Luna Abigail
Chapter 7

Abigail’s P.O.V

After Matt inhales my scent and calms Blade down, I tell him I will go to the kitchen for some snacks and to prepare for lunch.

In the kitchen I ask them to mind-link me when it is ready, then we will take a break – or for me; eat while enjoying the show. It may sound cold, but Maria and Leo really gets on my last nerve, and I had learned over the years to neither show mercy nor empathy with people of their kind. Does that make me a bitch, sure, but where I come from it is survive or die?!

The guards have taken Maria back to the cells, seeing as neither of us could stand her constant thrashing and stomping. She really is a pain in the a*s.

Ring ring ring.

Suddenly, Jason’s phone goes off.

“Hello? Yes.. I don’t.. That is weird.. Yes, please and announce a pack gathering tonight.. I will.. Thanks man.” I look at Jay, who has a thoughtful expression on his face.

“What’s up Jay?” I ask in a soft voice as I walk back to my chair. Everyone’s eyes are on him.

“Hmm.. Oh, that was my best friend, Nathan. He told me he felt my Alpha link go up to full authorization, like it was there before, but weak. Pack members could disobey my orders, unless my father agreed with me, or my father could alter my commands as alpha. The pack is in a state of panic, because they believe we have gotten a new alpha. When it’s just my alpha aura that is finally free.” He looks me in the eye while saying this.

Brandon, Kaiden and Laurel look dumbfounded at Jason’s words.

“What is he talking about, Luna Abby?” Laurel asks in a small voice.

“Abby has removed a spell that bound Jason’s alpha aura to your father – we believe.” Matt answers, and I nod.

“Not only his alpha aura, but him as a whole. Even his wolf. They were bound to your father in two different spells.” I explain.

“But how do you know there were two spells, Luna?” Brandon interrupts me.

“Okay, first; stop with the Luna crap. If we are not in a situation where it demands us all to behave accordingly, we will address each other by first name, or nickname. I am clear?” I eye Brandon and Laurel, who both nod.

“Second. I know there were two spells because there were two kinds of colors, or Witch Aura, if you will. A bright red and a green color. It has to be put in place by a powerful witch, or in this case; two. And they worked both similarly and differently.” Everyone looks puzzled at this, and I sigh.

They would not like what I had to say next.

“Jay.. Your father made sure you would never be free. He bound his soul and Alpha Aura to you, so when you came of age, he would still be the one ultimately calling the shots. The other spell was to weaken your spirit, so to say. It was there to make sure you would be complaint and listen without too many questions. Also, binding you to your father, but in a master/servant kind of way.” After explaining, I am met with pure back eyes of anger around the room.

It was a lot to swallow, and Jason left to get some fresh air. He knows his father will be here in a moment, and we all need a clear head.

‘Luna, the lunch is ready.’ Ms Potter mind-links me.

Matthew stands up and helps me carry it all to the conference room. Just as we settle everything, we hear a knock. Brandon opens the door, and Leo strides in.

“Ah Leo, welcome. We were just about to have lunch. Why don’t you join us?” Matt says, welcoming. Leo watches us all carefully and sits down.

“Where is my daughter, Alpha Matthew?” He asks darkly.

“She is in the cells, down in the basement. She will join us after lunch, and then you will witness her sentence.” Matthew answers in an airy voice. He is not about to let Leo know Jason already had decided and executed the sentence.

Lunch is good, and almost everyone engages in small talk. We get to know each other more, but Leo keeps glancing at his son, who is ignoring him, and the watch on the wall. After another 45 minutes, he speaks up.

“I demand to see my daughter, and that you let her go. She has learned her lesson and WILL go home with us. Right Jason?” He asks in a commanding tone.

“No. I banished her from the pack lands, and that is final.” Jason replies, finally looking directly at his father. Leo pales. He knows the spell is gone. Matthew mind-links the guards to bring Maria up here. We can hear her from far away, still kicking and stomping. Seeing my spell to shut her up is still working wonders. I had to give it to her. She was adamant about being a bitch. Galaxy snickers at my thoughts, silently agreeing.

Third person P.O.V

When Maria spots her father in the conference room, her panic fades a bit. He will fix this, like he fixes everything else. Sure, she had insulted him back at the training grounds, but she did that all the time.

He was used to it, and besides, she had figured out his little secret. This was how she could always get her way with him. He knew she would tattle in an instant if he ever disobeyed what she wanted, and right now, that was her freedom.

She had a mutt “Luna” to dethrone, and witches to see about getting another wolf. Kiera was weak anyway, so she didn’t want her. She wanted a wolf like Abby’s, and if she had to steal Abby’s wolf to get her way – then so be it.

