I heaved a sigh not knowing what to say to them.

I knew this was hard for them because this was the first time that he wasn't here to take them to school and I knew that my kids were already used to him so he had to be here.

"Your uncle Jayden went on a little trip and you know what, he isn't back yet but when he returns I would tell him to come see you guys, you know "I explain looking at Beckley, who had a cold look on his face. I made sure I took all of their backpacks and we all walked out of the house.

It was already 7:30 in the morning and I knew I had to be at work before 8 or else I would be late but what I understood was I was going to get there before that time.

They cab drove over and me and my kids got in.

I heaved a sigh of relief.

I knew I didn't have enough money to get a car, I had spent all the money I got from my company on myself and the kids and it was that nice because I don't even have a car and never had this kind of life. "Mom are you okay ".

I turned to look at Crystal who looked like she was searching for something on my face.

Crystal hadn't said a word since morning and for a second I thought that something was wrong with her.

"Am fine my love "I told her and kissed her cheeks softly.

The cab pulled in front of their school and stopped.

"Thank you sir "I said and handed him a dollar note.

I grabbed Crystal and carried her up while carrying her into the school while my two boys walked on bare foot.

I could see the way most of the kids looked at them and most of the Little girls waved at Beckley and Campbell, but the two of them didn't bother to show any attention.

I dropped my little girl off with the teacher.

"You kids take care "I told them and with that I rushed out of the school and went back to work.

By the time I got to the company it was already 8:30 am.

This was the first time that I had been late to work.

Most of my colleagues looked at me weirdly.

Well, I didn't even bother to greet them because most of them never liked me because of my relationship with Jayden.

I ignored the stairs and took the elevator straight to my office.

The moment I got in, the first person I saw was Jayden.

I sat down on the chair the moment I got in, my field and stuff were stool the way I left them.

the telephone rang and I hesitantly picked it up.

"Come over "his voice came from the other line and immediately he ended the call.

I stood up from the chair and Wore my shoes, I didn't know what was going on Jayden but knew that whatever that it was, it wasn't a nice one, I could tell from his behaviors.

I walked calmly into his office and the moment I walked in he raised up his head to Stare at me.

"Why were you so late?" he asked as he hit the files he had in his hands on the desk.

I knew Jayden for a long time and I know that he did this because he was angry and was trying so hard to hold his anger.

The stare I got from him the next moment made me feel like I should just die instead.

Jayden looked at me and stood up from his chair and smiled at me.

"It seems like I have Been too free with you that you now have the guts to talk to me just the way you like just because you feel like we are close you could adress me anyhow, I guess this job isn't that important to you "Am sorry sir "I replied, bowing my head down trying so hard to hold the tears that were already forming in my eyes.

Jayden threw a glance at me and looked away.

"If you keep on behaving this wsy, you would get sacked for your incompetent behavior he scoffed and I just nodded my head.

The door to his office opened the moment he finished talking.

I turned and I met the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.

Jayden had told me that the popular model Kyle was his sister but I never believed it. Seeing her walk into the office made me keep my doubts.

"You really did a Nice job taking care of the company "she commended. smiling as she walked towards him getting to where he was, she pecked him slightly on his cheeks.

I could see the way she stared at me from head to toe.

The girl looked at me and smiled without saying a word. I knew I didn't know what was in her mind but I knew I was dying so much to know what it was.

"You look kind of familiar, like I have seen you before "she told me, staring at me.

I didn't drop my gaze to the Floor or try to fidget and look away. One thing was that mom never taught me to be scared of people no matter your position and that was something I held on to.

I must admit the fact that I felt like this girl looked somehow like me, because we had almost the same height, her nose, and her face looked the same.

"Am talking to you and when I do, you reply to me and don't dare to keep me silent girl "she yelled.

A smirk suddenly appeared on her face.

I knew she was trying so hard to hold herself from bursting, I guess I had just jumped on her ego.

"You really got some nerves girl, you work in my father's company and yet you still have the guts to talk back at me

I walked closer to her, that I was standing in front of her.

"The fact that I work in your father's company doesn't mean that am just some kind of piece of shit that you can just step on the way you like, you should know I have some right and just so you don't know, am a woman like you and I deserved some respect no matter the condition I find myself ".

"Get her fired Jayden, I don't ever want to see her here again"the girl said

The moment she said those words, I could feel the hurt in my heart, it was just as if my heart had Been Pierced and I could feel the pain no matter how hard I tried.

This job was more like a lifesaver to me. If I lost this job, it would be so hard for me to get another. What about my kids? How was I going to take care of them? "Jayden I won't repeat myself.

I watched Jayden nervously, the moment our eyes met, he looked away, I knew he had so much in his mind.

I watched him walk to the cupboard and pour himself some coffee, he only did that when he was angry.

The horrible looks didn't leave the girl's face, knew she was surprised, I guess I knew why.

The girl walked out of the office hitting her shoes on the floor. I knew she was really angry.

The moment she left, the office was suddenly covered with quietness.

"Am sorry "I whispered, not knowing what to say.

I heard those words and it felt like it sent a dagger directly to my chest. I could feel the pain.

I turned and Walked out of the office without looking back.

Walking out of office I couldn't help but hit my shoes on the Floor Angrily.

In my years of living in this earth, never had I Been intimidated or looked down on by any fucking commoner the way I was today.

That moment she walked straight to Me and stood directly to me. I swear I felt like something had gone right into my chest. I felt scared, yes I was scared of that girl and it's the most shocking thing to ever happen to me. I could see the way he looked at me, I knew I had never shown him this side of me before and this was just the first time of me doing so but I was going nuts.

I knew that I shouldn't have come here but then I couldn't help it. I had to and this is all my fault that I had to go through this mess or even see her dirty face.

I got into the car and the next moment I felt my phone vibrating from my bag beside me.
