Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 690: Meet
But luckily Eloise stopped her tears in time and went over to coax Sweety back to life.
It was only then that the Darlington family was able to return to peace.
Day 2.
Hector drove and drove Mr Fletcher, Mrs Matriarch and Solomon to the airport.
He gave Solomon many instructions to listen to his grandparents and behave well, and that he would return to see him some time later. Solomon looked down and played with his fingers as if he wasn't even listening.
Hector raised his eyebrows and tried to say something serious, but when he saw Mrs Matriarch's face in the rear-view mirror, he swallowed it back. Let's hope the boy can recover as usual.
Rupert and Aisly had booked a flight back the night before because there was still some business to be dealt with at home.
When they arrived at the airport, Hector checked in a few people.
Solomon has been very good, letting his grandmother take his hand, but just being wooden.
After seeing him in his former lively form, this look is genuinely hard to bear.
Hector stood in place for a long while longer as he watched the three go through security.
It was only after Mrs Matriarch's flight had taken off that Hector drove back.
Along the way, the hearts of several people were heavy.
At this point in time, Ken's house looked cold and Hector was in an inexplicably irritable mood.
Thinking that there was still some business to be taken care of at the office, he drove to the office.
The French estate is a significant part of the Rogers Group and Hector could have stayed here for a few more months before returning home.
But Solomon is in a bad way and Hector has to finish up and get back to him as soon as possible.
Besides, Eloise and Rowson's wedding is near.
Hector was not willing to watch the woman he loved, become someone else's wife, it was cruel to him.
He didn't want to experience the feeling of having his heart ripped out and thrown to the ground again.
So he intends to return home as soon as the matter at hand is handed over.
Pulling his thoughts back, Hector's eyes returned once again to the document in front of him.
"President." Thomas's knock on the door sounded.
Hector raised his eyes and commanded coldly, "Come in.
Thomas was seen holding a pile of papers, sorted and laid out in front of Hector's eyes.
"Boss, these are the documents that must be signed by you personally."
"At the company meeting tomorrow morning at ten o'clock, the developed corporate plan needs to be announced."
"Before you leave, you have to attend a party hosted by a well-known European company."
One by one, Thomas relayed the next part of Hector's journey in a clear and organised manner.
Hector nodded, looking indifferent.
"You keep the papers, I'll be at the regular meeting tomorrow, and as for the party, you put it off for me." "Yes."
Thomas had no doubts and retired cleanly with his orders.
As Hector's assistant, he would never ask more questions or say one more word of nonsense.
Hector rubbed his brow, read over the papers Thomas had brought and signed his name immediately afterwards.
With that taken care of, Hector loosened the buttons on the collar of his shirt before he felt a little more breathable.
The pale hand holds a light gold-veined fountain pen and turns it mindlessly.
Stopping his spinning pen, Hector looked to the black screen of his phone on the table.
After a long time, Hector reached for his mobile phone and dialed a number.
Doodle doo...
The blind tone inside the phone made Hector a little uneasy until he was about to give up when a voice rang out on the other end. Gathering himself, Hector spoke flatly, "Eloise, I'm going back home the day after tomorrow."
The office was unusually silent, with only Hector's voice echoing out into the space.
"Meet up."
There were some faint sounds coming from the phone, but I couldn't hear what the other party was saying.
Hector's fingertips rubbed over the plain white printed paper with lowered eyebrows.
He lowered his voice, magnetic as if he were leaning over to whisper in his lover's ear.
"I'll wait for you."
Hector is coming back home...
The moment she heard the news, Eloise's head suddenly went blank.
It took a while to settle down and pretend to talk to Hector in a natural way.
But by the time she tried to say something, the phone had taken on a black screen.
Is he really leaving ...
Eloise looks out of the window a little blankly, not sure what to think.
After hanging up with Eloise, the phone was tossed aside by Hector and he couldn't help but feel a little choked up.
The weight of his heart was weighing him down.
Walking up to the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, Hector looks down on the French city.
His back looked forlorn, and the melancholy aura of his body could be detected from a long distance away.
France is nice, but not for him.
It's time to leave.
Later in the evening, Hector arrived at the appointed place.
This was the place where he and Eloise first ate.
By now things have changed.
He arrives earlier than the appointed time and sits alone in a window seat drinking coffee.
After waiting for ten minutes, Eloise was seen outside the window.
Eloise knows that after this meeting they may not be in contact again.
Hector is here to say his final goodbyes.
On meeting Hector, Eloise felt her heart slow down.
Today she doesn't know how to face this man.
Solomon went wrong because of her selfishness and he ...
Hector saw Eloise and smiled lightly, politely pulling out her seat for her, his eyes as soft as the sea.
"There you are."
"Well ..."
Eloise sits across from Hector, trying to keep her emotions from showing.
Pushing the dessert he had just ordered in front of Eloise, Hector offered, "Try it, Solomon loves the signature dessert here."
Hearing Solomon, Eloise gave a start and couldn't help but ask, "Is Solomon he ... okay?"
"Back home, it's not the right place for him." Hector returned without emotion.
Eloise was dumbfounded, her throat sour as she looked at the dessert on her plate.
She hadn't expected it to come to this, and the way Solomon looked at the stranger made her heart throb.
Solomon's eyes shone brightly every time he saw her, and his pretty eyes were full of joy.
He smiles like a clean little angel.
But now...
Knowing what she was thinking, Hector put down the spoon he was stirring his coffee with and said carelessly, "Solomon has had autism before, and the doctors in the country know Solomon's condition and are experienced, so there's nothing to worry too much about with them."
However, these words were used purely to comfort Eloise.
Now the doctors' treatment is not working for Solomon at all.
Eloise smiled bitterly, her only hope now was that Solomon would get better soon.
Seeing her silence, Hector chimed in, "Do you know why Solomon's name is Solomon?"
Eloise shook her head; although she knew the name, she didn't know the meaning of the name.
