“Did you send Miya to pack house? ” I ask before step out of the car. I’m not ready to tell Moya about Nora yet. So I tell her to go ahead.

“Yes, Alpha…” Jax said nervously. He look nervous and uncomfortable from last night. Something bothering him I can feel it. I need time to ask him. But right now I need to meet Nora and try to talk about the past, I hope she give me time to explain myself. Today is going to the big day.

‘Mate is inside… Come on I want to see her…” James was being excited.

“Let’s go.” I step out of the car.

Jax walk front of me to show me how to get in. He opened the front gate and we walk into the front yard. I can smell Leo close by, after walk further I see him in the garden. But he is not alone. The small girl was him holding in his arms. when we get close I see she is a cute little girl.

‘Who is she? ‘ I thought and stop in middle in surprise that the little girl look like Nora. same nose and Amber eyes, her hair was brown.

She crying and Leo try to coax her. Don’t know why, my heart feel pain seeing her crying face.

‘what happened Alpha? ‘ Jax ask using mind linking.

‘Nothing… let’s go.’ I said. And look back to the girl. Now she smiling at Leo and hug Leo. Now I can see her face clearly. She smile like a Nora.

‘She is our Mate’s daughter. ‘ James said surprised.

‘Maybe.’ I’m not sure but if it’s true that’s mean she and Leo… No. I don’t want to think further.

I heard James growl in displeased. I take a deep breath and look at her, her eyes meet mine and she smile sweetly. She wave her hand for me and tell Leo that we are here. But I know before she tells Leo to smell us. That’s why he turned to us with an angry look.

Leo holds her close to him in a protective way. That made me uncomfortable. I want to hold her in my arms. To protect her, to love her. I don’t know why I’m feeling this way, but I want so desperately.

But Leo that guy get so angry to see me here. We just meet last night. He started disrespects me, but I’m ok with that. I know because what I did to Nora make him act like that.

So I ignored him and look back at the baby girl. She look like a little angel. She looking at me, I ask who is she and as usual, Leo snapped at me.

I sigh helplessly. But her eyes land on me and she smile at me.

“Hello, uncle… I’m Gabby. Are you a friend of my Daddy? ” She wave her little hand and ask cheerfully.

“Yes.” I nod softly. I love her smile.

“Daddy? So is she your daughter? ” Jax asked surprised tone. He look a bit nervous. I never thought he get nervous by a little girl too, as he get nervous around women.

His words somehow make me sad too… I feel hurt in my heart after hearing him.

“Yes, Gabby is my daughter… Mine and Nora’s pup.” Leo said proudly.

“Your and Nora’s daughter? ” I grows displeased. I held my anger and put on smile on face.

Because of my wish to hold her in my arms was rose up more and more, so step forward to closed to Leo.

“Hey, you are Gabby, right? wanna come to uncle? ” I spread my hand in front of a baby girl. Gabby look at me. She look worried about something, maybe she was thinking about my questions. She not decide what to do.

“No… You better…” Leo want to scroll me.

“Can’t you be some respectful? Don’t forget he is Alpha. ” Jax cut him middle. He doesn’t like the tone Leo use to talk to me. He is true Beta. I’m proud to chose him. He respect me as he have to do.

“Respectful? To him? He is your Alpha, not mine… so… hey…” Before he complete his sentence Grabby jump on my arms.Gabby is one who learn on me so I can take her in my arms.

When I hold her close to me I feel my heart got happy. She is so light and soft like cotton candy. Her skin soft like cream. Now when I hold her close I can see she more look like Nora. And I can smell Nora on her. Leo’s smell on her too, makes me uncomfortable again.

‘Our Mate’s daughter…’ James said getting calm by her smell.

‘Yes, I can smell her. I want to hold her like this my whole life, never want to leave her.’ I said to him.

“I agree with you. But she is Leo’s daughter too. If you never reject Nora in the first place, then she had our daughter or son with us. But you make her carry another wolf’s pup… I’ll never forgive you for this.’ James said displease.

‘I know I’m so stupid that time, but you know why I do that? Miya having our pup. I can’t leave her to suffer.’

‘She never takes care of our pup that time. And not care of future. That why I won’t allow her to close to us. I don’t want her to kill our another pup. She is the reason that I’m not with my Mate. And she is the reason that you lost your first pup. She is not suitable for carrying our pup. Only Nora can do that And she will be carrying our pup very soon. I’ll make sure that happened soon as possible. ‘James’ words hurt but it is true that Miya’s mistake make us lost our pup.

‘I know I was wrong, and I’m sure I’ll fix this. But Miya still your Luna. So you don’t have to…’

‘She is your Luna… Not mine. My Luna will be Nora. No other she-wolf going to take her place.. No one going to change that. Not a one you…’ James is so stubborn.

‘Fine… Fine. Now late me enjoy time with this little girl. I feel so calm.’

