Episode 90

Melody’s POV

In the morning all the ranked members and families were out in front of the pack house. Parker and Jasmine are putting the finishing touches on a big circle thing they made using sand mixed with salt and different colored crystals. “There. The magic circle is done.” Parker said as he placed the last crystal in it’s spot. “Alright. Kai you stand in the area surrounded by the orange and yellow crystals. Riley You stand in the area surrounded by the white and green crystals.” Jasmine said, as she moved into the area that was surrounded by red and blue crystals. Kai and Riley moved to their spots. Then the three of them transformed into their hybrid forms.

Kai and Jasmine’s wings spread out wide as if to show them off. All their ears were perked up as if they were at attention. Parker stepped outside the whole magic circle. “Alright. Now summon your familiars.” Parker instructed. Jasmine, Kai, and Riley closed their eyes and quick as a flash. Their familiars appeared around them. Calcifer was next to Jasmine. He was bigger than the last time I saw him. He was about as big as a regular size horse now. He also had three tails instead of one. Kai and Riley’s familiars, Aiden and Leah, were the same as last time.

“Now recite the spell I told you this morning.” Parker said. They nodded. Aiden perched himself on Kai. with a leg on each shoulder and raise his wings up. Leah stood tall behind Riley and wrapped her tail around one of Riley’s legs. Calcifer wrapped a tail around Jasmine’s waist. Then in unison… Kai, Riley, and Jasmine started casting the spell that Parker had found last night. “Me ti dýnami mésa mou, sfrágise to kakó kai to kakó.” (With the power within me, seal away the evil and wicked.) Their voices boomed, as their aura filled the air. Jasmine’s eyes turned completely blue. While Kai’s eyes turned red and Riley’s eyes turned green.

I felt the air become thick with the pressure of their magic. The wind and water began to swirl around Riley. While different colored fire and lighting was swirling around Jasmine and Kai. Blue flames and black lightning were dancing around Jasmine, and gold flames with red lighting were swirling around Kai. Then the magic around them started to take the form of animals.

The lighting and flames around Kai turned into a golden dragon that began to fly in a circle above the three of them. Its body moved up and down as if it was dancing in the sky. The wind and water around Riley turned into a beautiful crystal ice wolf that ran across the sky with speed and grace. It joined the dragon in it’s dance. Jumping and running around the dragon’s body. The black lighting took the form on a fiercum large black wolf, and the blue flames turned into a majestic blue dragon. I was mesmerized as I watched them join the other two in their dance.

They dance together in the sky and then all at once charged to the center of the magic circle. They hit the ground with a thunderous clap that shook everything around the circle. Everyone, including me, fell backwards onto our butts. I sat up. I saw that their familiars seemed tired as the lights of the crystals died down. Slowly they faded away as if they were just illusions. Kai and Riley dropped to their hands and knees panting and gasping for breath. Jasmine seemed to be a bit wabbaly, but managed to stay standing. She was also breathing hard.

Parker pulled out a few vials and tossed one to Aunt Shianna and one to Jasmine. Jasmine caught it and down it quickly. Shianna took her vial over to Riley and Parker took the third one over to Kai. Parker and Aunt Shianna had to get Riley and Kai to control their breathing before they drank the potion, so it took a few minutes. “The seal is successful. The Demon Realm is temporarily cut off from entering this world.” Parker siad, as the three of them rested a bit. “What is the bad news?” Jasmine asked.

Parker looked up at her. “It seems that we had weakened the seal over in Edolas, so the demons that we face there will be way worse than then if we were to face them here.” Parker said. Jasmine just nodded. “How would they be worse?” EJ asked “Think of it like this… A werewolf is at its most powerful when healthy and trained properly right?” Parker asked. “Yes.” My brothers and I answered in unison. “That is the same with demons when they are in an environment with plenty of magic to absorb.” Parker started to explain. “The magic here is pure and untouched, but compared to the magic in Edolas it is like comparing a mouse to an elephant.” Riley finished, seeming a bit annoyed and stretching her body out.

“Riley, just because you are weak and sore from the after effects of the sealing spell, that does not give you the right to cut off your uncle while he is explaining to Melody and the others.” Jasmine scolded. Riley looked down. “Yes mother. I am sorry Uncle Parker.” Riley said as she bowed her head down. Parker ruffled her hair with a smile. “It is alright. I knew the spell was going to take a different toll on all of you.” He said. Then he turned to us. “But we should save other explanations for when we reach Edolas. The spell has bought us about three months before Estarossa can do anything to the pack lands here.” Parker suggested. Jasmine nodded and then stepped back. Parker snapped his fingers and a rope was magically tied around me, my mates, my brothers, Tucker, Anthony, Tristan, and Carter.

“I will stay here to monitor for a few days and then meet up with you back home.” Parker said. I nodded. “But what is the rope for?” TJ asked. Riley and Ren giggled. “It is so you all don’t fall off.” Kayla said with a smirk on her face. “What do you me-” I stopped midstence when I saw Jasmine shifting. Blue flames enveloped her body. Her neck extended making it about twice the length of a giraffe’s neck. Blue scales started growing through her skin. Claws emerge from her fingertips and feet. Her wings tripling in size to accommodate for the change in her body’s size. When the flames disappeared there was a marvelous electric blue dragon standing in front of us.

Jasmine’s dragon, Dilinda, was gargantuan. She stood almost equal to the pack house. EJ and TJ walked over to her, they would have ran if not for them already being tied to the rest of us. Mesmerized by their mate’s other form. They barely came up to her elbow. “You are beautiful.” EJ said as he ran a hand down her massive leg. Dalinda purred as she nuzzled her huge snout against EJ. She did the same to TJ before she laid down and lowered her wing. “Climb on and hold on tightly.” Dalinda said. Her voice was deeper than Jasmine’s but just as respectful and gentle. “Wait, we are riding on you to get to Edolas?” Tucker asked in a bit of shock. Dalinda nodded. “Yes, it is the fastest and safest way to transport so many people between worlds.” She said.

“Come one. It will be fun.” Riley said, seeming to be back to her normal happy self. She climbed up half way on her mother’s wing and turned to us. “You will all be safe. I promise.” She said as she held out her hand. I smiled and carefully walked up onto Dalinda’s wing and grabbed Riley’s hand. She and Kai helped us climb up onto Dalinda’s back. Ren, Riley, and Kai sat in front of us that had the rope on. While Grace, Natalia, and Kayla were sitting in the very back. Even though her back would look very uncomfortable with all the sharp and rough looking scales. It honestly wasn’t so bad. It was a bit rougher than if I was sitting on a wolf’s back but I still felt safe. “Stay safe and train hard.” Mama said as she waved us off. I smiled and gave her a thumbs up. “Now hold on tight.” Dalinda said, as she spread her massive wings and jumped into the sky. The jump felt like the drop of a roller coaster, but Dalinda never started to fall. Instead, we climbed higher and higher as she flapped her powerful wings. We climbed so high we were above the clouds now. It was a beautiful site. ‘Now to Edolas.’ Artemis said in my head and I giggled as I was thinking the exact same thing.
