Nora opens her eyes and looks around. She feels so tired from sleeping too long in bed. Her mind recalled what happened in the living room. The fight between Leo and Carter. And Carter’s wolf takes control of him and claims that she is his Mate. The thought of him still her Mate makes her scared. When he tried to touch her she had panic attacks.

‘Why is this all happening now? After four years? Why did you come back to my life, Carter? Why?’ Nora holds the painting head in hand.

Suddenly one thought crossed her and she sat up on the bed. She pulled the sheets aside and got out of the bed in a hurry. Her head spinning in sudden pressure. But still, she ran out of the room. She was running in the corridor like a drunken person holding her head. Suddenly her feet twisted and she fell to the floor.

“Ah…” She cries in pain holding her knees. She struggles to get up but her weak body won’t help her.

“Hey, are you ok?” A familiar voice makes her more scared. She holds her knees close to her chest and cuddles in the ball.

“Don’t be scared… It’s me, Jax… I’m not Carter…” Jax’s low gentle voice made her look up at him. She smells warm honey and makes her relaxed. Jax looking at her full of worried expression.

Jax knees in front of her making sure that she won’t get scared. Seen his calm and worried face and his warm honey smell field with her vision. Her body began to calm down. She hardly gets up and sits on the floor.

“Can I help you? You look weak… I want to help you…” Jax said, spreading his palm in front of her.

Nora looked at his palm and began to think about something.

“I won’t hurt you… I promised.” Jax coax her like a baby.

Nora looks at his Grey eyes. She sees lots of care and love in them. Her face silently hit up. She can feel he will protect her as he says.

‘He is not like him…’ her heart said to her. She got surprised by her own thoughts.

Jax feels hurt when he sees she won’t respond to him. He was going to take his hand back. But she put her hand on his palm. Both feel sparks run to both bodies.

“Oh!” He looks at her with a smile. He looks so happy just being touched by her.

‘He looks so cute…’ The thought makes her blush.

“Can you try to get up?” He asked gently.

Nora just nods at him. He helps her to stand up. He was so carefully holding her in his arms.

Nora’s body got heated up by his touch. She learns about him more to get his smell more. He was so tall she could hear his heartbeat. She wants to jump into his arms and stay like that forever. She feels more embarrassed about her thoughts.

‘How can I think about him like this? He is Beta and more than he even not my Mate or my crush at all. Then why I feel him more closely than anyone? even Leo won’t able to come close. like he is… Did he used some charms of what?’ She thought and looked away from him. She can feel his eyes still on her.

“You can let me go now…” She said in a low voice. Her voice was a bit broken and harsh. She felt her throat hurt.

“Your voice… Did your throat hurt? I’ll call Leo..?” He panicked after hearing her voice.

“My throat is dry… That’s why… I need water…” Nora said in a broken voice.

“I’ll bring water to you right away… Hold on here…” Jax got more worried about her.

When he removes his hold on her. Nora’s backside began to fall. But Jax held her in time. And hold her more closely to him.

“Shit… You were so weak… Why are you walking out of the room when you are so weak?” He said in a frustrated tone.

“I want… To see my kids…” Nora said in a low broken voice.

He got speechless hearing her answer. He can’t find words to say anything further.

“My body is weak because I never eat the whole day… And that medicine makes me weaker.” Nora said, looking down at the floor.

Jax looked at her worried.

“You can leave me here. I’ll be ok on my own…” Nora said and tried to get free from him.

“I can’t… I can’t leave you alone here… You will get hurt yourself… I’m helping you go get their room… Ok.” He said in a hurry. His grip on her shoulders tightened.

“Ok… This way…” Nora gives up as soon as she feels his touch on her shoulders. She wants him to touch her more. She bit her lips and avoided looking up at him. She can feel his eyes never leave her. She accepted his help.

“Ok… Take steps slowly… Ok… Don’t rush ok… one by one… ” Jax led her to walk. He was so nervous and worried about her getting hurt.

Nora couldn’t hold back and began to laugh at his childish words. Jax first got confused but soon he stared at her laughing face. Seeing her happy face, his eyes sparkling like stars. Something in his eyes makes her stop laughing and blush deeply.

“Ahem… I’m not the baby that showed me how to walk for the first time…” Nora said, looking on the other side to avoid looking at his face. She has his eyes on her, because his deep voice make heart beat faster.

