Episode 74

Jasmine’s POV

I watched as two strikingly handsome young werewolves were holding my children as if they were the most precious things in the world. The scent of the ocean and cedarwood mixed with winter pine and vanilla filled my nose. ‘Mates.’ My dragon, Dalinda, and wolf, Kira, purred in my mind. ‘What?!’ I panicked a bit in my head but made sure to keep a cool exterior. I am an alpha, I do not show weakness of any kind. ‘That can not be. Beast humans never get a second chance mate.’ I told them. They growled at me. ‘We know what we smell.’ Dalinda snapped. ‘Yes, Jasmine. Maybe there has never been one before because most beast humans either go insane or die from the heartbreak of losing their mate.’ Kira tried to reason.

I was still not sold on if I should trust them or not. My last mate tried to kill my children because I refused to abandon them. Kai and Riley are mine, I would die before I see them in any pain. Kai lifted his head from one of my mate’s shoulders and Riley opened her eyes. They wiggled out of the arms of both of my mates and ran to me. I dropped down to one knee so I was slightly looking up to their faces. They tackled me in a hug and I gripped them tightly in an embrace of my own. “Mother!” They cried out in unison. Kira howled for joy in my head, while Dalinda let out a massive roar. They were both super happy to have our children back in our arms. I nuzzled my pups and smiled as they laughed and giggled.

I heard someone clearing their throat. I look up and see my brother Parker, my twin betas, and my healer Ren smiling at me while everyone else has skeptical looks on their faces. Grace and Robin were still in the forest. I giant is not the stealthy option. I get up with an arm around both Kai and Riley. ‘Grace has the potion taken effect yet?’ I mind link her. ‘Yes, alpha. Robin and I are on our way towards you now.’ She replied. Riley and Kai grabbed my hands and pulled me to a beautiful girl with long silver hair and bright blue eyes. “Mother this is our lady and mistress, and the moon princess, Melody Jackman.” Riley said.

I bowed to the young princess. “It is an honor to meet you, your highness. I am Jasmine Dragneel. I am the alpha of my clan and the mother of these two little warriors.” When I left my head I can see she is trying to figure out if I can or not. A lot of people wonder about that. I heard a growl and looked over to see a male holding Ren closely to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and shoved his face in the crook of her neck. “Mine.” he growled. Parker was chuckling, Kayla and Natalia were smiling while holding onto a male that was squeezed between them, Riley was jumping up and down in pure joy, while Kai gave a simple smile. Ren’s eyes were glowing a bright blue which told me that she had found her mate.

I bowed to the young princess. “It is an honor to meet you, your highness. I am Jasmine Dragneel. Her mate began to k**s her neck and she squeaked. We laughed because Ren only squeaks when someone hits one of her ticklish spots. She snapped her fingers and drenched both of them in cold water. He jumped back and shivered. “Down boy, or I’ll give you another cold shower.” She warned with a pink face. Ren was a special siren. Usually, sirens could only use their gifts if they were in the water, but Ren can use them in or out of the water, we called it water bending. She can even extract the water out of living things like plants and even animals. She could even turn another creature into a puppet by using the water within their bodies as her strings. That technique was called b***d bending and it always made her feel sick when she had to use it. She twirled her hand around and dried off her mate before coming over and standing by me. My clan was loyal and understanding. Mates were very important to us, but some things were much bigger than one person. Mate or not.

Then Robin and Grace came over. The potion Parker made worked great. Grace was now about 5’9 instead of her giant height of thirty feet. Her big battle hammer, called Gideon, clothes had even shrunk. I turned to the princess. “We will explain everything, but the original ceremony should proceed first.” I said with a bow. A tall man with black hair bowed to me. “Thank you. I am Alpha Raphael and I was just about to hand over the title to my son. You are free to witness if you would like.” He said. I bowed to him. “I would be delighted to. Would I also be allowed to give the new alpha a special blessing from my homeland?” I asked. It was rude to attend such a ceremony without a proper gift, but all I could do was give this young alpha a traditional alpha’s blessing. There was no magic other than the blessing, but for one strong alpha to acknowledge you as an equal will boost the confidence of the new alpha and the wolf inside.

“Yes. Of course, that would be fine. Nicholas.” Alpha Raphael called and a young man came forward. He seemed so much like his father. Parker and the others stepped back, while Kai and Riley went and stood by Princess Melody. I stepped forward to the young man. “What is your name?” I asked. “Nicholas Colton, Alpha.” He said with a slight bow. I smiled. I walked around him as if I was inspecting him. I heard a couple of growls, but ignored them. Mates or not, this was something I chose to do for my kind host and no male ego is gonna change my mind. I placed my right hand on his forehead and my leftover his heart. His heart rate was beating rapidly. He and his wolf must be nervous to be around someone with such an aura like mine. “Calm yourself young alpha. This is just a blessing that my old master gave me when I became alpha, now I give it to others that take on the role of protecting others.” I said in a gentle voice. He nodded.

Once I felt him relax and his heart rate slowed a bit. I started my blessing. “I, Jasmine Dragneel, Alpha of the Ember Cyclone Clan. Grant Alpha Nicholas Colton an alpha’s blessing under the watchful gaze of Mother Selene and see you as an equal. May you rule justly and protect the innocent within your care.” I said and then removed my hands. Nicholas’s eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning. I smiled back and moved aside so they could get their own ceremony done before I spoke to the Princess and everyone else about Estarossa and what we were going to do about him.
