After that, Sebastian went into the base. Linda got out of the car with black circles around her eyes. She looked at me and weakly greeted, "Morning!"

She heaved a sigh and wailed, "This is all because of the project. I worked hard all night. I'm so sleepy."

"Hm," I said, but I couldn't help but feel that something was amiss. She seemed to be hiding something from me.

Seeing that they had entered the base, I looked at Evan and asked, "Did Hendrix tell you about the walls of the base?"

Evan nodded, "Yes, Madam, please don't get

involved in this matter. I will handle it."

I nodded and went into the base.

The facilities on the first floor of the base had basically been set up, and Rowane, who was wearing a construction helmet, was giving orders to the workers on the first floor.

Evan and I went to the base and didn't rush to the first floor. We went to where the accident had happened on the ground floor. The crack caused by the machines the day before had been repaired.

The damaged machine had also been repaired. Evan and I looked at each other and went straight up to the first floor without saying a word.

Due to the fact that the first floor was still under construction, for safety's sake, Evan and I both wore construction helmets.

When Rowane saw us, she glanced indifferently at Evan and said, "Evan should have a lot of things to take care of right now. I will be responsible for this project in Lancille Village, as Mr. Roberts has said. You'd better pay more attention to your own tasks!"

Her words were quite straightforward. Evan nodded and said nothing else.

Rowane looked at me for a moment and said, "If I remember correctly, it should be Miss Reid who is responsible for this project. However, it seems that Mr. Milton is the one who has been handling everything recently. He's even been doing the follow-up. Is Miss Reid only here to visit?"

She was wearing high heels and standing in a higher position, so she appeared to be much taller than me. With her arms crossed, she gave off an oppressive feeling as she spoke.

I smiled lightly and said, "Thank you for reminding me, Miss Zanes. The project in Lancille Village, in theory, should be handed over from you to me. I hope that every time there is a need to communicate in the future, we can do so without problems."

She gave a fake smile, "Of course!"
