Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 689: It's All My Fault
Solomon never used to be like this, so understanding and well behaved.
When she saw her grandmother crying like that, she must have spoken out to comfort her a long time ago.
"Solomon?" called Mr Fletcher tentatively.
Solomon looked at him with an expressionless face and did not react.
By this time it was becoming apparent to everyone that something was wrong.
Solomon's expression, how it feels, feels like, like ...
Mrs Matriarch let go of Solomon and with tears in her eyes coaxed, "Good grandson, tell Grandma what's wrong with you, okay?" Solomon took a step back, distancing himself from everyone.
Everyone was frozen in their tracks.
What's going on here?
Solomon had only been out for less than half a day, how had he become like this?
Mr Fletcher and Hector looked grave.
Hector called out to Solomon, who didn't respond much. The family's hearts sank straight down.
This kid, he's not autistic again, is he?
They turned their attention to Eloise, hoping she would have a word with Solomon.
After all, Solomon was very fond of her before.
Eloise was unsure, but knew that Solomon was in the wrong state.
She stepped forward and tried to strike up a conversation with him.
"Solomon, aren't you tired today, let's get something to eat and go rest, okay?"
With that, she tried to take Solomon's hand.
Solomon reacted greatly, though, stepping back and avoiding her hand, very resistant.
Lifting his eyes, he looked at her coldly, as at a stranger.
Eloise's blood nearly clotted all over her body and her hands were left hanging in mid-air.
She didn't mind Solomon treating her like this, it was just the look in the child's eyes that sent a chill down her spine.
How did this happen?
Hector's heart was also pounding when he saw how his son had turned out again.
Solomon has never been this indifferent to Eloise, who has always been a sweetie pie since he met her.
This look has never been seen before.
He had no idea what was going through Solomon's mind.
Mrs Matriarch couldn't stand the sight of her grandson and discussed with Hector, "Let's bring Solomon back home for a change of scenery, maybe he'll feel better."
Mr Fletcher also said, "Your mother is right, Solomon has been different from other children since he was a child, he looks like this now, he obviously has something on his mind and doesn't want to talk to us, let him go back to his country." Hector's mind was torn.
He couldn't let his son leave like that, but he also knew that something was wrong with Solomon now.
What the parents say is what is best for him.
Staying here will only make his situation worse and worse.
"I'm sorry...." Eloise said with a pained look.
Solomon's reaction to no one else was as great as his own, and with a moment's thought she understood what was going on.
Her heart felt like it was being clutched and rubbed over and over, and it hurt so much that Eloise could barely stand.
Seeing her pained look, Hector sighed, "It's none of your business."
"It's my fault, it's all my fault."
Eloise's face was pale and her whole body looked haggard, as if she had been very ill.
Hector was distraught and reassured.
Let Mrs Matriarch take Solomon to his room first.
The kid's strings have been too tight ever since he found out Eloise was getting married.
At this point, seeing Eloise might not be a good thing for him.
Mrs Matriarch took Solomon up and gave Eloise a look before she left.
There seems to be a thousand words, but I don't know where to begin.
With one last glance at his son, he glanced at Eloise with the same loving gaze.
I can't help but sigh.
Never mind, let the young people work it out for themselves.
Eloise sat in the living room for a while before her mood settled down.
Seeing this Hector asked softly, "Better?"
Eloise nodded, still wilting.
"It's okay, Solomon is only temporary, he'll be fine soon, you don't have to think much about it."
Hector looked at the sky outside and said with difficulty, "It's late today, the Civil Affairs Bureau should be closed, only tomorrow..." "Solomon's business is most important." Eloise interrupted him.
Solomon was in no mood to think about anything else in this state.
Hector was relieved to hear this, and the pallor on his brow lifted for a few moments.
"Do you really want to send Solomon back?"
Thinking about what Mrs Matriarch had said earlier, Eloise was lost in thought.
She was really so sad to part with it.
I don't know if I'll ever see him again if I get a divorce from Hector.
Eloise's heart aches dully at the thought of it.
"Hmm." Hector responded.
"He needs a change of scenery."
As to why the change was made, we all know it by heart.
Children who have had autism are always a little more sensitive than others.
Add to that the fact that this was the person closest to him and it was as if he had been betrayed. How could he stand it.
He will only get more and more miserable here, and in that case, it would be better to send him away.
In fact, even if Hector doesn't say it, Eloise gets it.
She is responsible for Solomon becoming the way he is today.
Without further questions, she stood up and said, "I should go back."
"I'll see you off." Hector followed suit and got up.
"No, I'll just take a taxi."
Eloise indifferently refuses.
Now that the decision has been made to let go, there is no need to get involved any further.
Sensing her detachment, a flash of pain crossed Hector's eyes and his fingers curled up slightly.
He tugged at the corners of his mouth, not a hint of a smile in his eyes.
"I'll call you a cab."
The tone of her voice did not allow her to refuse.
The two stood by the roadside for a while before a car came by.
Without any hesitation, Eloise got straight into the car.
Hector watched the car drive away with disappointment and an empty heart.
The whole person looked like he had lost his soul.
Back at the Darlington family, Eloise couldn't hold back her tears and they kept falling like broken beads.
Sweety, who had been greeting her mummy cheerfully at the door, saw Eloise like this and her little mouth dropped. Grabbing Eloise by the scruff of her coat, she too cried with her little mouth open.
Rowson, in the study, came out and was shocked at the sight.
Hastily, he asked, "What's wrong?"
Eloise couldn't speak and Sweety turned into a tearful mess.
Rowson was in a hurry and couldn't get anything out of it, so he just stood by and did nothing.
Soon, the Darlington family was alarmed.
Mrs Darlington came out a little confused at the scene and coaxed Sweety to ask, "Sweety, what's wrong with you and Mummy?" "Mummy cries ... I... cry too." Sweety replied with a huff.
"Eloise, don't cry, just do it for Sweety," Rowson said carefully and soothingly.
A glass of water was then taken and placed in front of Eloise, in case she cried too much and became dehydrated.
At the moment, however, Eloise couldn't control her emotions at all and a stream of tears leaked from her fingers.
Seeing her like this, Rowson was even more anxious, "What's going on, let's talk about it and work it out together, okay?" No response.
Sweety, who was crying, was already crying.
Mrs Darlington was anxious and kept patting her on the back to smooth her out.
All of a sudden the Darlington family was in chaos.
