Chapter 1581: A woman should not treat herself badly

At the end of the holiday, the family of four began their return journey home.

Eloise stood on the deck, looking at the island that was getting farther and farther away, with some reluctance.

Hector came up behind her and hugged her, his low, gentle voice ringing in her ear, "We'll be back."

The corners of Eloise's mouth lifted and she gave a soft "yes".

When they got back to City J, Hector parents were waiting for them early and greeted them as soon as they saw them coming home. "Are you tired from your trip?" Hector's mother touched Solomon and Sweety's faces lovingly, her eyes falling on Eloise's face. Eloise smiled faintly, "No."

After a short chat in the living room, Hector's mother told Eloise to go upstairs and rest.

The two little ones were also a little tired and went upstairs to their bedrooms to sleep together until dinner.

Rupert came home from work and when he saw Hector, he cried, "Brother, you're finally home, I've been so busy the last few days." "It's been hard."

Rupert smiled as the faint words floated over, "It's worth it to hear that."

Eloise looked over at Hector's father and said gratefully, "Dad, it's been hard on you too while Hector's been away."

"No, the people Hector has trained are all very capable and I don't have to worry about them at all." Hector's father said with a smile. Rupert laughed dryly, "Dad, you've left everything to me, so of course I don't have to worry about it."

"Hahahaha..." Hector's father laughed a bit awkwardly, "I haven't been out of touch with the company for too long, I'm a bit rusty."

At this comment, everyone laughed and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming.

In the evening, after Eloise had gone to bed, Hector went to the study.

He and Cerdic had a video conference to attend.

During the days he was on leave, Cerdic and Thomas seemed to have made an appointment and no one bothered him.

It wasn't until he knew his leave was over that Cerdic called him, saying he had something to report to him.

As soon as the video came through, Cerdic, upon seeing him, first called out respectfully, "Young master."

Without waiting for him to say anything, Cerdic took the initiative to report, "During your absence, Chris has agreed to our request to share some of his major projects. The partnership agreement has been signed, so that Chris is now completely in our hands."

The party was held at a private club.

"Reeva, you can sit over here." Lisa pointed to an empty seat off to the side.

Reeva nodded and followed, sitting down.

As soon as she settled down, a man next to her glued himself to her, leaning his whole body against Reeva's and looking at her with a smile. Reeva pushed the man and didn't push him away, vaguely upset that the man sensed her resistance and even pressed closer and closer.

Reeva instantly understood what Lisa had said before entering and she hesitated a little as the man's hand was already attached to her leg.

All the rich kids in the room might be able to help too, so she half-heartedly let the man move.

Just then, the door to the compartment was thrown open with great force.

Reeva looked up and was shocked to see the visitor, she instantly stood up, she subconsciously tugged at her skirt which had just been wrinkled by the man, "What are you doing here?" Even though she had covered it up quickly, Chris had seen it, the way they both moved, Reeva's desire to cover it up.

He stepped forward and yanked Reeva's wrist directly, saying in a cold voice, "Come back with me!"

Reeva clearly sensed Chris' anger and for a moment didn't know how to react to him, she could only manage to maintain a smile, "When did you go back to your country?" "Come back with me! Immediately and immediately!" Chris looked at her coldly.

"Okay."

Reeva dared not argue, grabbed her bag, spoke to Lisa, and hurried out after Chris.

On the way back, the car was dead silent.

Reeva turned her head to look at Chris, who was driving, and opened her mouth to say something, but in the end she didn't.

When she arrived home, Reeva walked behind Chris and as soon as she entered the house, she was slapped hard across the face.
