Luna Abigail
Chapter 40

Third person P.O.V.

“Beeeeeeep.” The sound is desperate and insisting. Everyone in the room looks at the flat line, hoping beyond hope she will come back. They try to bring her back with pads and electric shock, but it’s not working. She is still bleeding, and Abby is waiting rather impatiently for her back-up plan to arrive.

Through the door to the operation room rush Brandon, yelling for his mate, still with his little girl in his arms. Matt and Kaiden are hot on his heels, trying to hold him back. Kaiden takes his daughter out of his arms and passes her to Laurel, who runs in with Willow.

Abby panics. If they are all here?!

“Winter and Jax stayed with the twins. They are bringing them here, and I am finding a room for this little one to get her checkups.” Laurel states with tears down her cheeks.

“MORGAN! NO! MORGAN!” Brandon yells, as the guys drag him out of their room. He tries to break free, and when Abby feels the persisting presence of his wolf, she takes action.

“Willow, can you save her?” She asks in a hurry. Willow swallows with wide eyes.

“I can try.” She says, unsure. Abby nods, while she can hear Blade demanding Samson, Brandon’s wolf, to submit and calm himself. They can’t have him shift in the middle of the hospital.

Abby mind-links a nurse outside to have wolfsbane ready. If Samson is not calming down, they’ll have to subdue him.

She then orders all personal in the room to stand back. Willow walks up to the dead girl on the table and looks at Abby. She understands and walks up to her sister. She takes her hand, and they both put a hand on Morgan’s body.

The room looks on as their Queen and her peculiar sister just stand there. Both a hand on the girl on the table, and both swirling in silver and gold light. Mixing in harmony, swirling around and into each other. Then they feel the presence of someone. Not their goddess, but someone else.

“This time I will grant you your wish. But do not ask to many time. Bringing them back from so far away will always be with a risk.” They realise it is Willow who is speaking, but not with her own voice. This voice is grown up, a woman’s. Silk smooth, but deadly.

Galaxy pushes forward.

“Bring her back, Selene!” She says in a demanding tone. A rush of wind and a small laughter sounds through the room and they see a silver light entering the body, followed by a gold light. The wounds and inner bleedings heal over. A heart begins to beat, and a breath is taken! The machines shown a sinus rhythm on the screen, as the stats go up. Her vitals normalize themselves.

Two of the nurses catch the Queen and Willow when they collapse. It has taken a lot of energy out of them, but they have succeeded. Morgan is back!

Outside of the room, Matt and Kaiden are consoling their friend. He is sitting on the floor, tears streaming down his cheeks, his voice hoarse from screaming his mate’s name. They are holding on to him with everything they’ve got.

Jax and Winter arrive with the twins, going into the room where Laurel is attending to the newborn girl. Winter lay Maze down with the little newborn, and he takes her hand before falling asleep. Jax is holding a sleeping Amber in his arms, not letting her go for anything.

After some time on the floor, Matt suggest for them to go into the room where their children are. Brandon, numb from his loss, nods and follows with no protest. He sits down beside his daughter, looking at her and breaking down again.

How is he going to be a father to this little bundle of love without the love of his life?

“Willow and Abby are trying to get her back.” Matt says, trying to find the words that can mend a fracture of his best friend’s broken heart.

Half an hour later, Brandon suddenly gasps for air. Samson is howling with joy in his head. He can feel Antares again. She is back! And with her is.. Morgan!

Morgan has been held at the hospital for the last four days. The doctors wanting to be sure she is alright after her death experience. Brandon has not left her side for the four days. He has been attending to her every need and making sure she and their daughter are comfortable.

“Knock, knock.” Abby says from the door. She has been there to visit with everyone else multiple times a day. Morgan smiles and waves her in. On the couch, Brandon is sleeping soundly. In the crib, their daughter and Maze are napping. Abby can’t help but laugh at the sight.

“I just wanted to check in. And I realised this morning, I don’t know what you are calling my future daughter-in-law?” Abby asks, while sitting down in a chair.

