Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 386: Hate each other
Rupert looked at the call record and hooked his lips helplessly. He was still a bit worried, but on second thought, she was just a caretaker, those people should not be watching her, so he didn't worry about it anymore.
Meanwhile, Eloise was at the dinner table, dazed.
She hadn't slept through the night and when she woke up this morning, she hadn't seen him and the feeling of unease had risen to a fever pitch.
Solomon looked at her and was busy saying, "Mummy, if you miss Daddy, you don't have to have breakfast with me."
In fact, Eloise's heart had already flown to the office, and when she heard Solomon say so understandingly, she couldn't hold back her heart any longer, so she hastily packed her things and brought breakfast for Hector, and went straight to the office.
It was still early, so there was no one at the office, and Eloise walked down the empty hallway in a state of flux.
Something had really happened, hadn't it?
She walked all the way to the CEO's office, but it was unharmed.
She gently pushed the door open and saw a sleeping Hector, lying on a simple bed in his office, his long eyelashes drooping, making his face look even more delicate. His hands were resting restlessly on the duvet, but he was sleeping peacefully.
Eloise's heart fluttered, she hadn't expected him to fall asleep like this, and in such dire circumstances, he was sleeping so soundly, so you can imagine how tired he must have been for some time.
She quietly went over and tucked him in, then sat watching him.
Perhaps alerted to Eloise's presence, Hector slowly opened his eyes.
When he saw Eloise in front of him, his eyes lit up, "Eloise, when did you get here?"
Seeing that he was awake, Eloise opened the thermos box in her hand and took out the food one by one before saying, "I haven't been here long, so I didn't disturb you as you were sleeping."
Hector looked at the food she had brought and didn't have much of an appetite, so he simply said, "I don't really feel like eating right now."
Eloise stared, "What do you want to eat then?"
"Want to eat you."
With that he kissed right down.
Hector took the opportunity to hold Eloise and make her blush.
Looking at her blushing face, Hector couldn't help but love her, but when he thought of the worry he had caused her, he apologised, "I'm sorry Eloise, there's been so much going on lately, I haven't had time for you. Don't worry, I'll be with you after this period."
He didn't want to spend more time with her, but there had been so much going on lately, and with the Stephens Group looking over his shoulder, he just couldn't let up.
Eloise was fine with this, she had heard about the recent events with the Rogers Group and she understood, but she was more worried about Hector's health.
She paused for a moment before saying, "Hector, I understand that you're busy, but can you promise me that you'll take care of your health, and that you'll try to stop sleeping in the office?"
After all, she was really worried about herself too, and Hector didn't want her to worry so much every day, so he had to put his arm around her and whispered in her ear, "It's okay, don't worry about it."
Just then, there was a knock at the door, only to hear Hall whisper, "Prince, may I come in?"
Eloise knew that Hall had come over suddenly, it must be something important, so she said, "Then you get busy, I'll go back first."
When Hector nodded, Eloise went back.
Hall had just come in, followed by Marian.
Only to hear Hall say, "Prince, the plan will start tonight, everything is ready."
Hector nodded and whispered, "Good work."
Then he continued, "I'll be there tonight too."
It was only because the stakes were so high and there were so many unknowns that he was afraid he wouldn't be able to control the situation, so he said he would come along.
At that moment, Marian, who had not said a word, said, "Prince, if you go, can you take me with you, I'm not sure."
Hector didn't even think about it and refused.
Marian froze in his tracks, not knowing what to say. On the contrary, it was Hall who asked, "Prince, we will take care of this time, you can rest assured."
At this Hector shook his head and then said, "Rupert is my brother, there is no way I will let him be in danger, you don't have to persuade me."
He was going to do it today.
Hall and Marian knew Hector's temperament, and once he had made up his mind, he could not change it. So they both looked at each other for a while and gave up.
As soon as it was time to leave work that night, Hector called Marian to his office, and Marian thought that Hector had changed his mind, so he went there happily.
When she arrived, Hector simply said, "There's going to be a lot going on today, and I'm afraid those people will notice in advance, so why don't you take Eloise home later and make sure she's safe." Marian was about to say something else, but in the end she just opened her mouth and didn't say anything.
After all, it was Hector's orders, and she always listened to them, and when she came out of the president's office, she went straight to the department where Eloise was.
Seeing Marian suddenly appear in front of her, Eloise also froze for a moment before saying, "Why did you suddenly come over?"
With an expression like I didn't want to come over either, Marian said coldly, "The prince asked me to take you home, so you should pack your things quickly."
Eloise was a bit bemused, with that look on your face, you might as well not send it, but after all, it was Hector's idea, so she didn't say anything.
The whole way there, Marian looked as if Eloise owed her eight million dollars.
Eloise didn't say anything either, just ignoring her and concentrating on her own business.
When she got home, Marian said, "Don't go out tonight if you don't have anything to do with it, don't be so self-conscious, don't give people trouble all the time, I have to go out." Eloise was also a little displeased to hear this tone of her voice, plus it was a bit of a killer, she frowned and said, "Be my guest, if you don't want to stay with me, I'll get back to Hector." She really wasn't used to seeing Marian acting like she was so high and mighty, as if the whole world couldn't go against her.
Besides, there was no need to pay for her temper herself.
To her surprise, Marian went on to say, "You need to stop telling on the prince."
She gave Eloise a snort and said, "I'm just being honest." Ignoring this, she walked away.
