Mommy for Billionaire's Baby -
Chapter 33 b
The meeting Nathan convened could be considered quite successful in leaving everyone who attended in shock. What Nathan revealed created its own turmoil, but he didn't care. Many were skeptical, but they couldn't deny the legitimacy of the data Nathan provided. The people collaborating with Farhan turned pale.
They didn't know how to defend themselves because the data Nathan exposed was undeniably true.
"My accusations of surveillance, terrorizing, and even threatening Mr. Farhan? Oh my. How ridiculous. All I asked from Mr. Farhan was to be accountable for all of this, including the names I mentioned earlier."
The three people involved in the Farhan case became more and more nervous in their seats. "But, sir, all of this is based on the project that exists."
Doni, Ridwan, and Rendi, the three individuals involved, with Rendi now serving as the marketing director, were speaking out. They couldn't accept everything that Nathan was presenting.
"Optima has confirmed the flow of funds, Rendi. But if you want to dispute it, go ahead. I've already reported the other files to the investigative team."
Rendi grumbled in frustration.
"So, Officer, do you know who will be apprehended, right?"
In the room, there was Alexa, who couldn't believe the amount Farhan had manipulated. Despite the fact that he was close to her family, including Jannet Sinclair from the past. He could have been in Faldom because Jannet Sinclair needed someone like Farhan. The son-in-law back then didn't say much, but Alexa thought it was understandable if Noah Sinclair followed Jannet Sinclair's wishes, including the people working within Faldom.
Leo, who had been flipping through the pages since earlier, was left stunned. He thought Faldom was running as it should. As one of the commissioners mainly responsible for project management, he didn't have a deep understanding of the finances swirling around him. It was true that Optima was the largest project contributor, but it turned out there were other interests within Faldom.
"The files and evidence to lock up Farhan are already with the legal team, Mr. Leo. I apologize for not consulting much because what I'm doing is now public knowledge, and Farhan may have already left. I'm quite surprised by the news of Farhan's escape."
"His wife informed me, Nathan."
Nathan nodded in understanding. Alexa and Farhan had a close relationship. It was natural that Alexa was well-acquainted with Farhan's family.
"But it wouldn't hurt to double-check, right?" Leo asked curiously.
"I've already taken care of it, sir. Just waiting for news."
"That means there will be significant changes at the shareholders' meeting, Nathan. In a week, we will have a major meeting about the management and the direction of Faldom for the next five years." Leo made a significant decision this time. "Understood, sir," Nathan said with a wide smile.

Tasya entered her office ahead of Nathan. On her desk, there were many documents that she had just presented in the recent meeting. Usually, Nathan followed closely behind, but this time, it seemed like there was still much to discuss with Leo in the meeting room.
She sighed deeply, wiping the sudden sweat on her forehead. She leaned back, closing her eyes to fend off the headache that was creeping in. She remembered that Nathan had bought her breakfast, which had already made its way into her mouth part of it, at least. Due to her busy morning, she had completely forgotten about breakfast. Even the hot chocolate had gone cold and was less enjoyable to drink. She wanted to warm it up, but she was also rushing to review the pile of reports.
This meeting had really drained her energy and her thoughts.
"Ugh!" Tasya clutched her stomach, wiping the sweat that had started to bead on her forehead. Her breathing was becoming uneven, accompanied by pressure in her stomach that was intensifying. She hissed, trying to contain the pain that was slowly enveloping her.
"Tasya?"
Nathan's voice. It made Tasya open her eyes immediately. Unfortunately... why was Nathan surrounded by butterflies?
"Tasya!!!"

"Why hasn't Tasya woken up yet? It's taking forever," Naina impatiently asks. She originally planned to visit Nathan's office after school. The goal was clear: to meet Tasya and ask the girl with bangs to help her with math. She had a lot of assignments, and Naina had to explain the answers in front of the class.
Instead, she found Tasya unconscious. Naina panicked.
"Be patient, Naina," Nathan rubs his niece's head. "Have you eaten?"
"I ate with Grandma earlier," Naina chooses to take Tasya's free hand. "Tasya is so thin, just like me."
Nathan doesn't take Naina's statement as a joke. He immediately observes Naina's small hand and Tasya's, which is now intertwined with the child's fingers.
"Yeah, you are thin. Aren't you eating?" he asks.
"I eat, Daddy. Why wouldn't I eat?" Naina pouts.
It's true. Even though Nathan rarely catches sight of her, Mr. Jack often gives updates on everything about Naina, especially regarding her eating habits. Except for some recent times when Naina enjoyed seeking the attention of the red-haired woman. This made Nathan realize that he lacked a lot as a substitute parental figure for Naina.
He can no longer deny that their situation is no longer the same as before. His freedom has dwindled, and he can't be too selfish with his life, especially with Naina.
"Stay with Tasya, okay? Daddy has to work over there," Nathan says.
"Okay." Naina just smiles, giving permission to the man she calls Daddy. She returns her gaze to the figure whose face still appears pale. She still doesn't want to wake up, even though Naina heard that her condition is much better now. "I have homework to do, Tasya," she whispers softly. She places her slender palm on Tasya's cheek. It's a bit cold, but Naina doesn't mind. "Don't sleep too long."
Meanwhile, on the sofa in the right corner of Tasya's hospital room, Nathan sits comfortably, trying to catch up on the many pending tasks. Although the meeting has ended, the lawyers and parties involved in the case that has ensnared Farhan are being handled well. However, he also needs information and updates. Faldom's situation suddenly became chaotic.
