My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 1120
She looked at me with a confused look and said, "Are you sure we saw him?"
I shook my head. That man had really been Sebastian. However, what had he gone there for? A meeting?
I looked at the building again and asked, "Normally, what kind of people come to this place?"
Naomi thought for a moment and said, "Just some officials who sometimes have guests for diplomatic purposes. However, it's far from the city area, so very few people come here. Some local officials from Lancille Village do as well. They don't stand out."
I didn't mull over it too much. Sebastian had only appeared for a moment. Since I and Naomi were out to have fun, I continued taking pictures for her.
It was late at night after we had finished visiting all the famous tourist spots to eat and play. When we returned to the hotel, we immediately undressed and slept.
The next day, Naomi laid flat on the bed and said to me, "I'm not going out today. I'm going to rest and make up for lost sleep."
I nodded. She was from a rich family and never had to work like normal people. Ziglar had so many investments that even if she decided to not work for her entire lifetime, the inheritance she would get could sustain her daily living expenses.
As soon as they walked out of the hotel, Hendrix called. "Are you awake?" His voice was gentle like the breeze on a windy day.
I smiled faintly as I replied, "I woke up a long time ago. I'm going back to the base now!"
"Hmm," he answered. Then, he asked, "How about breakfast?"
"I will buy breakfast on the way!" I said. The hotel actually provided breakfast in the morning, but I had gotten up early, so I had to buy breakfast outside.
He said, "Remember to eat on time!"
I couldn't help laughing and said, "Hendrix, you're nagging a little too much."
Hendrix was silent for a few seconds before he suddenly lowered his voice and said, "Arianna, I miss you so much right now."
My mind went blank for a moment, and a smile spread across my lips. "Hendrix," I said, "I miss you a lot too."
As he laughed in a low voice, the sun in September seemed to shine brighter than usual.
Evan parked the car at the entrance of the hotel and waited for me. I said goodbye to Hendrix on the phone and got into the car.
As soon as I got into the car, Evan handed me a beautifully packaged box and said, "Madam, please have your breakfast first!"
I couldn't help feeling stunned. I looked at him and said, "How did you know I haven't had breakfast?"
He started the car and said with a smile, "Mr. Roberts sent me a message. Besides, I stayed here to take care of your meals every day." Alright!
Gradually, one would find that most of the time, so-called happiness was simply the feeling of being cared for by others. It was a privilege.
When I arrived at the base, I happened to see Sebastian getting out of the car. When I saw him, I simply greeted him and remembered that he was at that building the previous night.
I couldn't help but ask casually, "Did you go to the night market last night, Mr. Milton?"
He suddenly looked at me with a pair of dark eyes, deep and cold, giving me terrifying chills.
His icy aura was so sudden that it scared me. Shocked, I looked at him and lied, "Naomi bought a lot of delicious food from the night market yesterday. We couldn't find you when we went to your room, so we thought you went to the night market. Your phone was busy too."
He frowned slightly, and the coldness in his dark eyes eased. He looked at me and said with a smile, "I had something to do last night. I wasn't at the hotel."
I nodded and joked, "It's a pity that you didn't have a chance to eat with us. There was so much delicious food yesterday!"
He smiled and said, "I must seize the opportunity next time, then."
