren will bring even more creatures together, or even make a world where we don’t have to hide from humans. The possibilities are endless for the future.” He said. “True, but I am going to enjoy the present time with you, Luca, and Drake for now. Make sure nothing else pops up.” I said with a smile.

Jeremiah and I enjoyed the performance and the food. It was so much better seeing their shows in person and not just on the tv. After the performance, we went back to the suite. Jeremiah started taking my clothes off as soon as the door closed behind us. “You know with how you three are, I would not be surprised if I was with child before my heat starts.” I said with a smirk. “That is the goal, my love. You will need to have many children for us.” He said as he licked my mark. I shivered and arched my back rubbing myself on him. “Let me see if I can’t put a young one in you tonight.” He said as he lifted me up and wrapped my legs around his waist. “It is not often I have you all to myself tonight, so I am going to make the most of it.” He said as he carried me to our room. Where he made good on his efforts to put a child in me.

I am not sure how to end this book yet, but I will be making another one for Melody’s children, Kai, and Riley. While I am working on finishing this book, I have started to write a new book for the Love Story Contest. The new book is called, ‘The Lost Princess’ Second Chance.’ I will be trying to write them both at the same time. Once ‘Legend of the Moon Princess’ is finished, I will be picking back up on working on ‘Royals Underground’.