“Sorry… I was just…” Jax tries to hide his embarrassed behaviour.

“Shall we go?” She cut him in the middle. She didn’t want to make him embarrassed as he had already.

“Yes…” He nodded in a hurry.

Nora began to walk slowly with Jax’s help. Both walk quietly. taking warmness from each other.

‘Why does his touch feel so good? I want to stay like this with him. In his warm arms smelling his warm honey scent. Why do I feel attracted to him? my body wants to attack him and touch his whole body as much as possible.’ Nora felt so confused by her wild thoughts. His scents driving her crazy. And she finds it hard to hold herself. her down side was wet without her notice. She holds herself when she feels his hand tighten around her and low lustful growls leave his lips. Then she smells herself. She cursed herself.

“Here we are… Kids were in this room…” Max’s gentle but deep voice makes it back to reality. She looked at him and then the front door.

“Thanks for helping…” Nora said, looking up to him. He looked so tall and manly when he was closed.

“I’ll be happy to help you… So if you need help in the future, ask me anytime…” He said wrinkles to her with a smile. He looked a bit less nervous.

“Sure…Beta…” Nora nodded happily.

“One more thing… Can you call me by name? I don’t like to be called by Beta though… So…Mind if you call me…”

“Jax… I know your name…”Nora said in a low voice.

” Oh… Mmm… Can you call my name again one more time?” He requested her hopeful tone. He heard his name from her.

Nora laughs at his childish act. Then again he began staring at her smiling face. Nora feels her cheeks heat up and heart beating loudly.

“Jax, stop looking at me like that…” She said softly.

“I can’t help it…” He chuckles softly.

Nora is going to talk more but suddenly the door open sound makes them go to the door. Ace was standing on the door.

“Mommy, are you awake?” Ace asked cheerfully.

“Oh… My Baby…” Nora looks at Ace and try to hug him. But Jax won’t give her a chance to bend down.

“Hold on… You will fall if you try to bend. You are weak, you know this right?” Jax’s voice is low but clear.

“Mommy… Are you not feeling well?” Ace asked in a worried tone.

“Not at all baby… You know your Mommy is strong? I just feel weak because I never eat…” Nora tries to explain to him.

“Oh… Then come inside… I’ll bring food for you…” Ace said hurry. He gives space to walk both inside.

“Wait Ace… I’ll be here to help your Mommy… So I will be the one that brings food for her. First she needs to sit, then I’ll bring food… You need to stay with your Mommy… Ok.” Jax said in a hurry.

“Ok uncle…” Ace nods in understanding and points to his empty bed. The other one was taken by Abby-Gabby. They are in deep sleep.

‘Ace listening to him… He trusts Jax…’ Nora thought and won’t help but stare at him with widened eyes.

Jax helps her to sit on bed. He put one pillow on her back. Ace sat beside her. Jax feels Nora’s eyes as he stands straight. His eyebrow got up in question. She shook her head and turned her attention.

“Are you reading the book?” Nora looks at the open book on the bed.

“Yes Mommy… Grandpa teaches me how to read.” Ace said cheerfully.

“But it’s sleeping time baby… If you wake up a long time in the night you get a dark circle.” Nora said, ruffling his hair.

“I won’t wake too much in the night… Ok Mommy?” Ace said.

“Come here… ” Nora waved her hand to him.

Ace jumped on her warm hug. Nora hugs Ace and gives him lots of k****s. She was so scared that If Carter found out that both kids were his and he would snatch kids from her.

Jax is just enjoying a lovely talk between Mother and son. They forget about him in a short time. But seeing scared face he got tensed.

“Mommy, don’t be scared.” Ace said, patting her back softly.

“Ace… Let me stay like this… Mommy won’t feel scared… Ok.” Nora murmured under his neck sniffing his scent.

“ok… Mommy…” Ace said and hugged her more tightly.

‘My kids are only mine… I have to make sure he won’t know about the kids ‘ secrets.’ Nora thought in her mind and slowly began to calm.

“I’ll bring something to eat…” Jax’s low voice makes her more calm. He looked at her and began to relax . He left the room.

“Mommy uncle Jax is good Man.” Ace said.

“Hum..? Did you like him?” Nora asked him.

“Yes, he is like uncle Leo… We talked this evening. He is so caring and has a soft heart…” Ace said.

‘He won Ace’s heart so soon… I hope he is not like him.’ Nora shakes her head and goes back to Ace.