“We are calling her Mira Rose.” Morgans replies with a look at her daughter snuggled into her future mate.

“How is Brandon taking all things?” Abby asks with a look at the little ones as well. Morgan laughs.

“He is complaining about how Maze is already stealing his little girl. But secretly? He loves it! He knows she’ll have a loving and respectful mate.”

“Well, I just talked to the doctors. They are letting you go home today! So, we were thinking; since either of us has had a ceremony (Luna, beta or gamma), and you haven’t had your accenting to Mother’s official ceremony, we were going to have it tonight? If you are up to it?”

“That sounds just like what we need. Celebrations, smiles and lots of good food!” Morgan answers with a big smile.

“And don’t worry about anything. Ornata, Sally and Helena have taken over will not let me or anyone else help. They have everything covered. The only thing I was to ask you was; what color does one use for a Mother accenting ceremony?” Abby rolls her eyes with a laugh.

“Anything natural – but purple is mostly used because it represents the goddess.” Morgan answers. Abby’s eyes glaze over, mind-linking her mother-in-law about the dress color.

In the afternoon, the doctor realises Morgan and Mira. Brandon mind-links Matt to come get Maze, so they can get out of there. Maze, however, is not having any of that. He wants to stay with Mira, and fusses all the way back to the pack house.

Matt asks Morgan if it would be alright with her to use the alpha nursery, so Maze can be close to their daughter. Brandon shouts “no” from behind them, but Morgan rolls her eyes and agrees. She had sensed that her baby girl was calmer when Maze was in her proximity as well.

Abby’s P.O.V.

The night fell, and time had run since I visited Morgan and Brandon at the hospital. Everyone was running around the pack house, while Sally and Helena barked orders. I gathered me and the girls in my and Matt’s bedroom. Talking amicably between each other and enjoying some girl time. It was weird to be together, and no one was missing or fighting for their lives.

As the moon went up in the sky, Ornata came inside the room, smiling from ear to ear. We had all put on the dresses layer out for us, and picked by Matt’s sisters.

My dress was bright silver with purple threading going through the dress, making it shimmer when I moved. It had stones and beads all over the bodice, which faded out along the length of the dress. It was form fitting, flaring out towards the bottom. I felt like a Queen wearing it! On my head, they braided my hair into two braids going on either side of my head and down to my lower back. The crown Selene gave me when she crowned Matt and I perched on top. I didn’t wear any other jewellery, making it stand out even more. My eyes swirled with the color of the dress.

Ellie’s dress was deep green, like the summer forest at dusk. Gold threading made the dress special and royal. Her dress had no beads or pearls, but she wore a gold bracelet, gold earrings and a god necklace. Her dress fitted her body like a glove, and she swore it made her self-confidence go up a notch. We had both been a little shy after giving birth not so long ago.

Both beta girls, Laurel and Jasmin, had coral blue dresses, while white threading and beads on the bodice. The beads shimmer down both dresses, and end with a cascade of beads and pearls at the bottom. They twirled and laughed at themselves. Both were wearing diamond studs and a simple bracelet. The jewellery having been passed down from beta female to another in generations. Their hair was braided too, but different and studded with different color stone pins.

Morgan and Adriana’s dresses weren’t similar, because Morgan also was going to be accenting to Mother officially. Adriana’s dress was red as the setting sun, turning darker as it went down. It was also form-fitting, hugging her curves perfectly. She had opted to have a simple dress, but of course Sally and Helena had gone with an extravaganza. They adorned her dress with red and gold stones, cascading down her dress like the other girls. Adriana had asked for a hairdo like mine, and the girls doing it had looked to me quizzically. I nodded with a smile. Flattered, she wanted the same. The girl made her braids meet in the back, making one long thick braid down her back. It was beautiful!

Morgan’s dress was a purple! Bright shining purple with a silver thread going through it. They dazzled silver and gold stones and beads out over it. It had a long train, and off the shoulder sleeves. They braided her hair like mine, and she was wearing a little purple diamond tiara. Resembling the colors of her goddess.

