Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)
Chapter 3355 The Alliance

In a barely audible voice, Clara weakly spoke up, her tone laced with quiet resolve. "My father was once a wealthy merchant in Dornia. After going bankrupt, he came to Hulwin and met my mother."

As her words floated into the air, the flicker of doubt in Helen's eyes dissipated. It was no surprise that Clara exuded a certain refinement in her speech and demeanor; her father had instilled in her a solid education.

Yet, beneath the surface of her composed exterior, Clara's heart simmered with anger. Her gaze fell upon Tritus, and an intense fury colored her expression. The moment he entered the room, she sensed his true intentions. This man undoubtedly shared the same objective as she did.

Initially, Clara had hoped for an alliance with Tritus. At the very least, she believed they could coexist without interference. However, she never anticipated that he would approach her with hostility right from the start.

"Mr. Tritus, please take a seat. There's no need to concern yourself with her. She is merely... a homeless woman," Helen stated, forcing out a justification while casting a glance at Clara.

Tritus nodded, slowly settling into the central seat of the plush couch. Helen furrowed her brow slightly; traditionally, guests were meant to occupy the sides. His choice to claim the central position felt somewhat disrespectful, but considering the 500 million contract he had brought, she suppressed her internal dissatisfaction.

As Helen went to pour tea, Tritus' gaze shifted to Clara. "What is your identity?" he inquired, after having lowered his voice.

Clara looked sidelong at Helen, who remained turned away and preoccupied with the pot. "I am an enemy of Matthew," she replied.

Her words brightened Tritus' expression, igniting a spark of interest within him. The saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" was exceptionally true.

Matthew's adversary could easily become an ally.

"An alliance?" Tritus spoke those two words directly, eagerly awaiting Clara's response.

After a brief hesitation, Clara nodded. "Good."

The most crucial task at hand was to dismantle Matthew's family, piece by piece. If she could not confront him openly, she would ensure his home became a nest of turmoil, driving his family apart and leaving

him in disarray.

"Mr. Tritus, please enjoy your drink," Helen chimed in, approaching with a steaming cup. Her cheerful smile radiated warmth as she set the cup down before him.

"Thank you, President Freeman," Tritus replied courteously, taking a moment to savor the aroma wafting from the cup.

Helen settled onto the adjacent couch, to Tritus' left. "Mr. Tritus, I'm curious about when this five hundred million in funds will be available," she inquired, her eyes glinting with anticipation. Tritus swallowed a sip of the fragrant tea and spoke softly. "Don't worry, Ms. Freeman. The funds will surely arrive before midnight tonight."

Upon hearing his words, a wave of

reassurance washed over Helen. The contract detailed that this 500-hundred-million investment would yield a five percent share over the next three years-terms that were practically a gift. Tritus promise that the funds would arrive by midnight sent a thrill of excitement through her.

Suddenly, the grand entrance of the villa swung open with a creak.

James strolled in, dressed casually and pulling a suitcase behind him. Upon spotting the three of them, his expression shifted to one of confusion.

"Dear, who are these two?" he asked, directing his gaze toward Helen and awaiting her introduction.

"James, allow me to introduce you.

This is Tritus from the Lullaby Family," Helen announced, rising to wave at James while gesturing. toward Tritus. "Mr. Tritus, I believe you are already acquainted with my husband, James."

With a bright smile, Tritus stood up, extending his hand to shake James'. "President Cunningham, it is an honor to finally meet you. Your daughter, Sasha, has gained quite a reputation; she is truly a remarkable woman." A hint of regret crossed Tritus' features as he spoke, perhaps reflecting on the weight of his words.
