I looked up at him as Hendrix was getting a little too much. I said, "It's your fault. What do you mean by 'is that okay with you'? It sounds like I'm forcing you. What's with that tone of yours?" Hendrix still replied patiently, "What kind of tone do you want me to use then?"

Evan was driving the car, and I couldn't help feeling a little playful as I said, "Mr. Roberts, will you do exactly what I ask you to?"

Hendrix raised his eyebrows while playing with my hand as he said gently, "Nope!"

Exasperated, I retorted, "You were just trying to coax me like a kid, weren't you?"

He smiled faintly, and the smile on the corners of his lips was particularly pleasant, "As long as the child here is happy, I don't mind coaxing her!"

I glared at him, "You're the kid here. I don't need you to coax me."

When we returned to the villa, it was already a little late in the evening. I went straight into the bathroom to take a bath. Hendrix sat on a fancy chair to read the book that he supposedly hadn't

finished.

Half an hour later, I came out of the bathroom and saw him reading the book seriously. I wiped my hair and couldn't help myself from walking over to him. Sitting next to him, I looked at the book in his hands and said, "You've read this book several times before already."

He looked up and discerned the smell of alcohol on me. He frowned slightly and said, "Don't drink that much in the future."

I leaned against him and argued, "I didn't drink much. It was Linda and Naomi who drank so much. I was just accompanying them. I didn't even get drunk. I'm fully sober!"

He raised his eyebrows. Looking stern, he reminded me, "Unless you are with me, you aren't allowed to even drink a sip of alcohol!"

I pursed my lips and muttered, "You're just being overbearing!"

He curled his lips, put down the book in his hands, and took the towel in my hand to wipe my hair for me, saying, "Since you've acknowledged your identity as Mrs. Roberts, I naturally have to be concerned with your daily affairs."

I felt exceptionally comfortable with him wiping my hair, so I stopped arguing with him and closed my eyes to enjoy his treatment.

Thinking about the company's matters, I couldn't help but ask again, "Are you still going to withdraw from the Lancille Village project?"

For the past few days, although he had not told me anything about it, I was feeling anxious about the Milton Group continuing on in such a state.

"There's no rush!" he said with his voice sounding faint and indifferent.

I replied with a hum, still a little worried, "How long will this continue on?"

He raised his eyebrows, replying, "You should ask Sebastian about this!"

It seemed to be that way. If the Lancille Village project was about to start, he had to find connections everywhere to do so!

Hendrix then brought up going back to Jarold City as he held my shoulder and said, "Have you decided when to go back to Jarold City with me?"

I pursed my lips and said lazily with my eyes half closed, "Didn't we talk about it before already? We have to finish the Lancille Village project. How can we give up halfway?"

"Can I regard you being so persistent about it as because you don't want me to withdraw from the project?"

I leaned into his arms and said with a laugh, "Mr. Roberts, it's fine if you want to regard it in that way. After all, I'm in charge of the Lancille Village project, and I really don't want to give up on it halfway." He looked down at me, and I blinked a few times. I could clearly see his throat moving slightly in an alluring way.

He reached out to pinch my cheek and lowered his head to kiss me.

It seemed that he liked to kiss me out of the blue, and I had gotten used to such treatment after a few days. I subconsciously swung my arm around his neck and kissed him back.

Probably learning such a trick from him, I held his neck with one arm and pinched his earlobe with the other hand. I found that he seemed to be really sensitive there. After a few caresses, his cheeks were flushed red.

I let go of his hand and looked at him with a smile, "Hendrix, how sensitive your ears are."
