Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1580: Are you such a pest to your son?
Sweety put the shell to her ear, her eyes suddenly lit up and she looked at Solomon in surprise, "Brother, it's true! There's the sound of the waves!" Solomon doted, "As long as you like it."
Sweety listened carefully for a moment before blinking her big eyes and saying seriously, "Brother, I like this shell a lot, but I like you even more, so don't do that again."
Remembering what had just happened, Sweety was still a little distraught.
Solomon also knew that it had been too dangerous and that if Daddy hadn't arrived in time, he might have died.
He nodded heavily, "Okay, brother won't do that again."
"Get up." Eloise reached down and pulled Solomon up, patting the sand from his body, and said gently, "Let's go back to the bath, change into clean clothes and have some ginger soup to prevent a cold." Solomon said "yes" and walked obediently towards the cottage.
Hector scooped up Sweety and followed in their footsteps.
Back at the cottage, Solomon and Sweety went upstairs to shower and change.
Eloise sat on the sofa, still a little scared, her heart clenching as her mind replayed the image of Solomon's hands flopping over the sea.
"If we hadn't caught it in time, Solomon would have..." Eloise was afraid to go on.
"Don't be afraid, it's all right now." Hector sat down beside her and put his arm around her shoulders and whispered reassuringly, "Next time let's just keep a closer eye on Solomon and not let him go into the water alone." Eloise nodded and said nothing.
She rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around him, the only way she could feel at ease.
Perhaps this incident had cast a shadow over Eloise, and she didn't dare to let Solomon into the water when she went to the beach for a few days afterwards.
Solomon was smart enough to see what she was thinking and never went into the water again.
He didn't feel lost, after all, there was so much to do on this island.
The island is beautiful, and although the Rogers Group has built a factory and amusement facilities here, it has not spoilt the scenery.
On this day, the family of four took the ride to the aquarium.
As soon as they arrived at the gate, Solomon and Sweety were eager to jump out of the car and run to the aquarium.
"Slow down, don't fall!" Eloise rushed out of the car to catch up with them.
There was a long underwater tunnel in the aquarium and through the glass you could see all kinds of fish swimming in the water.
Solomon and Sweety were lying on the glass, staring at the fish with wide, unblinking eyes.
Surprise and joy were written all over their little baby faces.
Unlike the private beach in front of the villa, the aquarium was full of tourists and Eloise held them tightly for fear of getting separated from the children.
After walking through the tunnel, the two little ones wanted to go to the memorial, and Eloise was happy to oblige.
Eloise was overwhelmed by the array of souvenirs, and as she handed over a small dolphin puppet, she raised an eyebrow, "That's cute."
Then she asked Sweety, "Do you like it?"
Sweety hugged it and arched her eyebrows, "Yes."
"Daddy, Mummy, I want to buy presents for Grandma and Grandpa, and my little aunt and uncle." Solomon said.
Eloise couldn't help but laugh at this, "You're so thoughtful, Mummy didn't even think of that. Then you go and pick them out, see what presents are suitable for grandparents." "Okay."
Solomon took on the task, carrying the shopping basket in his hands, and slowly strolled through the shop.
The basket was full as he wandered around, even as Hector had a few trinkets in his hands.
Solomon looked to his daddy, "Is it too much?"
"No." Hector placed the basket on the checkout counter.
"You can give the extra stuff to your classmates and friends." He turned his head to Solomon and Sweety.
Eloise listened quietly, a light smile always lifting the corners of her mouth.
In the evening, the two little ones were tired of playing, had dinner and played for a while before going upstairs for a bath and an early night.
Eloise tucked them in and whispered, "Good night."
before turning to go out and closing the door softly behind her.
Hector, who was waiting outside, saw her come out, "All asleep?"
Eloise nodded, "Mmm, asleep."
"Then the rest is time for the two of us." Hector took her hand.
"Do you have plans?" Eloise blinked her clear eyes up at him with some anticipation.
"What kind of arrangements do you want to have?" Hector ducked his head and moved closer to her.
The two locked eyes.
One with a smile in her eyes.
One with a blank look in her eyes.
He flicked her forehead and laughed, "There are no surprises when you know in advance."
With that, he pulled her towards the stairs.
At that, Eloise stomped up the stairs with growing anticipation.
Hector took her up to the top floor, a sky garden.
In the middle of the garden was a small table with candelabras and food and wine.
The candle flames flickered like stars in the night sky, one by one, as if they were shaking Eloise's heart.
Eloise's eyes were slightly moist and she tilted her head to meet Hector's tender eyes and smiled softly, "Did you do this?" "Yeah."
Hector led her over to him and pulled out a chair, "Sit."
Eloise sat down as she was told, feeling slightly tipsy before she had even had a drink.
Her head was still a little dizzy until she finished her meal.
Hector pulled her over to the railing and held her from behind, as they looked out over the moonlit sea, calm and mysterious.
The sound of the waves came from far away and Eloise took a deep breath, her red lips curving up, "I love it here. It's like a dream these days, every day is so happy and peaceful, if only it could be like this for the rest of my life." But, she knew it would be hard to achieve.
With the entire Rogers Group on Hector's shoulders, it was impossible to take that burden off for a short time.
Hector's arms slowly tightened around her waist, "When Solomon graduates from university, leave the company to him and I'll take you around the world. When you're tired, come here to retire."
"Are you such a punk to your son?" Eloise turned her head and glared at him.
Whirling, she laughed out, "But, I agree."
"So, we're going to focus on training Solomon to take over the Rogers Group sooner rather than later."
Eloise nodded, "Good."
Solomon, who was sleeping, didn't know that his favorite daddy and mommy had set him on a clear path to be pitched in the future.