Not even ten minutes into diving into the stack of reports, his phone rings loudly. His mother's name appears on the screen, and Nathan can't ignore it.
"Yeah, Mom?"
"Tasya fainted?"
"Yeah, but the doctor's already taking care of her."
"I accompanied Dad for a meeting at the office. Alexa just informed me. I'm on my way to the hospital now. Is Naina there?"
"Yeah, her daughter is waiting for Tasya to wake up," Nathan grins slightly.
"What about your office?"
"Eh, it's fine."
"Mom can't accept that her child is accused like this. Make a report, Nathan."
"Ugh!" Nathan sighs. "I just want Farhan to take responsibility for everything. No need for more drama, like going abroad."
"But the police have already coordinated, right?"
"They have."
Nathan hears a relieved sigh on the other end. "Well then, you wait for Tasya to fully regain consciousness. She might have fainted because you're taking over her work, Nathan." Nathan falls silent.
"Besides, how long do you two plan on being like this? Does Mama need to bring another woman to make you realize you can't be separated from Tasya?" Nathan's mother scolds. "Ma," Nathan sighs in frustration.
"Mama's so annoyed with you!"
Nathan pouts. He gazes at his phone, which has returned to the main menu. If only it were as easy to have a relationship with Tasya, Nathan would have made a decision quickly. He's faced countless rejections because of Tasya, but he chooses to persevere, even though there are many beautiful women around.
His eyes return to the bed where Tasya still hasn't opened her eyes. He lets out a sigh accompanied by a groan as he witnesses what's happening. Naina climbs onto Tasya's bed, hugging the girl tightly, even though Nathan knows it won't disturb her much, but still.
"They're like this." Nathan stands up from his seat, leaving behind the work that Leo at Faldom is waiting for. Naina and Tasya have captured most of his attention. How could they not?
When Tasya suddenly slides from her chair, Nathan is clearly in panic. Just this morning, she seemed cheerful even though she didn't talk much. One thing Nathan regrets is ordering waffles. His steps halt when he's right at the edge of Tasya's bed. His eyes won't move from observing the peacefully sleeping figure. The doctor gave her a pain reliever, which has a slight sedative effect. His hands reflexively reach out to tidy up Tasya's disheveled hair.
"Don't disturb Tasya, Naina," Nathan warns.
"Okay, Daddy." Naina hugs Tasya even tighter. "I'm sad that Tasya is sick, Daddy."
Nathan can only smile, letting Naina close her eyes next to Tasya. Nathan doesn't move anywhere except to watch over them. "Still not waking up?" he asks Tasya for the umpteenth time. She's still lying there with her eyes closed, her face still looking pale.
"Nathan?"
Her eyes have trouble opening.
"I miss you, Tasya."
Once again, she hears Nathan's voice, faint but close. Slowly, her eyelids start to move. Tasya tries to adjust to the bright light greeting her eyes. There's a soft groan, and when her eyes fully open, she frowns and smiles faintly. "Naina?" How can this little girl be by her side? Curled up with her eyes closed soundly? Still wearing her school uniform? Many questions suddenly flood her mind as she opens her eyes. Also... "Ugh!"
The pain in her stomach starts to return, and she notices that her hand is having some difficulty moving freely.
"Tasya?" Nathan asks.
At that moment, Tasya's eyes met Nathan's, who was smiling nearby. There was a look of relief in her eyes. Did Tasya make Nathan worried?
"Are you awake now? Do you still feel anything? Should I call the doctor?" Nathan asks.
"No," she says with a gentle shake of her head. "Naina is asleep, Nathan. Let's wait for now." She needs to think fast. If the doctor comes to this room now and checks her condition, what about Naina? The little girl's sleep might be disturbed, right?
"Do you want to go back to sleep?"
Tasya shifts her position slightly, asking Nathan to adjust the blanket so that the white fabric wraps around Naina's peacefully sleeping body. Despite feeling some discomfort around her upper abdomen, she's willing to endure it to ensure Naina's rest is undisturbed. She just needs to move carefully, aware that one of her hands has an IV tube attached.
"Let's call the doctor later, Nathan. I'm okay."
"Okay but still, fainting?" Nathan sighs in frustration.
"I myself am puzzled why I fainted," Tasya says with a faint grin. "But I'm feeling better now."
"I can't trust your words anymore, especially when it comes to eating," Nathan retorts.
Tasya wants to laugh, but it's not possible because she still feels some pain in her stomach. Her hand without the IV extends, and Nathan reflexively approaches to feel how soft Tasya's hand is when she touches him. Her slender palm touches part of Nathan's face, gently caressing it. They gaze at each other as if they were a couple in the throes of love. Slowly, Nathan closes his eyes to savor how Tasya is treating him. Nathan... is addicted.
"I'm glad everything's over, Nathan. It was only Bu Nadine who troubled me."
"I've taken care of that," Nathan says without having to open his eyes. He captures Tasya's hand in his touch. "You just rest, Tasya."
"Thank you."
Nathan's eyes open. Regardless of anything, Tasya's smile this time is so beautiful, even though her face is still pale.
"Ugh, can Daddy and Tasya not be so noisy?" Naina grumbles, annoyed. "I'm so sleepy."
Tasya quickly withdraws her hand, although it takes some effort.
"Besides, Daddy said he's working. What kind of work is it? Working on Tasya again?"