“My, my. Don’t you all just look gorgeous! I must say, I hope our boys do not have a heart attack. What do you say Luna Jamie?” Jason’s mother came in behind Ornata, her eyes shining with unshed tears, as she took in the sight. Both of them holding a baby monitor, keeping an ear on both sets of twins, and Morgan’s sweet daughter, who was sleeping soundly in Maze’s crib.

“Absolutely stunning! And Jasmin, Adriana, I know you have been through an ordeal. But I am so proud of you for stepping up, accepting our boys and your place beside them.” She smiles at them, and Jasmin has to hastily dry her eyes.

She still hasn’t told us what happened when she was in that coma. But Adriana has told snippets. They had been together sometimes, reliving the moment of rejection from the underworld, again and again. She didn’t know what Jasmin had endured otherwise, but Adriana had witnessed her most painful childhood memories repeatedly. Going to the point of the rejection and then back to the start. She had a feeling it was the same for Jasmin.

“Come on, girls. The moon is high, and we need to get you down to your mates.” Jamie says, and gestures to the door. We all look at each other, taking a deep breath and walking out to the stairs. We ascend them together, coming down in pairs.

At the bottom of the stairs, we can hear the guys talking amongst themselves. They sound happy and relaxed. Then one of them turns around at the sound if fabric and high heels. His mouth drop open at the sight of us, and I squeal inside like a little girl. All of them turn around, the silence becoming eerie.

“Well, don’t just stand there like buffoons. Don’t they look absolutely stunning?” Sally says from the entrance hall, tapping her foot impatiently at the guy’s stunned demeanour.

“You look like the goddess herself, only even more beautiful.” Matt breathes as he takes me into his arms. I blush profusely at the compliment.

“Well, Mr. Alpha, you look very dashing yourself!” I replied, kissing his cheek. All the girls are in their mates’ arms, blushing and smiling. The guys all look so smitten with their mate, and this family of mine makes me very proud to be their Queen and sister.

Outside, they gathered the entire pack under the moon. It is not full, but it is shining down upon us with its light. A makeshift stage has been raised for the occasion. We make our way down, and the small talk dies down as we get near to the stage.

When we are all there, all the parents stand with us, making the shift in the ranking official. Even though we have been ruling and deciding, we never made the shift official. An elder from the council cleared his throat.

“Silver Moon! We are gathered under the moon to watch a new generation of ranked members take their rightful places beside each other. Will everyone step forward?” We do as he says, and all the parents slice their hands simultaneously. They give us a golden dagger, and we do the same, grabbing their hands.

“Will you uphold pack laws, the laws of our fraction and rule to the best of your abilities? Will you protect, guide, and love all your members as an individual and a hole? Will you stay true to your heart and soul?” We answer yes as a solid union, feeling the shift in power. Then the others step back, as the elder, rather begrudgingly, announced us as the Queen and King – rulers supreme Court accepted by the council.

After that was said and done, Morgan pledged her loyalty to her coven and doing her Mother vows. Altering them a bit, because she, at the same time, pledged her and her coven’s loyalty towards me and Matt.

As I thought it was all done, I was ready for food. All day, the delicious smells of all sorts of food had come from the kitchen and BBQ area outside. I smiled at everyone around me, but my smile turned utterly confused as the guys dragged us girls to the front of the stage again. I looked at Matt, my eyes shining with the confusion. He only smiled down at me, laughter in his eyes.

As on count, all the six guys got down on one knee and asked us in unison.

“Baby, will you marry me?” The entire pack gasped. Not so much at their alpha’s, but one beta and Gamma had just met their mate, and they didn’t expect them all to propose at the same time. Every girl started to ugly cry. I could hear them ask in disbelief if they meant it. Especially Adriana and Jasmin couldn’t quite believe what was happening.

‘Babe, concentrate,’ Matt chuckles. I zone in on my dashing mate sitting on one knee in front of me. Then I break out of my surprise and nod.

“Yes!” We all answer as on cue. The guys swoop us up in their arms and the pack cheers.
