Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 478 Endless Difficulties (Part One)

I hold onto my happiness as long as I continue to stride over the kennel, but the moment I walk ahead firmly with some sense of confidence and optimism, the familiar kennel transforms into an endless chasm, cruelly snatching the happiness I was eager about and holding onto with my dear life.

"Stop..."

the sound of fierce helplessness incessantly echoed through the street, as two merciless men dressed in black waistcoat, and arms covered with multiple tattoo, chased a boy, who was clearly not old enough to be considered an adult. As passers-by grew more aware watching this chaotic scene, they kept whispering to one another, while making way for the men in chase to avoid trouble.

As she saw the scared boy, who was being chased in front of her, Molly could not believe what she was witnessing. But when she saw him close enough to realize it was indeed happening, she ran to him firmly in aid. She pursed her lips tightly and put in all her strength and energy to catch up with them. And fortunately, as they were blocked by passers-by, they could not run fast enough.

Eric got off the car, which he stopped in the middle of the road, but he was too worried about Molly to care about his car. He simply ran behind Molly, who was following them aimlessly.

The boy kept trying to hide every spot he chanced upon but fled in fear and finally ran into a dead end. The two tattooed men sneered viciously as a sly smile appeared on their faces. They approached him slowly, as they saw he had nowhere to run anymore, with steel rods in their hands.

One of the tattooed men said, "Oh, what happened to the poor boy? Why don't you run any further? Run, run, why don't you run now?"

The boy looked around helplessly, his eyes grew red with fear and anxiety, and tried to run around. However, there was nowhere to go as there was wall behind him blocking all access. He then took a few steps backwards to touch the wall till he realized there was nothing he could do to escape the situation. The two men with tattoo continued to walk towards him while moving the steel rods around in their hands restlessly.

"You run!" One of the men kicked the boy down on the ground, spat on him and said, "You piece of worthless shit! How did you dare to grab my goods without paying?" Upon saying that, he kicked the boy once again, and the boy winced and cried out in pain and agony. Then, the man raised the steel rod in his hand, to pound the boy, but right at the crucial moment, the boy was pulled behind by someone.

"Just stop right there!"

The man stopped his hands mid-air as he was interrupted. Glancing at the woman protecting the boy, the man grinned with anger and asked, "Who the hell are you?"

Molly held the boy tightly in her warm arms. She neither had time to think about why Daniel was here, nor knew how she could escape this situation by screwing over such dangerous people. Instead, she dedicated all her energy and thoughts to protect the boy, like her own. While slowly turning her head up to look at the men standing tall with the steel rods, she asked, "Why do you want to beat him up?"

"Why should I not?" the man blurted out with anger. "He took some goods from me and never bothered to pay... This little shit! To beat him will be letting him go with a second chance!"

Molly frowned slightly upon hearing their reason. Right at this moment, Daniel began to shiver, with his hands tightly placed behind his head, without raising his head to find out who was protecting him. It was not until he heard Molly's voice saying, "What goods are you referring to? How much money is it worth? I'll pay the sum if you promise to spare him from any harm." Just hearing this generous offer, he raised his head with shock. When he saw Molly, he looked more shocked, his face froze and his lips began to quiver. He was at a loss of words.

"Not much actually..." the man said looking down at Molly, with a tempted look, who was wearing a deep V-neck half sleeve blouse. One could see her peering attractive cleavage. With a rather slight salacious look in his eyes and a smirk, he said, "Only one million!" Upon hearing that, Molly's face grew grim. She did not even think that Daniel would owe so much money to the men. Looking at Daniel with confusion, she sensed him fluster. She asked with some curiosity, "What goods did you take from them, which would cost so much?"

Daniel lowered his face with guilt. Suddenly, he struggled and took a chance when she was inattentive to push her away, with hopes to escape. However, the other beefed up man, with tattoos, sensed his move just right. Just when he was about to take a step, the man kicked him in his tummy stopping him in his tracks.

"Aahhh!" Daniel yelled out of pain, kneeling on the ground.

"Daniel!" Molly's expression changed abruptly. Without even realizing that her hand that was injured by Daniel's sudden hard push just seconds back, she protected him instinctively and shouted at the man kicking Daniel, "I said I will pay you, so why did you beat him?" "Well, the money must be paid..." the man smiled in a rather indecent manner as he slowly walked towards her and said, "but before that... let us take some interest..."

"What... what is this sudden interest?" Daniel stammered. Then without any care for the pain in his tummy, he pushed Molly aside in one swift movement.

"What do we want to do you ask?" the man asked back, laughing slyly, while the other man completed their line of dialogue, "Of course we want this chick to give us some company..." Just saying that, he stretched out his arms to drag Molly. However, before he could even touch Molly, he screeched out of pain, "Who?"
