Chapter 38 Mommy Never Gets Dirty

Unfortunately for Lucy, she underestimated Daryl's ability to easily cope with any situation.

Even though she hadn't read the revised script, she could handle it calmly.

In fact, Vivian also knew the truth. She knew what Lucy and Sadie had done.

I received the revised script after we finished the rehearsal."

She then handed the water to Daryl. "Here, drink some water. Don't be mad at me, okay?"

"Thank you."

Daryl took the water from Lucy and smiled. "This is within our scope of work. Don't worry, it's not your fault. You don't have to apologize to me."

Still smiling sweetly, Lucy replied, "Really?

I was just afraid that you would be angry at me. Well, since you don't take it to heart, I'm relieved."

After saying a few words of concern, she eventually left.

But the moment she had her back on Daryl, Lucy's bright face instantly darkened.

'I should have worn nail tips on my fingernails!'

A hint of cruelty flashed through her eyes.

Unfortunately for her, she was set to be a martial artist in this film. So, her desire to have a manicure was impossible.

'What's the rush?' Sadie smiled contemptuously. "We've been working with Daryl for two days now. You should already know that she is a pushover, right?"

In the past, Daryl had always been so weak and gullible. But because she was too famous and was protected by Sofia, no one dared to hurt her.

But things were different now-Daryl had lost her great reputation and fame. Even if Sofia protected her, so what?

Lucy could just as easily fool her.

Benjamin cared about her, and because of this, Daryl felt something warm, embracing her heart.

She was indeed lucky and blessed to have a boy like Benjamin.

After Daryl was done chatting with Benjamin, Vivian called the staff to distribute lunch.

As usual, Sofia brought food for Daryl and herself.

And while Daryl was busy stuffing her stomach with food, Benjamin was on his way to the film and television base.

The little boy rode a black Lincoln with Dillon beside him in the back seat.

"Bennie,

we've found out that Lucy went to the scriptwriter in private and had the script changed. She slapped Mrs. Ji without her knowing," Dillon reported.

Benjamin's face turned as cold as ice. He mirrored his father when the latter was utterly furious.

"The female star's name is Lucy Guan?" the kid asked coldly.

"Yes." Dillon nodded.

"Investigate her background!

We must dig out her dark side!" Benjamin commanded in a childish but stern voice. 'Yes, sir.

It was already one o'clock in the afternoon when the black Lincoln drove just right outside the film and television base.

Many people saw the car parked by the entrance. After a group of tall and strong bodyguards in black stepped out of the car, one of them opened the back door.

A young boy, who sported a European-style three-piece suit with plaid patterns, got out of the car. His thin lips were tightly pursed, and his cute, handsome face did not match his age.

The moment Benjamin got out of the car, he caused a sensation in the film and television base. Some crew even wanted to ask him if he would like to take part in the filming. But because of the intimidating bodyguards swarming around him, none of them dared to approach the young boy.

"Bennie, Mrs. Ji's set is just in front of us,"

Dillon informed and led the way for him.

As soon as Benjamin entered the filming site, he found his mother sitting in a corner eating her food.

Most of the crew had gone to take a rest after lunch, so only a few of them noticed Benjamin approaching.

"Mommy!"

Daryl didn't have the appetite to eat lunch, but Sofia insisted that she should eat to replenish her energy for the shooting.

While she was eating, she heard a boy's voice.

Looking at the direction of the voice, Daryl found that it was Benjamin. "Bennie, why are you here?"

Daryl hurriedly put down the lunch box while watching the little boy walk up to her.

She wanted to hug him, but she withdrew her hand halfway. "I'm sorry, Bennie. Mommy's clothes are dirty," she uttered while smiling awkwardly.

"It doesn't matter, Mommy."

Benjamin took the initiative to hug her and buried his little head in her neck. "In my eyes, Mommy is the gentlest and kindest person in the world. You never get dirty."