“Daddy. Get them to let me go.” Maria tries to yell at her dad, but nothing comes out. She is confused until her eyes fall on the smirking irksome she-wolf. Her eyes shoots dagger. She knows her father can make Jason change his decision if she could only get a sound out.

“Oh, I almost forgot. The peace was so wonderful. This really is a shame, but oh well.” Abby waves her hand, and Maria feels her voice working once again. She is about to scream when Abby warns her.

“One scream, Maria, and I will bind your voice again.” Abby says, looking directly at the fuming woman.

Maria takes a deep breath. “Daddy, make them realise me. I want to go home now.” She says, ignoring Abby and everyone else.

What she didn’t know was that Abby had removed the spells, and her dad had no power any longer. She looks at Leo with her ‘do it, or I’ll tell on you’ look.

Leo is fuming.

He knows something isn’t right when Jason went alone to the meeting. He should have been able to change his mind, like he always did when he disagreed. But it had been different ever since yesterday evening, when that meddeling half-breed Luna suddenly showed up.

Something was going on, and the power emanating from her was also different. It was calling out to his wolf, who had submitted and said he would not help anymore. Not when a true Luna had showed herself.

Leo did not know what that meant, but he had worked far too hard keeping control over his pack, to go back now. These troublesome pups don’t know what is going to hit them.

One day, the elite and pure-bred wolves of werewolf kind are going to take over.. Oh yes..

Luna’s like this half-breed Abigail will be slaves, only good enough to please their masters. She will submit or be killed. Like his own mate, she got the same choice, and she chose life.. Bastard woman..

Part wolf and part fae. He was disgusted. He had reached out to a powerful coven of witches and had them make a potion for his mate, to make sure her unpure genes would not be given to their offspring. They were pure wolves. But even then, he despised them. They had their own will, and his son actually took after his weak mother. Pathetic.

“Jason, I demand as former alpha, and your father, that you let your sister come home.” He spoke in a cold and detached voice. He hated his weak son, but his daughters were no better at all. At least Laurel had the decency to find a wolf as her mate, a ranked one at that. Now he needed Maria to marry Carl, and then get rid of Jason.. It was cold, yes. But this needed to be done for the sake of all werewolf kind. He could not afford to be soft.

“No! I banished her, and that is final.” Jason repeats.

“I will help her to the human realm and get her started. But that is that. Her crimes cannot be overlooked anymore, and this is a peace offering to our new allies.”

“She has threatened the Luna of Silver Mist, and the alpha as well. I will not tolerate anymore of this behavior.” Jason says sternly.

If his dad doesn’t like how he ran his pack, then he can leave. He will have his mother stay here, because he knows how unhappy she has always been with his dad. He has tried his best to protect her and his sisters growing up, but it has become more and more difficult the older he got. Now he knew why.

“If you don’t like this decision, you are welcome to join her. Things around here are going to change, and as I am the alpha here, you have no say. Unless there is something you want to share with me? For example, why you are always changing alpha commands, or why pack members can choose not to follow me, or why you always want to be present in events that do not need you?” Jason lifts an eyebrow. Leo now realizes; he knows. Dammit, how did he know? Leo looks around the room, and then his eyes settle on the disgusting Luna.

Abby smirks when Leo’s eyes lands on her. He seems to have figured out she removed the spells. Abby looks Leo in the eyes, all but daring him to speak. She can see his face go from pale to a deep purple/red.

“Yooou,” he says, and points a finger at Abby.

“Me.” Abby states calmly. Leo is furious, but without the help of his wolf, he can’t shift and kill her.

Little does Leo know he would never win in a one-to-one fight against Galaxy. Even if his wolf refused to recognize Galaxy as a true Luna, she would be leaps and bounds stronger than him.

She would not be someone easy to kill, and with magic on her side.. Leo’s wolf knows this, but he is not connecting with his human well these days anyway, and is adamant to keep quiet. They had had the same view of the realm once upon a time, but that was before their mate.

Kennock, Leo’s wolf, accepted their mate, no exceptions made. He loved her wolf, Shiva, and their fae side. It was who they were, and that was when the connection with Leo had cracked.

Kennock had been a proud alpha, and protected his pack at all costs, but he was not agreeing nor working with his human counterpart anymore. Kennock stayed with Leo for his mates; Jamie and Shiva, but would leave if they left them.

Abby looks on in slight amusement and decides it is time they let the cat out of the bag. She looks at Jason, who nods in understanding. But before any of this can happen, Matt orders Maria dragged out again. The guards would hold her until Alpha Jason comes to retrieve her and take her to the human realm. When the door close, Jason speaks up.

“Dad. We know.. We know what you’ve done, and why I haven’t been able to be the alpha I wanted for the pack. How could you?” Jason asks in a soft voice. There was no malice or anger, only sadness and disappointment.

