After reading it, she frowned and turned her head to look at Chris, "Are the Rawlins crazy? How can they offer such a low price?" Chris said nothing.

Linda was furious, "No, you mustn't say yes to him. But if he thinks of your friendship, don't let him take advantage!".

"But if I don't say yes, where will the money come from?" asked Chris.

Linda was speechless for a moment.

Yes, how could he have begged Rawlins if he hadn't really been desperate?

"Isn't there another way?" Linda leaned helplessly against the couch, "Is that really how Rawlins wants it?".

"Snap!"

Chris reached up and slammed the laptop shut, gritting his teeth: "Rawlins is just trying to take over my company." Linda growled, "His ambitions are written into the contract."

At that moment, the assistant rushed in, "Chairman, the shareholders are here."

"They're waiting for you in the conference room."

"Go ahead. Better not piss them off or things will only get worse for the company." advised Linda. Chris got up, smoothed his suit and walked out with a sullen face.

In the meeting room, all the shareholders looked serious, which depressed the mood.

Chris came striding in, and as soon as he saw him enter, the shareholders who had been sitting rose.

"Sit down, guys." Chris walked over and sat down in the main seat, sweeping his eyes over everyone present. "Don't worry, the company's crisis will soon be resolved ...."

Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by one of the shareholders, "You always say it will be resolved soon, but how many days has it been, how long do you want us to wait?" At the shareholders' questions, Chris grimaces and doesn't answer.

"A partnership?" Chris was a little surprised.

"I have a general understanding of your company's current situation. I believe you are in dire need of liquidity." Bauer didn't beat around the bush. Chris asked tentatively, "How do you want to cooperate?"
