Chapter 479 Endless Difficulties (Part Two)

Because of the sudden alarm, everybody around the alley looked towards the entrance with concern, seeing Eric walking to them slowly, with a rather cold and cruel look on his evil yet attractive face. "Who the fuck are you... ouch..."

the man did not even finish the sentence before he was thrown to the wall in a hard manner and he then collapsed onto the ground, like a kite, leaving behind a fierce scream filled with agony.

Revealing his gloomy and cold look, laced with a nasty smile forming on his mouth, to the other man Eric asked, "Do you still want her to stay with both of you?"

The man now understood very well that they were caught in a tight spot. He was sensible enough to shake his head, despite any other reservations, and said, "Oh don't you worry now, it was just... a small joke..."

Just glancing at them, Eric walked ahead and saw Molly still supporting Daniel with her hands, who did not look so well. He asked in a harsh tone, "So how much does he owe you?"

"One...one million...sir."

In an indifferent manner, Eric took out a checkbook and pen from his pocket, scribbled down the required digits on a check, tore it off and gave it to the tattooed man, "Get away right now! And don't ever appear in front of me again!" "Ok...sir...ok...thank you...thank you...we will not inconvenience you. " the man said as he grabbed the check. Then nudging his companion ever so slightly, the two of them left in a hurry together almost instantly.

As the tattooed men scuttled away, the atmosphere in the alley suddenly became weird. Molly looked at Daniel, while he just looked everywhere else with a guilty conscience.

Since she had woken up over four years ago, she had been in a constant search for Daniel and Steven, but she never found them, until now. And when she least expected it, she found Daniel in such an odd situation. It was evident that many things had happened in the past few years in both their lives for them to have met in such a manner.

"Daniel," Molly called his name, "what are you doing in T City?"

Daniel was 18-years-old, an entirely different person from who he had been four years ago, now he was more mature and even taller than Molly by over four feet. However, he was evidently skinny almost like he could be blown away by the gush of a strong wind. Moreover, his face appeared pale and sallow in an unhealthy way, and his eyes were empty.

He dared not to look at Molly in her eyes. Instead, he just tried to vocalize the answer to her question, "I...I... I have just been here for just a few days."

"Only a few days? Is it because of the men we just encountered?"

As he finally looked at Molly, Daniel did not know how to silence her inquisitiveness.

"Little Molly, this is not a particularly ideal place for catching up!" Eric reminded her as he interrupted, he saw clearly understood that Daniel was hesitating and growing uneasy.

Taking another glance at Daniel, Molly pursed her lips and asked, "So where do you live?"

"I..." Daniel's face changed color as he mustered the courage to speak out, "Well, honestly these past days I had no place to live."

Opening her mouth wide open with shock, Molly did not know what to say, she was beyond hurt just thinking about what he must have faced all alone. Looking at Daniel with pity and also anger, she responded, "Now you know where you have to live, you will come to the hotel with me!"

At Smile Hotel

The whole time, despite several attempts Spark was unable to get in touch with Molly. Since Harrow informed him that Brian too was also in T City, he guessed this delay might had something to do with Brian.

One glance at the clock on the wall, and he realized that it was almost one o'clock. He turned his head and looked at the room where Mark was sleeping, then he took a look at the clock again and was lost in thought. He scribbled down something on the notepad and called for the hotel's special care service, intending to leave the hotel premise to look for Molly.

The moment he reached the hotel's gate, he spotted an aggressive Cayenne stopping right across him. Just as the car door opened, Molly and a boy got off the car.

Spark gradually stopped in his hurried tracks just seeing them. Right after getting out of the car, Molly said something to the driver and grabbed something. It was not until the car left that she took a look at the boy by her side, turned around and walked towards the hotel. "Spark? What are you doing here?" initially, Molly was a little surprised to see him but she then said, "Well, I..."

Looking into her red eyes, Spark smiled ever so slightly and shook his head, indicating that it was unnecessary for her to explain anything to him. He then asked, "He is...?"

While looking at Daniel, Molly answered instantly, "Well he's Daniel."

"Oh is it so?" Spark was very evidently surprised but he did not ask any more questions. Instead, he changed the topic by saying, "So have you eaten anything?" Molly shook her head. Spark said, "Well, it turns out Mark and I haven't eaten either. So let's head for lunch together!" Molly nodded in approval and walked into the hotel together with both Daniel and Spark.

Together they had lunch in complete harmony. Mark could not be happier to learn that Daniel was his uncle, about whom he had heard so much from his beloved mommy. Daniel too was surprised to learn that his sister was not only married but also had a son. Right after lunch, Spark considerately took Mark out to play, just to give Molly and Daniel some space and time to catch up, despite his growing curiosity and concerns in his heart.

Now, there was no one except Molly and Daniel in the presidential suite. Realizing how they have been apart for so many years, Daniel grew nervous. Molly too remained silent, not knowing where to start, while for some reason, Daniel hoped that Molly would not ask anything. But his hopes were dashed the very next second.
