Episode 52

Melody’s POV

I wake up from the sunlight pouring in through the window. I noticed that I was tangled in the arms of Luca and Drake. My back pressed up against Luca’s chest and I was chest to chest with Drake in the front. I tried to get untangled so I could use the bathroom and get my bag ready. We were leaving for the Royal Moon pack today. Drake stirred but stayed asleep, while Luca just seemed to be completely passed out. I scooted to the foot of the bed and stood up, only to fall forward. I braced myself to hit the floor, but strong arms wrapped around my waist. “Logan warned me that you may be a little sore today, moye serdtse.” (my heart) Jeremiah’s voice filled my ears with a little chuckle behind his words.

I turned my head to glare at him. “You three and your other halves made it so I can’t walk right.” I growled out at him. Jeremiah chuckled some more. “That just means that we did our jobs right last night.” He said as he licked my neck. “May I, moye serdtse?” (my heart) He asked with pleading eyes. I internally g*****d. I couldn’t refuse him when he wanted or needed b***d, but I had to use the bathroom badly. “You can drink some of my b***d after I finish my business in the bathroom.” I said, looking away from him. Jeremiah kissed my neck as I felt his lips curved into a smile. “Then allow me to assist you, my queen.” He said.

The next thing I knew I was up against Jeremiah’s lean chest. He had picked me up and was carrying me bridal style to the bathroom. “I’m not a queen yet, smart a*s.” I mumbled. He laughed. “Oh my sweet little mate. You became my queen the very moment I marked you as mine. Vampires all around the world will know who you are just by looking at you now.” He said as he set me down in front of the toilet. “Ok, shoo for now. You are not watching me pee.” I told him. He smirked but left the room, closing the door. I did my morning routine, even though it was a struggle standing in front of the sink to wash my hands, face, and brush my teeth. ‘Damn it Artemis. Were you so lost in them that you went overboard last night?’ I asked her.

She sighed like she was still thinking about the wonderful time we had. ‘Oh don’t be mad. You would have done the same things I did if you were in control. Let us just say that our mates know how to put a girl to bed.’ I rolled my eyes at her statement. ‘Yeah and make it so she can’t walk in the morning. So glad we don’t have training today since we are leaving to go to Royal Moon.’ I said back. “Ok Jeremiah. I need some help again.” I yelled out. Jeremiah opened the door with a big grin on his face. “And what is so funny?” I asked. “I guess I should let you know baby, but I heard you and Artemis talking about us. She seemed pleased with Logan and the others.” He said with a cocky smirk and raised brow. I glared at him. “How the hell could you hear us? We don’t have the bracelets on, and don’t let last night go to your head. I can’t walk straight because of you three, so the three of you are on my s**t list today.” I sulked.

Jeremiah still had a smirk on his face. “I am not 100% sure how I could hear Artemis and you talking through your link. It could be the alpha bond, but I don’t think you can stay mad at us for long.” I glared at him as he picked me up bridal style again. “Even if that is true, I sure as hell can try.” I crossed my arms over my chest instead of wrapping them around his neck. When he carried me back to the bed I noticed that Drake and Luca were now awake. “Good morning baby girl.” Luca said with a satisfied smirk on his face. “Morning honey.” Drake said while scratching his head. They were both still shirtless and I hated how it affected me. “Told ya.” Jeremiah whispered in my ear. Then he dropped light k****s down my neck until he found a spot he liked and sunk his fangs into my skin.

It is not the first time he has fed off of my b***d, but it always sends waves of heat and pleasure throughout my body. Turns out that vampires only drink b***d from their mate when they find them or take a chosen mate. Other than a mate they get b***d from b***d banks that have paid humans to donate b***d. They can eat normal food when they are younger, but once they get their inner vampire they switch to b***d. Jeremiah pulls back a bit and licks my neck to heal the wound. “Still mad love?” He asked with a smirk. I growled. Half in pleasure and half in irritation. I stick my tongue at him and he just grins.

“Let’s go feed our baby.” Luca said, getting up and grabbing a shirt. Drake pulls on a shirt of his own and they snaches me from Jeremiah. “I’ll carry our princess down.” He said and nuzzled me. I rolled my eyes and giggled. We got downstairs and everyone was at breakfast. “Good morning Melody.” Kai and RIley said in unison. “Good morning.” I smiled. Drake sits down with me on his lap and Jeremiah and Luca sit on either side. “Riley, Jeremiah said that he could hear me when I was talking to Artemis, but we didn’t have the bracelets on.” If anyone would know it would be the twins. They wanted us to do this ‘alpha bond’ thing. “Oh that is normal. The alpha bond has done its job as completely binding the four of you and your inner souls together.” Riley answered like it was normal. “Yes. Your three mates are connected to you, so right now they are only able to hear your thoughts and Artemis’s thoughts. Once they and their inner souls can fully trust each other, then they will be able to hear each other’s thoughts.” Kai added.

“Ok so is this something like the mind link, or am I stuck with no privacy from now on?” I asked. Riley giggled. “Yes it is just like the mind link. If you want to mind link someone without your mates knowledge, then you simply enforce a metal block specifically to your mates before you open the link to who you want to talk to.” I nod. “And it is the same way with your mates. If they want to plan a surprise for you, then they would have to do the same.” Kai added again. I nodded and started to nuzzle the area on my neck where his mark was. “Riley, Kai. How come Melody’s marks turned into tattoo like marks with the names of her mates and their inner souls? I have only seen mate marks remaining as silvery bite marks.” Mama asked.