“How could I not?” Leo spits back.

“You are weak, and I am disgusted with how you take after your pathetic mother.. She was no good as Luna, but she at least gave me an heir. If only I had beaten you into submission from a young age, but my lovesick puppy wolf and your mother wouldn’t let me.” Leo sends his son an evil glare. It is clear as day that he does not love or have any affection towards any of them.” Then she got pregnant with your brat sisters, and I had to play the happy daddy. At least Laurel found a wolf as her mate..” He thought of Maria.

“Both you girls were a mistake.. But your mother pleaded with me to get more children, and I let her have it. I didn’t want any of you. And Maria is a stupid bitch. Knowing full well not to be someone’s mate, and then not get a decent plan of getting him.” Leo huffs and crosses his arms.

“Who else knows about your doings?” Jason asks angrily. He is not angry on his own behalf, but on his mother and Laurels. Maria had chosen her path, and there was no turning back for her. But Laurel was innocent, and didn’t deserve this.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Leo answers back with an ‘I’m not telling shit’ attitude.

“Dad.” Laurel whispers. “Why would you have children when you don’t want them? And why be with mom, when she could have found a second chance?” Kaiden growls at the thought of Laurel not being born. He would have missed out on the perfect mate. But he understood her question.

“She doesn’t deserve to be happy. She is a lousy half-breed.” At these words, Abby jumps up.

“ENOUGH! If you will not give us answers, maybe your wolf will.” Abby taps into her powers and brings forward Kennock.

“What is your name, wolf?” Abby and Galaxy asks together.

“My name is Kennock, Luna.” The wolf answers politely.

“Kennock. We need answers, and your human counterpart is an a*****e, and I will not deal with him.” Abby huffs out, as Galaxy let her take the lead again. Kennock chuckles.

“Yeah, he is a handful. What would you like to know, Luna?”

“Who knows about Leo’s schemes?” Abby asks, annoyed that she has to waste her time when Leo could just come clean.

“Clearly Maria figured it out somehow, but who else?” Abby stands there, arms crossed. Matthew can feel his mates’ frustrations, and put his arms around her as he stands up with her.

“The beta and gamma both know. The rightful beta and gamma of the pack are Nathan and Jeremy. Their fathers were beta and gamma before, but their views of the realm did not correspond with Leo’s. He forced them to retire, to give space for the current beta and gamma. They are men he trusts, and can use to his advantage. They all think our realm will be much safer if werewolves rule all, and no species may mix. No matter the plans of our Goddesses.” Kennock explains.

“Are there any pack members who know? Does the former Luna know?” Abby has to ask, and she hopes the answer will be in favor of Jason and Laurel’s mother.

“No Luna. Neither my mate nor the pack are aware of the betrayal of their former alpha.” Kennock looks down in shame.

“Please keep my mate safe. I accepted her and everything about her when we first met. Leo didn’t. We disagreed on the matter, and have not been working as one for years.” Kennock turns and looks at Jason and Laurel.

“My pups. I am so sorry for the way Leo has treated you. To no avail, I tried to talk sense into him. I am proud of the both of you.” Kennock turns to Abby again. “And I sincerely apologies for the actions of my other daughter. She deserves her punishment and then some.” Kennock bows his head at Abby, uttering “Luna.” and Abby lets go of her magic. Matt helps her to sit down. He gives her a glass of water, which she accepts gratefully.

“Leo Danners, former alpha of the White Moon pack, I banish you from our pack. You are to leave from here, and never return to the pack lands, and never get near your mate, my mother, the former Luna ever again. If I see you near her or the lands, I will kill you on sight.” Jason spoke with authority, and looks his dad in the eyes. Leo feels the pack link and bond falter.

“You will regret this, boy.” He says before turning to storm out. Before he can get that far, Abby stands again.

“Mr. Danners.” She calls out. Leo looks at her, and Abby’s eyes shine. “I, Abigail, Queen of the Witches, True Luna of every wolf, call out to you Kennock of wolf kind. Show yourself and come forward, my child.” Leo’s eyes shine, and then his aura changes.

“You will be in control at all times, putting your human counterpart in an internal sleep.” Abby and Galaxy speak together, making their decision final.

Everyone feels the change in Leo. His features change slightly, they become more rough, and his eyes change colors. From their original color, they become the color of the midnight sky – a symbol of the permanent change shone upon him.

When the shift is done, Kennock gets down on one knee. “Luna!” He says clearly and bows his head.

Abby walks to the kneeling wolf and reaches her hand out. Kennock looks at the hand before he takes it and stands up.

Abby looks at Jason. “I think he should be allowed to stay in the pack and with his mate. He is no danger to anyone, and might help you with the ropes of being alpha.” Jason, who is in utter shock at what just happened, nods and rescinds his banishment. Kennock smiles at his son, proud of the man he is becoming.

