Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee
Chapter 891: Shopping for the New Home

Tina wiped her mouth with a napkin from the table after hearing the elderly woman's words. "Few people can stay true to their inner choices. Following one's heart is already rare."

The old woman continued sipping her porridge, nodding thoughtfully. "Exactly. When I saw you personally design that engagement ring, I guessed you and your partner must truly cherish each other." Tina's eyes curved into a smile, her lips softening with amusement. "Don't worry. He and I will give it our all to make it work."

The old woman nodded with relief.

The phone on the table buzzed. Tina answered it, Jared's deep, magnetic voice coming through.

"Have you left yet?" His tone carried a trace of playfulness.

"I'm already near the mall, having breakfast at a small diner," Tina replied casually, but before she could finish, Jared interrupted.

"I haven't eaten either. I'll come join you. Wait there for me."

Tina raised an eyebrow. She wanted to say she had already eaten, but since he hadn't, she decided to wait.

Before long, a tall, elegant figure approached her. The sunlight reflected off him, casting a soft halo. His dark hair shone under the light, and his deep black eyes sparkled with warmth as he looked at her. "Well, this young man is handsome, and he matches you perfectly!" The old woman chuckled at Tina as Jared arrived.

Tina nodded earnestly. "I think my Uncle is very charming too."

"What would you like to eat, young man? I'll make it for you," the old woman said, standing up to give Jared her seat.

"I'll have the same as Tina, thank you." Jared nodded politely, his manner refined.

"Ah, couples who love each other always like to do the same things-even eat the same meals," the old woman teased as she turned to prepare his food with a smile.

Jared sat across from Tina, his eyes filled with amusement. "After breakfast, let's visit the mall and pick up some things for our new home."

Tina blinked, her gaze puzzled. "New home?"

"Yes," Jared replied with a smile. "I want to start preparing the place where we'll live after we get married. It might be a bit early, but I thought we could look at furniture you like. It'll help with the design later."

A blush crept across Tina's cheeks. "Uncle, you're moving quickly. Let's explore the mall together. You can pick furniture you like too, and we'll look at the design plans when we have time. Something we'll both enjoy." Jared nodded. "I'll leave it all to you."

The old woman brought over a plate of crispy flatbread and porridge. Jared accepted it with both hands and broke the flatbread in half, giving a piece to Tina. The two sat by the roadside, chatting idly as they ate.

A sleek, black Mercedes pulled up in front of a towering skyscraper. The driver stepped out, respectfully opening the door. "Miss Kaleigh Swanson, we've arrived at Century Square."

A woman wearing sunglasses stepped out, her heels clicking sharply against the pavement. She glanced at Jared and Tina eating at the roadside stall in the distance, her lips curling into a sneer. "They allow such riffraff to eat here at the entrance of Century Square? Pathetic. The poor really know their place-just sitting and watching."

With a disdainful look, she strode into the mall, flanked by several bodyguards dressed in black.

After finishing his last bite of porridge, Jared looked at Tina, who leaned back in her chair and let out a contented burp.

"Looks like you enjoyed the meal. The old woman's cooking is quite good," Jared said, smiling as he used a napkin to gently wipe Tina's mouth.

Tina gave him a sidelong glance. "Uncle, I already had breakfast before you arrived. Then you kept feeding me after you came. How could I not burp?"

Jared chuckled softly. "Alright, let's head to the mall."

Tina lazily stretched out her hand, and Jared grasped it in his large palm, wrapping his arm around her waist. His hand wandered to her stomach, giving it a playful pat. "Feels like it's gotten bigger." Tina lightly smacked his head. "We're in public. Watch yourself."

The old woman watched them with a smile full of affection. "Come back when you have time. In a while, I'll have new dishes for you to try. You two can eat for free."

"Alright, Grandma. Once there's something new, I'll definitely bring Tina here to support you," Jared replied, holding Tina close.

Tina nodded and added, "Grandma, next time make roujiamo. I'd love to try it."

"Alright, alright. I'll wait for you two next time," the old woman said, nodding enthusiastically, her face glowing with joy. It had been a long time since she had met such lively young people. The two waved goodbye and walked into the mall.

Inside, the mall was divided into different sections: a food court called Greedy Jungle, luxury clothing brands, jewelry stores selling gold, diamonds, and jade, skincare products, trendy accessories, and home necessities like furniture and bedding.

Jared wrapped his arm around Tina's waist and leaned down to ask her, "Where do you want to start?"

Tina glanced around as they walked. "Let's just wander. We'll stop and look wherever catches our interest." "Alright. Whatever you say." Jared shifted to holding her hand, their fingers interlocked.

As they strolled, many eyes followed them. First, because Jared and Tina were strikingly attractive-a rare sight of such a handsome man and beautiful woman together. Second, the patrons of Century Square were always dressed impeccably, given it was Ashbury's largest mall, where prices spoke for themselves. Yet, the clothes Jared and Tina wore didn't seem to have any recognizable labels. Jared and Tina: ...

Their outfits weren't from any brand.

Tina had made them herself. She hadn't released them under her Waverly Underwood label but had designed them as unique, one-of-a-kind couple's pieces.

The fabric wasn't particularly luxurious. Tina had simply chosen something comfortable.

Jared loved the clothes and wore them almost every day. As the weather turned colder, the clothes were harder to dry after washing. To ensure he could wear them the next morning, Jared had the servants dry them overnight using a machine. This meant the clothes had been washed so often that the colors had faded slightly.

Tina was planning to make two more sets for Jared when she had time. She hadn't expected these outfits to draw so much attention.

Still, neither of them cared.

Jared stopped in front of a trendy decor store, glancing down at Tina with a smile. "I think this is the kind of place little girls would love. Let's take a look."

Tina raised an eyebrow. "I'm not a little girl."

But she still followed him inside.

The store clerk was stunned by their appearance as they entered. However, she didn't approach to recommend products. Most customers in such stores preferred to browse freely and would check out if they found something they liked.
