Chapter 1614: Sitting at the bottom of the jail

The deputy manager of the planning department had a separate office, so naturally Eloise didn't hear the staff's comments. Thomas went back to the director's office after explaining that the HR department had come to do the induction procedures. As soon as he left, the landline in Eloise's office rang.

Eloise froze, glanced at the number, smiled and picked it up, "Mr Hector, what can I do for you?"

Hearing her address her in such an official way, Hector on the other end of the line smiled in amusement, "How are you feeling?"

"Not too bad. However, it's probably been too long since I've spent time with my colleagues and I'm still a bit uncomfortable for a while, but I'll try to fit in."

"You don't have to think about it so much, just do what you want to do. Remember to tell me if there's anything you need to do, don't push yourself."

"Okay, Mr Hector, I won't let you down." EloiseSweety gave a smile.

Because she had a job, Eloise was back to her previous energetic self.

When it was time to leave work, Hector himself came downstairs to pick Eloise up from work.

After getting into the car and driving for a while, Eloise realised it wasn't the direction she was going home. She inclined her head and wondered, "Hector, where are we going, aren't we going home?" Hector took the wheel with one hand and rubbed her head with the other, "No, we're not going home, we're having dinner out tonight."

Eloise was a little surprised and smiled, "Okay."

Arriving at the restaurant, Eloise noticed that it was clearly dinner time, but there were no other customers.

She blinked at Hector, "You've packed the place?"

Only to see him nod and raise his glass of red wine, "Well, to celebrate your return to the workplace, congratulations, Eloise Assistant Manager."

Eloise inclined her head and smiled, "I've been your secretary before."

She added inwardly.

Hector raised an eyebrow and said, "Not the same."

"Why?" Eloise wondered.

"The fact that you're back in the planning department, doing your job, reminds me of back in the day, when we first met."

"Back then, you were working in the planning company, you planned Solomon's birthday party, Grandpa's birthday party, and that's how we were able to meet meet meet meet meet, and it meant a lot to both of us." Talking about that time, Hector seemed to be covered with a soft light, and his whole being became more and more gentle.

Eloise then reminisces about that time and finds it funny too, and can't help but smile.

Sweety rushed into Hector's arms on her short legs, pampered him for a while and then couldn't resist pulling on Eloise, "Mummy!"

"I got the transaction records of Winston's purchase of the fake death drug from Organization H's hands."

"As for the Sike company that provided the material for the mask, I also found their staff, and according to their explanation, the mask was manufactured with a structure similar to that of real skin, and it stays on for a long time, up to six months before it naturally falls off."

After hearing this, Hector's brow furrowed slightly, "Is there any other way to get rid of it other than naturally?"

"Yes. I've got a potion that works like that, but it smells so bad that if I were to give it to Blythe, it would probably be easy to spot."