“I promise, I will do nothing to bring danger to your or our pack.” Kennock says.

Abigail’s P.O.V

The evening is setting. Me, Matt, Kaiden, Laurel and Brandon walk up to the White Moon Pack house.

We have promised Jason to be here in support. After I have locked Leo in his mind and Kennock took over, we talked for a little while. Jason left to take care of Maria, Carl, and Macias. Tonight, he was going to address the pack as their one and only alpha. We are met with an unfamiliar young man as the doors to the pack house opens.

“Welcome. You must be all the ranked members of Silver Mist? Please come on in. The alpha, former alpha and Luna are all waiting in the living room.” He says with a big smile.

“Oh, and I’m sorry.. My name is Nathan, and I am best friends with Jason.” I giggle. His aura is so different from Carl’s. He is pleasant to be around and seems genuine in his happiness.

“Here we are. They are right inside, and I will see you all later.” He looks at Laurel.

“I am so, so happy you found your mate, Laurel. And it is good to see you out and about.” He gives Kaiden a small nod and a smile before walking away.

We walk inside and see Jason sitting with his mother, who is holding hands with her mate and smiling widely!

The Luna is petite, with long red hair, rounded ears costume to the fae people and when she turns her head; her eyes are a mixture of forest green and a bright blue. Her children definitely have a lot of traits from their mother. The woman smiles as she stands.

“Thank you for being here for my son, and thank you, Luna, for freeing him! Jason has told me everything, and I can’t express the agony and anguish I feel with my mates’ betrayal. Well, the human part of my mate.” She says, kissing Kennock on the cheek. She gives Jason a peck on the cheek, too.

“It is time, my son.” She says softly.

Jason gesture for us to follow his mom and Kennock, but asks for me and Matt to stay back.

“Will you mind standing with me on the stage tonight?” He asks nervously.

“Of course not. We will be honored to!” Matt answers, and tuck me to his side.

As we ascend the stage, people murmurs loudly. Jason holds up a hand, and everything goes quiet. Even though I can feel a lot of eyes on me, I stand tall and proud beside Matt and Jay.

“White Moon pack. I am here tonight to clear up some misunderstandings.”

“We have not gotten a new alpha, but I have been set free from two spells that have had me trapped and bound to my father. Something he made happen, and something that will never be forgiven or forgotten. Which is why his wolf is now the one in control, permanently.” People whisper in disbelief.

“I originally banished my father, but because of the gifts of the Luna of Silver Mist, his wolf, Kennock, is permanently in control and will live here with his mate. Regarding to Carl and Macias, who also knew about my father’s betrayal, I have banished them. Therefore, we are short a beta and a gamma.” He smiles at two young men, whom I assume are Nathan and Jeremy.

“Tonight we celebrate the appointment of beta Nathan and gamma Jeremy. The two who truly should have been in this position. Even though I contemplated doing a tournament, I truly believe they will fill out the post, and live up to everyone’s expectations.” The pack cheers as the new beta and gamma swear to protect and lead the pack with heart and soul, always to keep the pack in mind and help those who can’t help themselves.

“As you also know, my sister Maria made a foolish challenge towards the Luna of Silver Mist yesterday. I have banished her as well. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior. We are a family here, and it is time we show it. From now on, there are going to be changes. No one is to use rank to bully others. No one is better than the other and we help each other. I have made an alliance with Silver Mist, and as such, we help between the packs as well. Silver Mist pack members are to come and go as they please – they are our neighbors and we share borders.” Jason says, while looking over the crowd.

“New schedules will be made, and training between packs will be mandatory.” At the last statement, everything has become eerie silent.

“Am I understood?” Jason bellows in his alpha voice.

“YES ALPHA.” The pack responds.

The rest of the evening, we enjoy ourselves. We have gained a new ally, made friends and even agreed our shared borders will be open for pack members to travel to and from. Maybe more will find their mates. Who knows?

All evening I have a feeling of being watched. But I shrug it off.

As the evening ends, we all go our separate ways. This has been an eventful day.

‘I hope things settle now, Galaxy’ I tell my wolf, as we are getting ready for bed. ‘Hardly..’ Galaxy laughs.

Tomorrow I will dig more into the hole ‘Queen of Witches’ thing. Why me? And can I really be that.. Galaxy seems so sure of us, and herself. But I have my doubts. As I snuggle close to Matt and let his scent surround me, I feel grateful. He has let me be this evening, understanding I was in my world of thoughts.

‘We will talk tomorrow, my sweet Luna. I have just wanted to give you space, but we are in this together. So, we talk tomorrow.’ His tired voice sounds in my head. I k**s him and snuggle in again.

Tomorrow.
