Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3354 The Uninvited Guest
In the small garden outside the villa, Helen glared furiously at the phone in her hand, displaying an unanswered call.
"Goodness, now he won't even answer my calls. Looks like the Cunningham Family raised a traitor."
Inside the villa, Clara stood by the window, observing Helen's face twisted with anger. The mockery in her gaze deepened as she witnessed the scene unfold before her. Controlling a woman of such limited intelligence was an effortless task. She would even believe that the ideas he planted in her mind originated from her thoughts. As night fell, an unexpected visitor arrived at the villa.
Standing at the entrance, dressed in an expensive suit, Tritus wore a beaming smile, radiating warmth.
Helen opened the door and eyed him with a hint of confusion. "Who are you? I don't think I know you."
With a bright smile, Tritus introduced himself. "Ms. Freeman, I am Tritus from the Lullaby Family of Cathay."
A flicker of bewilderment crossed her eyes.
She had indeed heard of the Lullaby Family, one of the most prestigious families in Cathay. What could bring them to her doorstep today?
After recalling her interactions, she relaxed, realizing she had not offended the Lullaby Family in any way.
"I'm curious about what brings you here, Mr. Tritus."
Helen regarded Tritus with a tone laced with cordiality.
The Lullaby Family wielded significant influence in Cathay. If she could forge a connection, it would undoubtedly be beneficial to her.
Even if she had been unaware of the conflict between Tritus and Matthew, she imagined that if she had known, she might have even apologized on Matthew's behalf to Tritus.
With a congenial smile still gracing his face, Tritus retrieved a contract from his bag.
"Ms. Freeman, the reason for my visit is that the Lullaby Family has immense interest in your S&L's Breakfast. We have decided to invest five hundred million dollars into your S&L's Breakfast. What do you think?" Tritus lowered himself, extending the contract towards Helen with both hands.
"Five hundred million?" Helen's heart raced at his words as she snatched the contract from his hands and examined it closely.
Her eyes widened as she confirmed the contract clearly stated the 500-million-dollar investment, all to be provided at once. Joy flooded Helen's face.
With such a substantial sum, the business of S&L's Breakfast could expand rapidly.
She envisioned it spreading into other cities, thriving and flourishing. "Mr. Tritus, please come in. It's so hot outside. Let's talk inside." Helen's demeanor shifted entirely, as if she were a different person, now speaking warmly to Tritus.
"Is that appropriate..."
A look of hesitation crossed Tritus' face as he momentarily faltered.
"Oh, come on, Mr. Tritus. What's the harm? Come in for some tea before you go
enthusiasm, seized Tritus' arm,
Helen, overflowing with 1.9
leading him into the house.
"Well... I suppose I'll intrude then." Tritus felt a bit embarrassed as Helen ushered him inside. Their eyes met Clara's, who stood nearby. "This person doesn't mean well."
"That woman is quite adept at putting on a façade."
As Tritus regarded Clara, who looked weak and vulnerable, her cheeks still damp from tears, he curiously inquired, "Ms. Freeman, who is this foreign lady?"
Helen's expression suddenly stiffened as she noticed Tritus addressing the timid Clara, who had been shrinking back.
Family secrets should never be exposed, and Helen understood this all too well.
The situation was particularly awkward for Clara.
Helen, until that moment, had been oblivious to something important Hadn't Clara claimed to be a resident from the outskirts of
Hulwin? Why then did she have
golden hair and blue eyes?
A flicker of resentment crossed Clara's eyes, but she recognized the need to speak up.
If she remained silent, no matter how naive Helen might be, she would surely realize something was amiss.
"My father is from Dornia."