‘I agree with you. when we take Nora back to packhouse we take this girl with us too. She will be our daughter .’ James said.

‘Not a bad idea.’ I agree with him.

” You better give me my daughter back… don’t you dare to hurt her… “Leo grow in anger at me. Here he go again. Can’t he get tired scrolling me. He know me well that I’m not going to step back no matter what he say.

“Leo seriously? Did you really think I will harm this baby girl? She is just kids Leo. I’m not heartless or evil as you thought.” I side desperately. How can he think I’ll do that to Nora’s daughter? Soon she will become my daughter too. And I never attack pups and women in first place.

“huh! I know how much you can be heartless and evil… So don’t hide it. ” Leo said mockingly.

‘Ouch, that’s hurt more.’ I feel his words stab in my heart.

“Leo, I’m warning you… Respect the Alpha…”Jax growl at him angrily.

Gabby shiver in my arms as she hearing their argument, She hold my neck in fear. I hold her more close me.

“Jax -Leo relaxed. you scaring the girl.” I said in a low voice.

“It’s your fault..” Leo rolled his eyes annoyingly.

“hum…”Jax look away to calm down his anger.

“Did you both plans to stay here the whole day?” Sally’s voice make both of us turned.

She was walking to them with a soft smile. I meet Leo many time when I was little boy. She always favor me no matter how much I make mess. Leo always completing that Sally love more then him. And I know why she love me. Because she best friend of my mother. They got same time Mate. They are very close to each other.

Now that I see her coming toward me to rescue from her angry wolf kids.

“Alpha Carter, what’s bring you here? ” She bow respectful to me and asked.

Ha… eone she know how to respect my title.

“Mom, Alpha Carter injured by Rogue attack. he need to place for his rest, so no one disturbed him. So I bring him here. I hope you don’t mind if Alpha stay here five more days. ” Jax said in hurry.

“Of course, it’s an honour that Alpha stay here.” Sally smiled at them.

I secretly nod at her.

“Mom… No…” Leo try to protest.

“First of all. You both come inside to have tea and breakfast. Gabby, baby come down. uncle is injured, he maybe feel hurt if you stay up there. ” Sally said angel in my arms.

“Uncle, who hurt you like this? ” Gabby asked with an innocent face. She look worried.

“Bad people…” I answer quietly.

“Oh! but don’t worry Uncle, if they come back to hurt you then I, sister Abbey and brother Ace beat them. Daddy teach us how to fight and protect others. So don’t worry we protect you. ” Gabby said and a pat on my shoulder.

“Ha.. ha… ha… I’ll look forward that day then. Did you have more sibilance? ” I laugh cheerfully at her talk.

‘She talk like Nora. ‘ James said.

I’m agreed with him. I already like Gabby very much.

“Yes, I had brother and sister… They are the same age as me. But they are big from me, just five-six minutes. We are triples.” Gabby show her fingers to me.

“Triples? ” I murmured myself.

‘Four years and he make three pups with… our Mate? Did he see our Mate as baby making machine or what? ‘ James growl in anger.

‘Most is she allow him to touch her like that… Did she really forget about me? ‘ I feel sad somehow.

“Such lovely girl, you are so lucky, Leo.” Jax smile compliment at Leo.

“Thanks.” Leo didn’t help but smile.

“Shall we go inside? “Sally ask.

‘Yes… Now I want to see her more. I want asked her why she do this to me? I’m not blame for what happened that time. I want her that’s why I mark her that time. But you ruined everything. ‘ James shouted in anger.

‘Come on man. I say sorry many time to you. why you still getting angry at me? Can’t you just forgive me once? I promise I’ll do correct all thing.’ I say frustration.

‘I want to forgive you… but when I try to forgive you, the mess create by you make me stop. I am now see what’s happened this four years. After you reject her. Now I’m not going to forgive you until Mate forgive you first. Then I’ll forgive you. Until then don’t ask forgiveness…’ James said seriously.

I lost for words. I hope Nora forgive me.

” I’m against this mom. Nora is here… What if… ” Leo try to say something.

‘You will be there to handle her…’ Sally said from mind linking.

Leo look displeased but remained quiet. Did they hidden something from me?

“Uncle put me down…”Gabby suddenly said.

“Why? don’t you like uncle carrying you? ” I asked in sad tone. The thought of she leave for Leo make me sad and hurt..

“No. I like that uncle carrying me. You feel so warm and smells like brother Ace. But you feel hurt if you carry me. You are injured. ” She said with worry tone.

She see the bandage on my shoulder as I picked her up. Anyone can see my bandages.

“Are you worried about me…” I Ask looking to her.

She just nod. I nod at her back and put her down. I ruffled her silky hair. She look up at me and smile sweetly. She hold my hand and on another side, she hold Leo’s hand.

“Come on Daddy -Uncle…” She started walking.

Leo and I look at each other and walk with her without saying words. Jax and Sally follow them behind.