“That is because of her gift. Now that the alpha bond is complete, and she is given the title of queen in each traditional way of her mates. That is how mates marks will look.” Kai answered. “Yes. It is a new era for the mating bond. Before you were mated with your own kind, with the exception of a special human or rarity of a witch/warlock every now and then. Now the mate bond has been extending to vampires and werebears.” Riley said. “Wow. That is pretty neat.” Star said. Jessie was sitting next to her and staring at her neck. I internally laughed, but I felt bad for him. Star was kind but she could be the most stubborn person in the world.

I leaned forward and felt a small jolt of pain race through my lower back. I winced and leaned backwards into Drake’s chest. “You ok Melody?” The twins asked in unison. “Yeah, just a little sore from last night. I can’t walk on my own right now either.” I grumbled out in a bitter tone. Mama laughed as my brother and fathers g*****d and shook their heads. Riley smiled and came over to me. “Here.” She said, as she handed me a food pill. I popped it into my mouth and Riley placed her hands on my h**s gently. “Ánemoi epoúlosis, anakoufízoun tin éntasi.” (Winds of healing, relieve the tension.) As her palms admitted a pale green glow. I felt the soreness and tight joints in my muscles go back to normal. “Wow, thank you Riley.” She smiles.

Hours later…

After the drive to Royal Moon, we were finally here. There were a good handful of us here. It was mama, my dads, my brothers, the twins, my mates, and me. Star, Jessie, and Tucker decided to stay behind in Raven Moon. I think Tucker stayed behind because he didn’t want to meet Jayde’s parents. After having rejected her and killed her, I couldn’t blame him. Carter, Zezar, and Tobias went to Royal Moon a day earlier than we did so they could help prepare for the ceremony. As soon as we all get out of the cars, Luca gets tackled to the ground by a couple of people. “Welcome home big brother!” Two voices cried out in unison. Luca laughed and sat up with two people, they looked to be around my age, were on top of him. One girl and one boy. “Melody, these are my younger siblings. Isabella and Franklin. Though we call them ‘Bella’ and ‘Frankie’ for nicknames.” Luca said. I smiled at them. “Hello.” Bella looked like a younger version of their mother. With sandy blonde hair and light brown eyes, and Frankie looked like their father with dark brown, almost black, hair and dark brown eyes. Bella immediately jumped up and got in my face. “Oh, my goddess, your Luca’s mate? You are so beautiful. How did my brother snag a girl like you?” She was speaking a mile a minute until Frankie covered her mouth with his hand.

“Sorry, she becomes a chatterbox when she gets overly excited.” He said. I laughed. “It is ok. I am sure I would be doing the same thing for when my brother actually finds their mate or mates.” I said, honestly. “Well, mom and dad are in the office making some final preparations for the ceremony. Shall we go join them?” Frankie asked, while still covering Bella’s mouth. We all nod and Frankie lets his sister go and we follow them. We got to the office and knocked. “Enter.” I heard Luca’s father answer. We all filed in. Luca’s father and mother were looking at some paperwork. “Oh welcome home son. Glad to hear that not only had you regained your wolf, but found your mate.” King Alfred said with a smile.

Luca’s mother, Queen Lisa, smiled towards me and then looked closer at my neck. “Melody, you have three mating marks?” She said in shock. King Alfred snapped his gaze to my neck as well. “Yes ma’am. I am not only mated to Luca, but to the Kings of the vampires and werebears… Jeremiah Anisworth and Drake Dolton.” I introduce my other mates to Luca’s parents. “That is impossible. Only identical multiples that are of b***d relations share a mate, and to be mated to not only a werebear but a leech?!” King Alfred growled out the word ‘leech’ as if it left a bad taste in his mouth. Jeremiah showed no emotion on his face. Then I remembered what he said before. ‘When you live as long as I have you learn that small problems like wolves hating vampires just becomes a small hill in your path. You learn to just ignore it.’

Luca stepped in front of Jeremiah. “There is a reason for this father and Jeremiah is not bad for an old man.” Luca shot him a challenging smirk. Jeremiah chuckled. “Careful pup, or this old man will put you in time out.” Jeremiah said in a cool and calm voice. Drake and my brothers laughed at their playful banter. “Well then would you care to explain the situation?” Queen Lisa asked. “Gladly ma’am.” I said. Then we explained the whole story of me being the Moon Princess from the old legend and even explained that Riley and Kai were our protectors, or guardians, as they call themselves most of the time.

King Alfred burst out laughing. “I can see the Moon princess legend possibly coming true, but do you honestly expect me to believe that these two young ones are your ‘protectors’? They are barely out of their training pants.” He scoffed. “Father, it is not wise to doubt them. Riley herself has brought Drake to his knees once.” Luca tried to warn him. I saw Riley’s eyebrow start to twitch. She was trying to remain proper and composed, but I could tell that when people judge her or her brother’s ability to protect us is the quickest way to piss her off. “Oh really? King Drake must have been in a playing mood to humor the child.” King Alfred sneered, still not convinced. A breeze of wind filled the air and before anyone could react, or even blink, Riley was glaring at King Alfred in the eye with her sword drawn and held to his throat. “Never question the duty of a guardian. I may only be a ‘child’ to you, but I am sure I have taken more lives than you have since you became the king.” Riley said in a cold and chilling voice. Her voice was more cold than when she yelled at us to not underestimate her because she was young. “If I wanted to I could slaughter this whole pack before any of your warriors would realise there was a threat here. Trust me when I say this ‘your majesty’… You do not want me as your enemy.” She said, before she moved away and sheathed her sword. I looked back at King Alfred and he placed his hand to his throat and gulped. ‘He will definitely think twice before crossing Riley again.’ I said to Luca. He nervously chuckled in my mind. ‘You think?’ He said sarcastically.
