I shook my head and said, "No, I have a friend whose child is the same age as Anne. Since Anne has a lot of clothes that she doesn't wear anymore, it'll be a waste to just keep them at home. I'll be visiting her later, so I'll just bring them over."

The maid nodded.

Anne immediately came out of the pool when she saw me. Wrapped in a bath towel, she looked at me and said, "Mom, have you been very busy recently? You didn't come to see me. Grandma said that you have a lot of work to do. Is it true?"

I nodded, smiled faintly, and said with a hint of guilt, "Yes. I've been very busy recently, but I'm always thinking of you. Aren't I here now?" While speaking, I started wiping her wet hair with a bath towel. Valerie walked toward me wrapped in a bath towel too, and asked, "How're things at the Roberts Group? Is everything fine?"

I nodded my head and replied, "Everything is fine!"

She nodded and said, "You rarely come home. There are swimsuits here, you can go into the pool for a soak. It has minerals that are good for your health. Hendrix said that you always feel cold all year round. think it's because your body is too weak. I've booked a spa treatment later, you should join me."

I shook my head and said, "I still have something to do later, so..."

"Don't refuse. Health is more important. I heard that Hendrix purchased a new house in the north of the city. That's a natural hot spring area. I think he also wants you to take good care of your body. I asked the doctor a few days ago. He said that as long as you take good care of your body, it's possible for you to conceive. I know this has always bothered you. Arianna, we have to look ahead in life after all. We will only have a future if we face life with hope, right?"

I changed into the swimsuit and went into the pool. The water temperature was over 40 degrees and did much to relax me. As I sat in the pool, I felt my stress slowly seep away.

Anne must have been swimming a lot recently. She jumped straight into the pool and swam to my side swiftly. The pool wasn't too deep for her after all. She leaned against me and told me stories.

Valerie asked someone to bring over some pastries. After a while, the beautician arrived for our spa treatment. The Moore Family was very big, and Valerie was a woman who cared a lot about her appearance. She even had a special beauty room at home. Entering the room, I immediately lay down on the bed to enjoy the relaxation planned for the day. I fell asleep after a while.

When I woke up, the staff had already left. As I slowly blinked myself awake, and Valerie walked in with more snacks. "You are awake."

I nodded and got up to get dressed. My body felt exceptionally relaxed.

She smiled indulgently at me. "Eat something light before dinner. Fortunately, we've Anne by our side when you're not around. Otherwise, our days will be so boring."

I wasn't surprised that Hendrix was there too. When I saw him and Pedro playing chess, I didn't disturb them. Instead, I went into the kitchen to offer my help. Upon seeing me walk in, Valerie shooed me out. "Go to the living room and sit for a while. The food will be ready soon!"

I nodded and yawned. "When did Hendrix arrive?"

"He came about an hour ago," she said. Then, as if she suddenly remembered, she asked, "By the way, are you guys going to Oakland?"

I nodded and said, "We're going to see an old acquaintance of Master Roberts. It'll just be a short visit."

She said, "You guys are always so busy and don't have much time to rest. You guys should really take care of your health. Otherwise, your bodies won't be able to handle it!"
