Hendrix's laughter came from the other end, his voice sounding extra seductive as he asked, "I'm almost home. Have you had dinner?"

I hummed in assent and began to think about how to tell him that I was in Lancille Village. I asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

"Yes, I have!"

I smiled and said, "Good boy, you know how to take care of yourself. By the way, I came to Lancille Village this morning, and I have a lot of things to do. So, I'm going to stay here tonight."

He only gave me a hum of assent, but the joy in his voice faded a little. He said with some disappointment, "I'm going to sleep alone at night?"

I laughed and said, "Well, I was all alone in the morning. So, where were you during the day? Who were you with?"

I had to admit that my way of changing the topic wasn't that great.

He said honestly, "I met Austin. Can you come back tomorrow? Let's have dinner together."

I thought for a while and realized that I had too many things to do, so I was unable to meet up the next day.

Somewhat apologetically, I replied, "I don't think so. What's the matter? Do you have anything to do?"

He replied, "I have to go back to Jarold City. I have something to deal with in the company."

He had been in Asherton for almost two months. There had to be a lot of unattended matters in Jarold City and he would face losses if he continued to stay.

"When are you going to leave?" There were too many things to deal with, so we had both been busy.

"Tomorrow!" he replied, his voice deep. "Evan will stay here. If you need anything, you can look for him!"

I nodded in agreement.

After a moment, Naomi came out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, and looked at me. "Dear, have you considered not flaunting affection in front of me?"

I smiled faintly and hung up on Hendrix. Then, I looked at her and said, "You're dressed up quite nicely. Are you going out?"

She wore a black, short strap dress. The dress was quite short, only reaching her thighs. It looked sexy and beautiful, but it was inevitable that she would feel cold if she wore it in such cold weather. Grinning, she circled me and said, "Let's not talk about whether it's cold or not. Just tell me if it's sexy."

I nodded. She dried her long hair, rolled it up, and put on some light makeup. Then, she found a fox fur mink coat and put it on. She looked fashionable and sexy, but at the same time, she gave off the aura of a seductress.

She was stunned, probably not expecting me to suddenly become so serious. She nodded slightly and said, "I know that. No matter what, I will protect myself."
